Honest!!! I went there thinking I needed oil change, brakes and full 160k mile tune up. They checked my car and said only oil change needed after full free inspection. Kind, helpful, and honest! Front desk employee even took me home when I dropped off my car because I thought it would be there overnight. This will be my go to place from now on. Highly recommend.

Charlie was so friendly and thorough. He took my car in the shop within 20 minutes (I didnt have an appointment), aligned it because I hit a wild pig, then put a pin in to keep a broken piece together! He put in the pin cause he noticed it, no charge.. Wow. Thank you Charlie and Kam, who took care of all paperwork very efficiently.

Have to say a big Thank You to Kam and Charlie. I had a company vehicle at the dealership, and they wanted $2200 to repair items that I wasnt sure of. After a review by the tech, I was told I would have been wasting my money. Saved me $2105. This wasnt the first time I got a straight answer, so much appreciated.

I was away on a work trip and heading home. I had 250 miles to go. I came to the shop via tow truck at about 1:30 PM and they managed to take a look at what was wrong. Get the parts fix it and have me back on the road by 3:30 PM. Very happy!!

Recently my car s information cluster had been going out randomly while driving so I had no idea how fast I was going or anything for periods of time which was scary. After being turned away from multiple auto shops in the area including being told by one I should just monitor it, I finally found Harry s Auto Repair. Had my 2011 Toyota Prius towed into Harrys 2 weeks ago. The engine was rattling badly on the Freeway. Harrys rep looked at it the next day. As i was traveling through i stayed at a local motel to wait. After some prodding in the AM that i needed the auto by end of day, they did an evaluation at an approx $180 cost . There were three (3) ignition coils that were bad. The cost for these parts were $200 EACH + tax. Interesting that I had one replaced 7 months earlier at a shop in Los Angeles which charged $100 + tax for the SAME PART. The HARRYs Rep at the counter told me that i needed the BEST parts for this. This was NOT TRUE as i found out later through research that these parts routinely fail after 60k Miles. There is no need to get the Top of the line. He was UPSELLING. Harrys MARKUP appeared to be 100%. Therefore , the reputable mechanic in LA ALSO had a markup and STILL came out at $100. Harrys DOUBLED THE already HIGH PRICE and made $100 profit on EACH PART. I walked out of there paying $840 for service and PARTS that should have been at least $200 LESS> I dont deride this service facility to MAKE A PROFIT> However, this charging for these parts were BEYOND a REASONABLE markup. HARRYS has a very well maintained office and accommodations for customers. THERE IS A REASON. The HIGHER PRICES go to pay for this shop. I SINCERELY DOUBT THAT HARRYS provides services that are best for your wallet as they DESCRIBE ON THEIR WEBSITE. They PRICE GOUGE on parts. IF you are reading this and use them - QUESTION THEIR PRICING.

My Son s car had a noise after a timing belt kit install in Tucson. He had planned on leaving Sunday morning to Twin Falls ID. Harry s was open on Saturday and said to bring the car in. They found a problem with the belt adjuster. Unfortunately the cars engine light came on before they got to far into the trip so my new car went on a adventure. Based on their many stellar reviews - I called the other morning to see if they had time to do an oil change and they fit me right in. They called to let me know that my air filter needed to be replaced and then my car was ready for pick up within a totally of a couple hours. Everyone at Harry s went above and beyond to help us when our car had engine failure on our roadtrip from San Diego to Seattle. We won the AAA lottery when the tow truck dropped us at Harry s. Sadly, our Prius was not destined to drive again. But dealing with Charlie and the rest of the staff at Harry s made the experience as good as could be expected. Amazingly helpful crew all the way around.

I pulled in without calling prior and the gentleman here still took the time to look at my car. I did not have any major issues, (worn out and damaged splash guard on my front tire). The splash guard was dragging on the road while I was driving and they got it to the point where I can at least drive without it dragging until I get a replacement. Best service Ive ever had. Sad that I forgot to get their names.

These guys were extremely prompt and helpful. They pushed my car to the garage from the guys across precison auto who rudely denied me service. They were honest and finished the job in few hours compare to precisions who told be next day service. Kam was very helpful and did not advantage of situation as I had wrong fuel in car ofcourse mistakenly.

