I desperately needed a mechanic to check out a car I was buying. At 430 on a Saturday, they made the time for me! I couldnt be more thankful, they were by far, the most pleasant part of the car buying experience. Side note, they also gave me done tips on protecting myself while used car buying. They returned the car to me and while some things were fixed, now every time i open the door the alarm goes off. another headache. This after they called me a few times to pick up the car after I told them id be coming friday. Couldve used that time to fix it maybe?

My catalytic converter was stolen. He came in to accept my car at 5:30 on a Saturday and had the presence of mind to order the necessary parts immediately. I got my car back, fully repaired, extremely quickly. Im very happy with this shop.

One tip: Castro Street is walking distance from here, so it s only a 10 minute walk to a nearby coffee shop.

First, lets set the context. I am a nuclear engineer and former Captain of a nuclear submarine. I grew-up working in my fathers service station. So I have pretty high standards and tons of automotive knowledge. I do most of the work on my cars myself. So when I needed an emergent repair while traveling far away from home (and my own tools), I was obviously anxious about finding a reputable and competent shop. I picked Robert due to plenty of positive reviews, and that he had previously helped my wife with a simple fix gratis while she was down here alone. I couldnt have asked for better anything...customer service, timeliness, technical competence, effective communications, or price. No wonder Robert has been in this location for years in spite of the growth of chain shops, dealerships, and other competitors all around him. He simply beats them hands down! Thanks again!

Robert is wonderful. Honest, diligent, and does fantastic work. He went above and beyond to fix my rusty suspension & exhaust issues even though it took significant labor on his part. My 12-year-old car is running beautifully after his work. He doesn t tack on extra fees and only does what you order. Is definitely understanding of price sensitivity (I m a grad student) and you end up paying a fair price. Also he took plenty of COVID precautions including a steering wheel cover which made me feel safe! I really appreciate this place and would recommend to anyone!

Regular I went to this auto shop,but my last visit it was not acceptable when I check the price online on changing part. It was ac compressor. He change me 250% more than online price. Today conditions COVID-19 he get chance for making money, not a Costomer satisfaction.

Over priced. Charged me $70 and firestone only charges $20. Go to firestone, at least their price is fair and they are not liars.

Shoreline Auto Care has become my trusted expert for Auto Repair! I have had some very frustrating experiences with other shops that were VERY EXPENSIVE and did poor work. I am a DIY type as a previous Journeyman mechanic (from 30 years ago).....and Robert at Shoreline has fixed many mistakes that other shops have inflicted on my cars, from fixing broken bolts, to fixing stripped screws....and all at a reasonable price. I used to do the basics, but now have Robert do it all.....Those large shops do not provide the TLC that Shoreline does!

This is the auto care place youve been looking for. Ive been coming here for about five years and Robert has taken care of me each time. He makes you feel like youre the only customer there, he always works to get you to the best price, and hell always take care of you if something goes wrong after the work is done.

Super good service I wasnt passing smog and this guys did a really good diagnostic that helped me repair my Honda and passed smog last week with the lowest levels of pollution i do recommend this place is cheap then several overpriced prices shops like mountain Views radiator and is a friendly reliable service

Wow, what an experience we had with Shoreline. It was apparent that they had work and that their customers were happy. I was intimidated but what could we do? Our car broke down with enough push to get us to shoreline. Pricey $$ well their customer s car were imports and pricey but Robert and his team really worked with our small budget to get us to our destination and back. He gave us solid advice to work from and God forbid we have to go back but if we did we would find our way back to Shoreline. Anyone traveling on a budget to the north Bay Area either to drop off college kids, road tripping or just traveling that way I would rate Shoreline as excellent.

Check engine light was on so I took my car in and had all the coils replaced. Check engine light came back on shortly after picking it up and so I brought it back again to look into it but was not charged!

A little rough to look at, but a great shop who do thorough reliable work for a sensible price. Great to find a reliable, honest, and affordable auto shop!

While in the Bay, en route to Napa, car wouldnt start. Robert diagnosed car, fixed it (changed battery), before I finished my coffee at Starbucks. Highly recommended and down to earth dude.

Great team of professionals who know their business. Ive taken all of my cars there for different levels of service: brakes, air leak, and replace a broken off mirror. Top notch service and quick turn-around everytime. Heres an example: stopped by on Monday to have Robert look at a broken mirror, ordered it, received on Tuesday, we stopped by and had it installed Tuesday afternoon in 20 minutes.

Robert and his shop maintain/repair cars for me, my family, and friends (5+ cars). The shop has worked on a wide range of cars for me from domestics like Dodge & Chevy, to Honda, Nissan, and BMW. Work has ranged from full engine rebuild, to routine oil changes. The shops ability to often get replacement parts in the same day amazes me, and because of that, work is completed fast and many times Ive been able to pickup my cars on the same day. This shops pricing is some of the best Ive come across in 7-8 years and thats one of the many reasons I will continue to have Robert work on my cars. He is really one of those trusted mechanics you are always told to find and keep, and he never fails to impress me and anyone I send his way. Rob takes care of me! Every time I have an issue with my car, or just need a regular tune-up, Rob is my go-to guy. He is professional, gives out free advice, and my car runs perfectly when I get it out of the shop. I trust him completely with my car. I first took my car to Robert 8 and a half years ago for a smog check, when I had just moved to California... and have been a loyal customer of his ever since! Ive always relied on him and his crew to take care of all other regular maintenance and repairs as well. Robert is helpful, conscientious, extremely knowledgeable and honest about what my car needs (and doesnt need). He does an excellent job, always gets my car finished the same day and treats me like a VIP. Go in for your next car service and see for yourself. :-)

I drove over a screw and my tire ran flat on I-85 N. Changed it for the spare and the guys at Shoreline Auto Care were able to get the original patched up and replaced for me in no time at all, and they were very friendly and helpful. Saved me at least a couple hundred bucks and a lot of waiting -- very much appreciated. Id definitely recommend them for other service issues and will be going back in the future.
