I came in to replace my battery under warranty. I was helped by Rolando and he was amazing. He instantly pulled up my records and grabbed a battery to swap mine. Took less than 5 minutes to walk out with my new battery. Rolando is so knowledgeable and helpful and super friendly. Made this process so easy and pleasant. I had originally went to the location in East Palo Alto, staff was rude and condescending. Employees seemed like it was a bother to ask if they had my battery in stock and warranty replacement. Redwood City location is now my go to for anything I need. Thank you for amazing staff, clean and well stocked store.

I spoke with an employee named Rolando at this location over the phone the other day. Needed a new battery for my car. He found the exact battery for me and informed me the San Mateo location had them in stock. He called over there and had them put it on hold for me. I was hoping for install as well. He informed me if they had the resources and time they would do it. He offered for me to bring it to his location and he would do it for me if they didnt which I know he did not have to do. Rolando was super helpful, selfless, respectful, and above and beyond for me making this process smooth and worry free. Rolando's guest service was excellent!
Having battery problems late on a Friday afternoon and visited the store to buy a new one! I was helped by Alfredo the store manager who even installed the battery for me which was difficult to access and in the dark ! Alfredo and his team were great and really go the extra mile for the customer! Definitely recommend this store over other auto parts stores in the area!

Store manager Alfredo Elizondo Valencia saved me $900!! My 2020 Chevy Bolt was giving me an alert on my dashboard that my key fob's battery was low. The dealership told me I needed new keys even tho I'd changed the batteries in both fobs. Alfredo checked around and found that the way to clear the alert was to lock and unlock the car door with each fob. It worked! Alert gone and I don't need to be ripped off by the dealership replacing the fobs. Alfredo wouldn't let me pay him. Talk about 100% customer satisfaction...more like 1000%. Thank you, thank you, Alfredo.

Went to get my cars check engine light diagnosed. When I walked in it took a min for someone to greet me. I proceeded to explain why I was there and the guy asked me if I knew how to use a diagnostic machine I said no!. Instead of offering to come outside and help with this particular service, he then proceeds to tell me how to use the machine. Clearly, I have never used a diagnostic machine and I was already frustrated about my check engine light being on . After he explained how to use it I was still confused. He reluctantly decided to help me after one of his co-workers stated go out and help her. If this service is going to be provided whether it is free or not the employee should automatically help the customer regardless. And if help is not going to be provided, then it needs to be explained to the customer that it is a do it yourself service.

I bought a product and they only gave me the box, I left the store to leave things in the car, and I came back to buy something else that I forgot and they didnt help me. They had me waiting because the person at the register told me to wait because he had to settle an issue with his boss about a purchase that was made online by mistake, and the other cashier couldnt charge me because he was on the phone on a call! It was 09/07/23

highly recommend this place, lots of auto body shops around here to choose from. Was only getting a replacement battery but these guys were so kind and helpful, walked me through what I needed and helped to install the new battery. As a woman, i often get nervous in auto body stores but the men who work here were so kind and helpful, I ll definitely be coming back. Fair pricing as well

My car unexpectedly died far from home - after a very long day. I managed to get a jump and drove to the nearest AutoZone. I was greeted quickly and told Daniel the issue. After a few questions about my car he gave me my options. I asked about the installation and he said no worries, he would install the new battery. I was done and back on the road in under 20 minutes! Very happy with the service. Daniel was incredibly kind and very quick with the installation!

I was in distress when I came in being a senior Im sixty four years old and the customer service was beyond excellent, not only did the team help me with my car but they helped me relax. They provided excellent service and was knowledgeable about the products I needed to get to work today I would like to commend Alex Santana and Erika for everything they did today. I have been an AutoZone customer for over 50 years. Being sixty four years old sometimes people dont like to take their own time to help seniors.

Awesome experience! I was in need of a battery for my Ram 1500. I chose the battery that was $214. Said they had it but didn t after searching their inventory. They gave me a battery that was worth $249 for $214. The manager was great as was the technician who installed it, a very nice young man in med school at Stanford and working 2 jobs. I caught his name from his name tag, but forgot it. He does most of the work on peoples cars at this location. If you frequent this store you know who he is. Thank you so much and I recommend this store for your needs. 5 stars easily

This place has top notch service. I called last minute asking if they could change a battery. They initially said they couldn t because they didn t have enough staff but they could do it tomorrow. Once I said our car was dead on the side of the road now, Israel was quick to make arrangements to help us. He was so helpful and so kind. The road side assistance that jumped us ended up having batteries on hand so we didn t have to come make their day difficult but the extra mile that Israel was willing to go made such an impression on me. We ll be happy to go back for future needs. It s worth mentioning, we called O Reilly s down the road about 5 times and they never even picked up.