Had the liberty to experience the excellent service from Harry s Auto Repair. My Lexus had some leaks coming from the transmission and the team gladly investigated and identified the cause. They provided an in-depth explanation and an estimated competitive price for the repair. They have also identified other issues with the car which is consistent with other mechanics that investigated the car. This hence conclude that they are very honest and really cares about the customer. The best thing is that I came in Saturday morning, and even though they seemed busy. I live in San Francisco and I and my car broke down on the freeway in Pleasanton. Its hard to trust mechanics, however, Charlie was authentic and honest with what my problem was and that day I had to let an era to really amazing Volkswagen that Ive had for over 20 years, RIP. Thank you Charlie and staff for making me feel better about my situation yesterday. Couldnt have done this without you.

That was not a good impression. I called to asked a/c repair. And I toll him that my friend who was introduced about your place. I was wait about 10mins and than they were hang up the phone. I called back and no one pick up the and go to the voicemail. I think , it might be the same to other customers, you probably won t go to that place at all.

Updated from 2 to 4 stars. The total $ came out to almost twice the amount quoted without notice due to a performed procedure I explicitly asked them not to do because it s easy enough to do yourself. What s worse is that the problem wasn t fixed the next day, so I had to take my car back after paying twice what I expected for an unfixed issue. This time, they were extremely gracious by fixing my car and even replacing the problematic part for free. I think my case might ve been rare, and their customer service after realizing they messed up the first day shows they re trying.

I called because a few other automotive shops suggested a diagnostic test when what I really needed was just a safety check driving my car from CA to NV just wanted to be sure everything was in great working order. I called ahead and the young lady in the office asked me a few questions, one of which was what is actually wrong with your car ? When I said nothing but explained I didn t wanna get stuck in the desert, SHE said, oh, let s just do a safety check for $95. 3 other shops we re quoting me up to $195 for a diagnostic . When I took my car in yesterday, Kam was great. Checked me in quick and said it d be a couple hours. My car was done in about 1.5 hrs, and I noticed they have a small discount for AAA members too! When I picked up my car, there wasn t a thing wrong, except a high beam light that was out. Kam was kind enough to take it out, checked to see if they had one in stock, and when they didn t, he told me if I went around the block to NAPA and picked one up he d be happy to put it in for me at no charge! Being a widow and living alone, he went the extra mile for me and the entire experience at Harry s was quick, smooth, and enjoyable - as far as car issues go! I ll definitely go back for other issues I may have and definitely refer them to friends and fam! Thank you so much!!!

This was my first time going here. I had a great interaction with employee over the phone, who instructed me to come in anytime I wanted. I needed to replace break pads and rotors; also a brake light. Usually at other places, they take the whole day to do that--sometimes over night. Not this place. It was so quick I thought they didnt even do it at all. Excellent customer service and friendly people make this place my go-to for anything car related.

Noticed one of my brake lights was out and wanted to get it serviced. The response time to my request and the speed and quality of service was outstanding. The shop owner is awesome and would definitely recommend service here.

I have 3 special needs kids and dont have the time to fix my van. I need my van so I can take my kids to school. On a short notice Harrys took it in on a Saturday and had it repaired before 2pm and gave me a discount too. The lady at the front desk was very nice and the guy that repaired my van understood what I was explaining about the noises that was coming from my wheel rotor or calibers. Very good place. Cam was my main contact with Harry s. He was communicative and very empathetic when he had to tell me there was a lot more wrong with my car than we had thought. He and the team worked quickly and made my car run wonderfully again. Every step they could go an extra mile they did. Because of my lack of car knowledge I can t be certain I got the absolute best price on everything, but I m still recommending them because the customer service was top notch. Heads up: if you re getting an inspection, the cost will not be applied to repairs if you decide to go with Harry s. It s a small thing, but useful to know. Their inspection is also the least expensive from anywhere close to here. Thank you Cam.

Had a breakdown outside of Pleasanton, and AAA towed me to Harrys. They were able to quickly diagnose the problem the next day, and even though I wasnt able to swing the repair cost, they have been so courteous and professional that Id highly recommend them to literally anyone. These guys really care about their customers, even the first time ones that theyve only met once.

