These guys really know what they are doing. They fixed the mushy brakes on my very old pickup truck when others couldn t - because they knew the lines had to be bled in a different sequence than most vehicles.

Locust Street Auto Repair is transparent and direct with what they are doing with your car throughout the whole process, providing the customer with pictures and prices of worn out parts, allowing the customer to make the final call on what gets done. I had my car serviced and the people were very friendly, efficient and quick. I accidentally left my phone and they held it for me. Not to mention the cute stuffed animals left in the car seats.

I went in for an oil change and they found some other things that were wrong and took care of changing a bolt near my tire that had been put on the wrong direction from a previous mechanic. They were honest and helpful.

Locust Street Auto Shop does good work. The shop recently made several repairs on my 1999 Suburban: replace transmission (Jasper), replace catalylic converters, front-end work to name a few. They provide a convenient estimate via text message and will explain and work with you on what needs to be repaired. You can also talk with the mechanic and see what needs repaired. The shop is clean, and vehicles are kept in overnight if needed. They use quality parts and offer a great warranty on their work. Kurt.

It wasnt the shops fault because a delivery driver didnt bring all the parts at once, so it took a little longer than normal, but they did an excellent job kept me updated.The price was great AND THEY HAD SNACKS!

This place has excellent service at excellent prices. I went in for a major service at ~75k miles for a car I plan to keep for 200k miles. They were accommodating in terms of price matching competitors and usage of coupons. Their service was fantastic. They accepted nothing less than the highest quality products in the course of this service, and, when there was a hiccup in getting these products, they offered a ride if I needed one and reasonable measures to make sure my life wasnt interrupted. Cant recommend this place enough. Great service, great communication, and excellent attention to detail.

I would like to start by thanking, Aaron and the owners. They went above and beyond to make sure that me and my family were taking care of. Their customer service was on point very professional, organized, efficient, and true to their word. You can t put a price tag on honest and truthful Service. I took my 2016 GMC Acadia for AC service they were able to find the issue and within a reasonable timeframe I was able to get me and my family back on the Road with cold air. I would absolutely hands-down recommend this business if you can appreciate and value, great customer service, knowledgeable staff members w excellent communication. Great job too the owners of this establishment for empowering their team members to do right by the customer.

Fantastic Service all around! Wow, we were in a pinch when our Ford F150 started acting up in the heat on a Friday at 3:30 heading out for the weekend. They right away found a way to get us in check it out and remedy the both the radiator and the AC condenser. We were on the road but 5 pm. Super great people and super accommodating!

Great service and Great price on my oil change! They had a nice waiting room that I used while they worked on my car with coffee, water, and a charger . The service took about 45 mins, but too me it was a better experience than a speedy oil change because they didn t bother me with upselling my filters or coolant and had a better price.

I have an old car that needed a tune up. When I called to make an appointment and talk about what I needed, Aaron explained everything in advance about what details were involved in the work and the price fair and comparable. I was able to get in the next day. There was something that was missed, totally unrelated to the work performed, just unfortunate timing, and I needed to return for some additional work soon after. They listened to my concerns, and made things right. They provided not only great service to me, but to my car. I was sitting at a stop light and I wasnt sure my car was still running because the engine was so quiet. I am glad to have a good mechanic when need one. The only thing I might say is communication between the staff members could use a little improvement, I had to repeat my situation when speaking with another staff member, but they work hard, care about me as a person, and care about my car. They do great work and I am happy to have a good mechanic when I need one.

I have been to this shop three times now and I have to say I am very pleased. They are on time. Communicate well and priced very well. I think I found them on Yelp and I will be going back whenever my older car has issues.

I had an appointment set for 2 when I dropped the vehicle off they told me theyd call me when the car was done being inspected. I never heard from them and when I finally called them 10 minutes to closing time they said the car had never been inspected because the tech wasnt even there. My car sat in the shop for 3 hours and had not been touched. I went back and was quoted a total of 2,300 for an AC repair and ended up going elsewhere and got the repair done for less then what they were going to charge me for my compressor work alone . I agreed to them replacing my compressor but when they realized I needed a condenser as well they where going to charge me an additional 600+ I knew they were over charging me so I told them no so they put back my old compressor and charged me 500 dollars for labor which was still ridiculous. This place is a joke.