Two of your employees lied and try to deceive me and caused me stress over my perfectly good battery which I would have given to them for core value and bought an OVERPRICED battery when I did not need one! That is fraud! Dont try to bribe me. Goodbye AutoZone! ORIGINAL REVIEW: My 2 year old car battery is slightly discharged from my dome light being left on. It almost turned over the engine, but needed a few more cranking amps. I was at the supermarket parking lot a block or so away, so I walked the battery over to this Auto Zone for a charging. The young man put it on the tester and immediately said it was bad and needed replacing. I asked him to charge it anyway and he put it on the charger and I went back to my car. Another employee calls me half an hour later saying my battery is bad and needs replacing and immediately quotes me some VERY high prices for a replacement (over $200!). RED FLAG. I went back to get my battery. It started the car and I drove to the nearby OReillys (I bought the battery from an OReillys in East Bay). They charged it, tested it, and gave it a clean bill of health. Its one week later and about 200 miles of driving with repeated cold starts and it flips right over every time. The battery probably has three more reliable years of service. Stop trying to rip people off Auto Zone!

Now when it comes to auto parts places Im old school and extremely picky. I used to work on cars for a living and I still work on my own I know my way around a garage I know how to get into a toolbox I know my stuff. I dont like to walk in and be treated like Im a ding dong that doesnt know anything. These guys treated me respectfully they didnt treat me like I was a ding-dong they helped me got me the best deal and they had what I needed which is unusual cuz usually its not the case. And their prices werent too bad I had to get a new battery for my RV and I got a decent one for a good price with a 2-year warranty. Needless to say their customer service was awesome and I will definitely be going back.

Be careful. Placed an online order for an in stock item. They didnt have it in stock. Wasted a good portion of my time waiting for the confirmation email when I could have gone somewhere else to get the part.
I came here around 4pm on a Thursday, and every employee I talked to was extremely helpful. This is the kind of place Id go out of my way to come back to because I know Id get great service

Dad went in, waited 15 minutes, 4 guys their and they didnt even recognize his existence, a guy came in AFTER my dad, said whys no on their helped him instead of my dad. Put part back on the shelf and left. Thats not how you run a business.

Terrible service. Me and my husband arrived at this establishment due to it being the closest Auto place to San Francisco that was open. We requested for them to help us place 60 dollar windshield wipers onto our car since they were professionals! They are trained to do these things fast and easy. We were told because theres only two of them in the establishment they arent allowed to come outside at night. TERRIBLE. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE.

After waiting on hold for 25 minutes and 45 minutes with the Honda dealership and a different AutoZone location, respectively, these folks picked up the phone right away and encouraged me to come in to evaluate my car battery and determine whether I needed a replacement. No COVID-19 closure; no were all booked up today, so we cant see your car until Monday. I came in and was seen within a few minutes, having expected to wait over an hour. The technician who helped me didnt speak much English, and I dont speak any Spanish, so we had a delightful time muddling through with Google Translate. Both of us were cheery and in good spirits, despite the car batterys failure having been very stressful for me, derailing my schedule for the day. The technician, whose name I failed to get, was super helpful. He determined that the battery itself was dead/dying, and that it wasnt simply the corrosion. He replaced the battery, cleaned up the corrosion, and I was on my way less than 30 minutes after I walked in. What a phenomenal experience. Im likely to return specifically to this location if I need more car parts/service in the Bay Area.
They never have anything
I dont recommend. Of the three staff members I saw, two were wearing their masks under their chin (face uncovered completely) and the third was wearing his mask with nose completely exposed. As far as service, I also had a poor experience. I went it for a simple OBD scan as my check engine light was on. I followed the directions on the scanner, and got Error multiple times on the readout. I went back inside and told a staff member that it was giving me an error - the staff member took the device, hooked it up to the computer, and told me that my car was a completely different Year and Model, and that it had a different issue than what was actually wrong. I pointed out that the car Year and Model were off, and the staff member went out to my car, still no mask on. He got in my car, played with my steering wheel like he was driving a racecar, and then got my code. As he walked off he was swinging the OBD sensor like it was a toy. Given the lack of face coverings (all other businesses Ive been in lately require this) and unprofessional behavior in general, I wouldnt recommend this AutoZone.

Every time I call I wait over a minute for them to pick up and then they put me on hold for for more then 30 min! Looks like I have to spend my money elsewhere.
Dont bother with the curbside pickup. Order confirmation email for same-day pickup said an order ready email would arrive. Two days later, no email, had to call and confirm its ready. Drove over, no answer after a couple minutes of ringing. Wait 10 minutes, call again, get put on hold. Gave up after over 20 minutes sitting on hold. Tried again later off-peak, well be out in 5 minutes. Nope. Over 30 minutes later, nothing. Called again, itll be right out. Finally, another 10+ minutes later, someone brought my order out. 5 phone calls, 2 trips, and over an hour sitting in the parking lot just for one small item.

The cashiers were so helpful and literally helped me through the entire process. All I needed was a replacement h7 bulb and I was in and out in 7 minutes. I had gone down the street to O reilly earlier that day, and had the worst experience with no actual help from the O reilly staff. Don t make the same mistake I did and just go to Autozone first!
Shelves are empty. I went there to buy a battery charger, and out of six different chargers that were theoretically for sale, only one was actually on the shelf. Everything else was empty. Useless.

Great service, fair prices. I needed a new car battery installed on my Honda Accord. They previous battery was installed poorly by a different mechanic. Enrique and Torri were able to take out the old battery despite it being a tough job, and get the new one installed properly. Would highly recommend .