Very sad to give this review because they were some of the sweetest people but this is an honest review from the service I received and Im sure many will agree if they were in my shoes. Went in because my truck wouldnt start had to have it towed because Im from out of town traveling for work. Truck starts right up for the guy so I felt like he immediately dismissed fixing it at all. Its happened before but since I travel for work now I figured its best to go get it fixed so it doesnt happen anymore. I was told there was nothing to fix if he cant see the truck not starting then he doesnt see a problem. My concern was it was going to happen again and Ill be stranded again and I voiced that and this mans response was oh you will be. Im no mechanic but after a few google searches and videos I narrowed it down to the starter. Actually changed it myself this weekend and my ford is running like a champ again. Needless to say no help from this shop AND they charged me an hour for diagnosing absolutely NOTHING. 170$ for them to send me on my way to break down the very next week. Dont get me wrong I get time is money but I watched them diagnose my truck all he did was scan it which i had to ask to be done btw, fiddle with a few things, and then proceed to let me sit there for two hours to come up with nothing. Fixed nothing, charged me for nothing I just felt robbed honestly. This shop is the reason why people dont trust mechanics.

The brakes were making noise on our vehicle. They were able to take me in the same day and replace the brakes and the rotors for a fair price. They are extremely nice people. I feel that are very trustworthy and extremely efficient.

Brought my Scion FR-S in to have a cam carrier oil leak fixed up, which is a major job that includes pulling the motor out of the car. Once they had everything they needed to start, they were done within a couple of days, and I had them replace my clutch as well as a couple of other small things. I am writing this several weeks to a month after the job was done, and the car so far is running strong and I have no reason to go back in. Overall very friendly, laid back staff and gave me helpful input with keeping my FRS running.

AVOID!!!! I DROVE my car in for an diagnostic assessment afterward he WOULDNT let me have my car back until it was fixed. Even when I was ASKING to PAY the $189 diagnostic fee and leave. He tells me it needs to be towed and it is undrivable.... But I drove it into your shop for a diagnostic assessment not exploratory surgery. He literally undid wiring that I had done at another shop and told me it needed to be repaired again... I could do it better.. $3,100 was the bill to fix it... left my car in pieces after a diagnostic assessment... I think its my property and I should be allowed to have my car. It seems like theft to take it and not give it back to me. I have filed a complaint with the BBB as well. Worst mechanic experience ever.

I had a great experience at Harry s Auto Repair! I visited Harry s 2 days ago and the person at the front desk named Kam was extremely knowledgeable, kind and patient with me which I really appreciated! This was the first time visiting this shop. I ll be honest, this was the most THROUGH review of my car that has ever been done. I was truly impressed. Their analysis of my vehicle was so detailed and documented I was basically in surprised. Picked up my Car today and The oil change was $75.23 in total. Kam pointed out items in my car to look out for and items that need to be addressed without being pressure. They located at 183 Wyoming St Pleasanton, CA 94566. Absolutely recommended this place and Look forward to going back!

Very quick and courteous service

Everyone was very helpful and prompt. I was given an estimate for two repairs within an hour. One day later both repairs were done and it cost exactly as estimated. No extra charges, time, or complications at all.

I broke down on the freeway going to work coming from Tracy and had to get towed in. They were welcoming from the phone called made to the time my truck was fixed and great customer service. I had to replace my alternator, belt and battery. Price is reasonable and they make the process very easy . Even though I live in Tracy I would drive back to do any other work from them . Trustworthy!

Harrys was great! When my check engine light came on I went to another repair shop first (fyi - dont go to Ford Livermore service). Those other people told me I needed to replace like 6 things, and tried to squeeze in a few things I definitely didnt need. So I went to Harrys. They were fast, courteous, and only sold me only what I needed. Actually I asked for new brake pads on the rear wheels and front wheels, and they called me back to tell me I only needed them on the front. So they are trustworthy. They used proper troubleshooting methodology to get my check engine light to turn off... that is trying one thing at a time and starting with the most likely issue, rather than just replacing everything. Im a big fan and Ill be coming back to Harrys Auto Repair next time my car has problems. Highly recommended!

Suspension system replacement.