Transmission problem

I m out of town didn t know anywhere that is willing to fix my car fast. Most shop require appointments but I call them the exact day my vehicle had a problem late in the evening they take in my car right away and told me they have it ready the next day for me to go home. Fixing my timing belt, alternating etc. Totally Recommend FAST AND EFFICIENT.

Got a coupon in the mail. Was a very cheep price for a synthetic oil change. I drive a 2014 Toyota Avalon. It was a big professional shop. They had a really nice air conditioned waiting room with phone charging station. My wait was about 1:15 minutes. I don t mind waiting for things done right and professional. The staff was very nice and helpful. I am happy with my service. I got a report on my phone with a picture of my car in the shop. I thought that was cool. They made a customer and friend.

Locust street auto repair should always be your first choice in Redding when you need work done to Your vehicle. Top notch service which is hard to come by these days! Had a water pump go out in my work vehicle and any down time is lost revenue for my business. They were able to get me in and complete all repairs the very next day and the price was incredibly fair! They even dropped me off and picked me up so I could save $15-$25 on an Uber expense. I don t normally leave reviews but this place deserved me to stop and leave a review for their above and beyond efforts from their entire team!

I broke down while traveling from the coast to Reno. Locust street garage got me in right away and dedicated a mechanic to my repair. The repair cost and estimate were accurate and they got me on the way as soon as they could.

They were very nice and the waiting room was comfy. When vehicle was done being inspected the mechanic was kind enough to explain everything that was wrong. Inspection price was very affordable.

With Redding heat you need your air conditioner working. Went in yesterday, was immediately helped and the mechanic discovered a mouse was storing acorns in the cabin filter dropping into the fan area. I was in and out quickly and air running great! Appreciate the kind staff and mechanic who worked on my car. I highly recommend this business!

The service manager, Brandon, took a negative situation that would have initially lost me as a customer and went out of his way to make it right. I will not change this review to 5 stars due to the one negative experience I have had. They were able to get me in right away after some car troubles. They inspected, called back quickly and let me know the immediate issues without pushing me to fix all the minor issues. They were able to get the needed parts and have it fixed by the next day for me! Front office and mechanics where easy to talk to and made the whole ordeal less stressful for me. Terrible experience, had my vehicle for over 4 months and was promised week after week it will be done in a week paid more than double for used parts that were supposed to be factory new!! And they were going to charge me an extra $1000.00 for sometging that wasnt done! Never again. Lesson Learned.

Tryed to up sale me for parts my car didn t need, then refused to fix my car because they couldn t find the issue. If you re not mechanically inclined they will scam you for your money be careful.

Brook is amazing and remembers her customers. I was thankful that they offer rides to and from the shop normally Im just stuck waiting around for a few hours. They usually hold my car for a day or two when I take it in but they did a whole inspection on my car so that could be the reason for holding it so long it is a little expensive with labor costs added on but I was given 3 year warranty on all the parts and I did have to take it back in which they offered for free because of the warranty. I trust them to do the job right and they stand behind their work.

Offered free estimate. Later charge about $200 for it. Also their estimate was super high compared with other shops. Not recommended to any one. Repairs cost would have been extremely high that I was offer to leave the vehicle for as long as I need to come out with the money.

UPDATE!! Thank you so much Brenna for reaching out and making it right! My truck is now oil leak free and I will definitely be returning for any future repairs. Went for an oil leak repair. Spent $1100, and had to return 3 different times because the leak was not fixed. Needless to say I will not be going back a 4th time, the leak still is not fixed and they want me to spend another $2,200 to fix it. I gave them plenty of time and opportunity to fix it and make things right and they will not.

Locust st auto failed to tighten the lug bulks on our jeep. We realized They were so loose when Our jeep started making a rattling noise. Learn how to do your jobs. We drive with a child in the car everyday and from the pure lack of stupidity this could have resulted in a terrible accident. DO NOT TRUST THIS SHOP!! Double check everything they do.

Worst place in redding please do not go there go to sal s instead please, they do a terrible job and they charge you hundreds more for what they actually should and they ll take they re sweet time to even if your on emergency, bunch of scammers
