I have a 94 BMW 525iT Wagon (E34) that needed some major alignment. I've been here before, but at their old spot, I liked the guy and how he worked, so I headed over to their new spot again. The one (of many) technical issue with E34's is they have a steering gear box, not rack and pinion system--which can make the alignment process a bit tricky (due to steering play)--of course I didn't know any of this until recently when Isrrael pointed out a some play with the wheels that he suspected was caused by the pitman arm and showed me by pointing it out while we both stood under the car. Isrrael was open to refunding me my money after we drove it and noticed it was still drifting to the left, but I asked him if he could let me make another appointment (they take about a week) and fix what I can and come back; which I did today. I spent maybe 20 hr's adjusting everything I could of read about from forums and blogs (and my Bentley Manual); main issue being a loose pitman arm pinch bolt/nut that I got to amongst a few other things. Today we set new specs for the toe adjustment, got the steering wheel straight and lined up and knocked the alignment out of the park. All-in-all it took 3 visits within these last 2 months to finally get the system feeling AMAZING! Probably the best it's ever been in the last decade I've had Thundercat.
