My partner took my car for a routine oil change here a few months ago and everything went fine, everyone was pleasant. Fast forward to me attempting to do an oil change at my friends house, we have all the necessary equipment, the special head tool specifically made for toyota oil filter casings, wrenches of every size, a car jack, the whole nine. My friend is very experienced with cars and I have changed my own oil before, so before anyone jumps to conclusions that we did something wrong or something something women, let's just make extra clear that I have done this before. The plastic housing case for the oil filter had been power-tooled on SO TIGHT that no amount of force could loosen it. We bent wrenches, removed the splash guard under the car for more leverage, wore down 2 of the special head tools with absolutely no progress. Taking the nut off to let the oil drain was enough of a struggle but after 3 men and myself finally managed to loosen it we moved on. The plastic casing became so stripped down that we opted to drill holes into it to pull a metal wrench through to attempt to manually twist it off and that still didnt work, we finally called it when I managed to snap a piece of it off. It was already dark at this point and we had been working at this for a few hours and decided that we would just have the casing taken off by a mechanic the next day. Alas, upon putting the old oil back into the car it immediately leaked out of the bottom. The casing had fully cracked, the car was undriveable. My friend, being a real one, let me borrow his car while he took mine to the mechanic via towing through AAA. The mechanic called me and said QUOTE "yeah, uh, it's really on there, where did you go to?" And I had to say "the last mechanic I went to, I guess" because it hadn't been touched since. The mechanic had to painstakingly CHIP OFF THE CASING PIECE BY PIECE, thankfully without damaging anything expensive. Its cost me and my friends hundreds of dollars. I shouldnt have to say this to professionals but the standard amount of torque for oil filter casings is 30 which is enough to be UNCRANKED BY HAND. Do better. Don't cut corners.

These guys are truly excellent. Honest, hard working, fairly priced. I've been taking my old car here since I moved to oak view and they're the ones I trust the most. Ladies this is a safe space, no haggling here 🙂.

This shop is great! I was behind on maintenance and had engine issues and they were so helpful every step of the process. Orlando was great in following up and recommending services and repairs but I never felt like he was "selling" me on spending more money than I needed. Overall my experience was great and their work was quick and solid. My car runs like new again and their repair pricing was much less than I was expecting!

I've been bringing my car here for a few years now. My car likes to create trouble and most recently the transmission started acting up. I call multiple shops, transmission specialists and even Ford themselves and once they heard which transmission I had they said "we don't fix those" and hung up. Litner, however, fixed it. It took a week and a lot of money, but it drives better than new. Having watched the videos of what needed to be done on it, the time and price makes sense. These guys have always been honest with me and try to find the solution that works best for my budget to get me back on the road when my car decides to become a paperweight. Definitely check them out for any automotive work you may need.

We were on our last day of vacation in Ojai and our car broke down. The tow truck driver recommended Littners to us. I am so grateful that he did. We live in Orange County so it was a drive for us. We had to leave the car there for 2 weeks so they can get the parts in. Thinking it was going to cost outrageous but it was much lower than expected. When we went to pick it up the shop was actually closed for Orlando's wedding weekend but he came in just for us so we can pick it up. Thank you to Orlando and his crew for doing a job well done. Will definately do the 3 hour drive to have the car serviced again. Thank you again and congrats on your wedding.
