B&J Tires longtime East Oakland family owned and operated spot for new and used tires. Been going here for 30 years since I was in high school and we was acting a fool in them 50's, Irocs with the T-Tops, Regal T-Types, and Grand Nationals. Go see em they'll definitely get you together for a fair price

I've been coming to this tire shop for years after bypass all others closer by. I came in to have a tire looked at, that was low in air. It was suggested that I replace 2 more tires, after coming in last week for a tire that burst due to hitting the curb. Every time a tire is replaced it throws my alignment off, so I decided to get an alignment on top of the 2 new tires. The tech took my keys and moved my car to the rack to prepare for the alignment, he quickly backed off the ramp and told me I needed a control arm for my car. This same shop already replaced one control arm months ago, but he did tell me the other was wearing down too. The tech parked my car in a stall, got out and handed me my key. I immediately noticed that the tip end of my key was gone, instead of jumping to conclusions I hurried up to my car to start it. Just as suspected it wouldn't start, then panic and distress started to kick in. I told the tech, for about 15 minutes he kept turning the key to try and start it. They had me sitting there without solutions, so I called around for emergency locksmiths. I found one, who came but didn't have the right equipment. Said it would be the next day, so they made arrangements with the tire shop to store my vehicle. They also found a ride for me, told me to come back the next day at 11:00am. The next day I took a Lyft there expecting my car to ready, I was told that they tried to contact me but didn't have my number. Said the locksmiths needed more time to make the key and they will call me when it's ready. I went to my car cause I left my big speaker boombox in the car, thinking it would be safe.. It was gone. I went to the office and there it was sitting outside of the office next to the door, so I took it home with me. That time came to come and get my car, that was parked and ready to go. I got in, it started up and I was so relieved. I finished some errands before I turned in for the night, getting out of my car as I was going into my house I glanced to my right and looked at the hood and grill of my car. Now mind you, before I even went to the tire shop to get my tire looked at, I had washed my car before leaving home. With much time spent with my car and many visuals of my cars body, nothing was of concern just my tire that was low. But looking at my car again, someone deliberately beat the hell out of my car. The 3 dents in my hood are irreparable, the scratches are so deep and my grill has been cracked and there is a piece of hose or wire protruding. I can't believe the extent of damage, the only thing I can possibly think of why anyone would do such a thing is out of retaliation for having inconvenienced them with having to pay for something they caused. Why would they allow my car to be damaged so greatly on their watch. I'm devastated that the good business between us has ended under these circumstances, I've always brought my other vehicles there and bought tires. I do understand how things work in this world, you don't get something for nothing and nothing is ever for free. I just finished the loan on this car, and just received the title in the mail. Like WOW, a better time couldn't have been picked. Now I'm forced to add them to my legal matters list. I'm about that life too, in court so much I'm forced to befriend attorneys for the amount of years representing me. I have liked this tire place in the past in Oakland, CA. I was given wrong information about tires not balancing if it is not the same tire name brand. That is untrue. As long as the tires are the same size, the balance is fine. I did not appreciate trying to be charged two hundred dollars for a used tire like the one on my car for the size of my tires. The tires are NOT two hundred dollars and this kind of disrespect and penal code criminal offenses in Alameda County by immigrants and born Americans is an outrage to say the least.

I came there to get my brakes fixed because that’s what he said when he first looked at it. So I brought the brakes and I’m like just change the brakes and he is like I can’t without the rotors. They when I come he say oh you need rotors too. Then after I get the brakes and rotors. I have not driven my car for a week and now today 07/29/2024 now I need a new caliber. It’s some bullshyt with them. They will railroad you to keep you buying parts when you don’t need them. The beginning I asked one of them can they file down the rotor he told me he don’t know what that is. I’m like you a tire place you suppose to be up on knowledge like that. They tell you one price on the phone make sure you get they name because when you go there they will give you another price. The company has many new people and frankly a lot of them don’t know what they doing. Now it’s a few that do know what they doing but I’m just stick with just dealing with them when they come to actually changing a tire and that’s it.

I called 10:22AM and spoke to a rep who just didn't appear as interested in my business once I mentioned if they sell used tires. Continue with the conversation to let him know that it was a 18" inch low profile tire and was instructed to call back with the tire number. 1 Min later i did. called 3 times with no pick up...
