I can t say enough good things about the team at Pep Boys! They have taken great care of my 11-year-old car with over 200,000 miles on it, and I truly appreciate their honesty and dedication. They ve replaced my tires twice, and every visit, I feel confident that they are looking out for my safety not just trying to make a sale. Their prices are fair, and they take the time to explain what s needed based on how much I drive. It s refreshing to work with a shop that prioritizes customers over profit. Highly recommend their Arden & Rancho Cordova locations.

Very poor experience. The guy at the front desk was so rude and he was alone trying to manage all the store by himself and he told me earlier he will do the job in 30 min but it took 10 min to talk to me. Anyway I think they should take care of their customer.

Long time client of Pepboys Service Centers from Vallejo, Eastbay, S.F. peninsula, Stockton, Modesto and now in Rancho Cordova. They have been consistently providing quality service at reasonable prices. Ive had alot of vehicles serviced from business to personal and they have done great professional work and if there ever was a problem after they always took care of it. Getting a good mechanic is always a problem and shop rates are high these days, but I would give Pepboys a try, they have been great for me, thats my opinion but do your research.

Here s an updated version of your one-star review: Terrible experience at Pep Boys. I brought my Mercedes Benz for an oil change with an appointment at 11 AM, but they didn t give my car back until 2 PM three hours for a simple service! On top of that, my friend also had an oil change here, and his car ended up with additional problems afterward. This place is unreliable and unprofessional. Don t trust them with your car.

Had an appt in the AM for an oil change, returned 5 1/2 hours later and my truck hadn t moved. Have had service issues before that I tried to overlook because it s close to my office and the location is convenient. Will not use again.

On September 28, I came here to fix a low beam headlight. The light wasn t working, maybe the bulb had burned out, I m not sure. They replaced it for $120, but two and a half months later, the bulb isn t working again. I don t think the lifespan of a bulb is only two months. I will not come here again. Your work is of poor quality because a bulb should not last only two and a half months. I rate your work as unsatisfactory.

Absolutely the best customer service I have experienced in a long time. Ricky was very friendly with my midget and made sure my vehicle was ready in a timely manor.

This Pep Boys is amazing. The service was straight to the point and direct. As a woman, I get told I need services that I dont need and constantly run the risk of spending extra dollars for unnecessary services. This Pep Boys did not overcharge or manipulate more money from me and they got my car back on the road.

I had my air conditioner compressor replaced. I do not know how long the after-market compressor will last, but the service was excellent. It also cost less than half of what the Honda dealer would have charged me.

Was able to book a last minute reservation for the same day and they were quick to get it up and serviced. We used Pep Boys all the time down in Los Angeles and always felt comfortable with the brand and the level of service. Were looking forward to the same here.

I went in Sat after work and asked what the chances were of getting an oil change that day which was after 4PM or Sunday morning. The lady said Sun was better and offered to schedule an appointment for me. Went back Sunday and was in and out in a little over an hour.

I was traveling through Sacramento to go back home to Reno when my tire blew out - on the Sunday before Labor day - a lot of shops were closed and the ones that were open wouldnt service my car without an appointment. I called Pep Boys about 15 mins before closing and they took me in super last minute. They changed out all my tires within 30 mins (two guys worked on it at once) provided amazing customer and reassured me they were happy to help since it was an emergency. They made sure my car was good to go, inspected my brakes, etc. The tires were very reasonably priced, and my drive back home went smoothly. Super thankful for good people out there and planning on taking my car to Pep Boys going forward!