Our van broke down on the highway at night with our kids in it. AAA towed us here, and we could not have been happier with the service. Everyone we talked to was kind, knowledgeable, and understanding. Our van was diagnosed and repaired so efficiently. They provided second mile service by sending a drive to pick us up when our vehicle was ready. We cannot recommend them enough!

I had a problem with the driver powered seat moving forward/backward on my Jeep Compass. The dealership wanted $250 just to diagnose it, without applying the $250 towards the repairs. At Harry s I left the car, they called half an hour later and told me that it was a mask being stuck in the seat motor stopping it from working - they removed it and that fixed the problem, and they charged me just $80. They could have easily kept the car the whole day and claimed that it was a bigger problem and charged me much more. Very honest - they gained a new customer.

Highly recommend Harry s Auto Shop in Pleasanton! I called yesterday to drop off my car since it had a bad leak, so I brought it in and they said it was probably condensation from the AC and they offered to check for me right away before I left to see if I needed something fixed or not- turns out they were right and they went ahead and topped of my coolant free of charge since it was a little low. A lot of auto mechanics try to rip off women especially, so I was so impressed with their honesty. Will definitely be back!

Kam was very detailed explaining the service and what was fixed on my vehicle. My vehicle needed the fuel pump, fuel filter and fuel relay was replaced and fixed quickly. Overall the experience and service was satisfying. Would recommend for future repairs and maintenance.

They just did the alignment and oil change I asked for. Didnt try to upsell anything else or try to scare me into thinking I needed something else. I hate when that happens, so like Harrys style. As far as I can tell, they did a good job on what they did, and price was good, so Ill be back!

Idle air control system replace

My car broke down on highway. AAA tolled my car to Harry s auto shop. They were able to accommodate my need for not coming to the shop with my car, and having someone pick me up after the work was done. They were courteous and professional, I was very happy with their service.

I had to come to Palo Alto from Fresno. As my car was previously in an accident it was not in any condition to be driven. My front tires were wearing out on the interior edges so they were down to the metal being exposed. Yes, I had a blown tire in the highway. Thank God I safely reached the R_ shoulder. I was under stress. I had my car towed from Tracy CA at 11:00pm by AAA Service towing. Selected Harry sAuto Services by a AAA recommendation. I filled out the convenient envelope, dropped in my keys. Next day Kan made contact and explained what I needed. I agreed; before 5:00 pm my auto was ready. My vehicle was having problems on account of an accident. Almost everything was fixed. (A part not available, they volunteered to get at a later date as it is not made must be harvested from a junkyard.) I had to return to Fresno therefore Kam wrote down the part and explained the problem reassuring me that my car was safe. It was, I got to Fresno and I didn t need to return to the shifty shyster mechanic (that I found out he was driving my car to commute home). My insurance has a gps device, it records ALL my auto s movements. He cost me $50.00 more on insurance on account of the mileage he used. How shifty is that??? I m very happy with Harry s Auto, they took the stress of my car issues away. They fixed everything they could and resolved my problem of returning to a shyster mechanic in Fresno. The customer service was excellent, although I did not have work done here as the problem was covered by warranty and needed to be towed to dealership, I was given great advice concerning the tow and they allowed me to keep the vehicle there till I could get it towed . Very helpful!

I appreciate that they were open on a Saturday and were able to fix my truck before the end of the day.

Fixed my LX570 transmission problem

Mixed bag here. My problem with them is that, unlike other mechanics, they did not remove the diagnostic fee when I also had them repair the issue that the diagnostic was for. I know the diagnostic was simple as I pulled it from the car computer before I brought it in. That is ~$150 for plugging in one cheap thing any autozone will do for free and getting the one code. Otherwise I like the place. Nice enough interior that is clean.

Harry s is providing a very professional service within a reasonable price. I really liked their full synthetic oil and filter change + tire rotation pricing. Another thing I liked about them. It s always first come first serve. Some people will say appointment system is better but I found most of the places with appointments will take longer time to give u a particular slot. But here it s always come early and get a slot.

Harrys worked on my cars oil leak in a timely manner, where Midas wouldnt even touch it.

Company giving out false claims saying my vehicle needs repairs and not properly doing them taking money from me basically not doing the work that they said they were doing to my vehicles company got shut down for a week saying that they are giving a company appreciation day and that is not the truth they were busted for stealing and not doing the work they should be doing to customers cars