The staff at the Pep Boys in Rancho Cordova was amazing. They are saving their company. Pep Boys gets a huge fail though because they have a very outdated computer system still using dial up internet, that the poor employees had to keep rebooting the computer s operating system and making customs wait for simple transactions. For starters, I placed my appointment and services order online, but apparently at the store level they can not edit any orders made online. Then it turned out this shop couldn t do the alignment my car needed badly that wore out the outside edge of my front left tire down to the metal, and I didn t find out til after they put the new tires on, so now I m driving around with brand new top shelf expensive tires with my car very badly out of alignment, until I can get into my dealership next week to get it aligned. And they have to mail me a refund check for the alignment that their old computer system let me schedule online, and that check will take weeks to get to me. The computer system asked me the year make and model of my vehicle when I made the online appointment, Yet it still scheduled me and charged me for a service that this shop and no of the other shops in this area can perform since I have European car that they don t have the right equipment for (another fail at the corporate level) and the shop can t edit orders made online, so they have to mail me a refund check. Pep Boys, you are putting your staff in a horrible position to always have to apologize and cover for your cheap failing infrastructure and support systems for your employees and brick and mortar shops. The company gets a fail, but the employees at that store get an A+. They were wonderful. But you suck. My new tires are fire though. If my left front tires edge gets worn out before I can get my car aligned this week, your gonna be replacing that tire

Worst experience, it seems they don t care about time, I had an appointment (take appointment 4 days before) at 9 am for oil change and wheel alignment they said it will complete in 2 hours (I asked them how long does it take so that I can plan to stay there or come later). My car is in parking until 10:30am, I got completion msg at 11:20am, when I went to counter to check, they said only oil change completed go and wait for 1 and half hours. I didn t get any updates until I check with them. I expected, Atleast they should have told while dropping car, might take more time. I take appointment to avoid waiting, I feel they don t care about appointments and timings.

Jay and Tim were awesomely pleasant, professional and honest. I also liked the price quoted for four new tires. I came here after walking out of America s Tire in shock with the lousy customer service and prices. I think my loyalty has just changed to Pep Boys based on this experience. Long drive from san jose on a friday and arrived to pep boys at 5:30pm for an oil change since they close at 7pm and was told the tech had one car left and change a tire to close out the shift (middle finger up to this location)

Needed a battery replaced on a Saturday afternoon. Called the store, they answered right away, I was provided a competitive quote. They told me they could change the battery quickly. Neighbor jumped my car, I drove there and they were true to their word, within 20 minutes I was off with a new battery. No frills, but highly competent. Would highly recommend.

What an efficient team! I had an appointment for an oil change and my car was riding loud. Immediately Charlie noticed my tires were worn bad, something I hadnt thought of, I knew I needed a front end alignment so I got that done and my bumper had a bad ding and the holders were off so it was hanging. 3hours later everything was done and I was on my way! They even used my air filter I had already purchased before! I didnt get the you are stupid lady I dont want to talk to you attitude either. I will definitely be back for any car care in the future.

Tim was very friendly and made sure I knew exactly what was going on with my car since Ill admit, Im clueless. He gave me all the paperwork and details I need for my next appointment for additional work that needs to be done. I appreciated a mechanic who doesnt mansplane to a woman but rather gives me reassurance on my cars needs and what I need to do to keep it running smoothly.

I appreciated the store getting me in on short notice, even though I had to wait a couple of hours for an appointment I had scheduled. However, I was not satisfied with my experience when I got home and was able to look at the invoice attached to my receipt. Evidently, it is standard practice to add an extended warranty without discussing it with the customer. It is taking quite a bit of time and energy on my part to get this refunded, as I had no desire to purchase an extended warranty- buyers beware and ask to see the invoice prior to giving them your credit card or cash.

The first time visit for car inspection was quick and good experience, but the second time visit for car inspection took 30 minutes. The second Technician failed my car inspection for my tires. Car inspection usually takes 5 minutes but this guy took 30 minutes. The Technician tries to sell me a new tires. I took my car to another shop and they passed my inspection.

I am pleased with the appointment and service and communication. Cost was a bit much, but they offered a coupon. Also, parking lot was not the safest.

Tim has a great attitude and takes care of my car, every time I come to Pepboys with a vehicle issue. They make customers want to return because they give you an estimated wait time but always beat it by a surprising amount.

I found out about Pep Boys through CarAdvise. I scheduled a same day appointment for an oil change. I arrived and was assisted by Tim. He was training another staff member. He told me the wait would be about 45 minutes before my car was pulled up. It actually took less time. My car was ready in about 30 minutes. Tim advised my oil filter was dirty and told me the cost, and how long it would take to replace. I approved the replacement and in less than 5 minutes my car ready. I am very pleased with the service I received.
