Extremely Disappointed with Bike Therapy – Unauthorized Modifications and Disregard for Long-Term Customers I purchased a Haul LT passenger e-bike from Bike Therapy last year. For context, I’ve invested over $50,000 in Specialized bike purchases over the past decade—clearly demonstrating my loyalty and commitment to the brand. Recently, I brought my Haul LT in for a simple tune-up. Instead, it was returned with a firmware update I never authorized or approved, which downgraded the bike's throttle and pedal assist to a capped speed of 19MPH. This was done without my consent and without any prior notice—a clear violation of consumer trust and rights. Let me be clear: the performance specifications of this bike were a deciding factor in my purchase. During my demo and purchase, the Haul LT was advertised with up to 28MPH pedal assist—ideal for passengers, transporting gear, and the overall riding experience I was promised. By modifying this bike post-sale to comply with new e-bike laws retroactively, Bike Therapy has effectively voided the original purchase agreement. I’m well aware of the evolving legislation intended to address misuse by underage or irresponsible riders. But those laws should not apply retroactively to purchases made in good faith by responsible, licensed adults. I hold an M1 endorsement and ride responsibly—that shouldn't matter! Clearly, my complaint meant nothing to the staff who took it upon themselves to modify my property without consultation. Worse still, the customer service response was dismissive and condescending. When I attempted to raise my concern, I was met with an indifferent attitude, as if my business and decade-long loyalty were irrelevant. Once the sale is made, Bike Therapy seems to regard customer concerns as an inconvenience. Bike Therapy is not a regulatory authority, and has no right to enforce or interpret laws in a way that undermines the rights of paying customers. Their unauthorized actions have rendered my bike nearly worthless, and it now sits as a frustrating reminder of a vendor that prioritizes control over customer experience. A class action lawsuit is now underway, and rightfully so. These practices are deceptive, potentially unlawful, and damaging to both the brand and its customer base. If you value transparency, integrity, and your rights as a consumer—think twice before doing business with Bike Therapy.

Came here looking for a Specialized bike for my daughter and boy was I not disappointed. The staff helped us find the right model and color, arranged for the bike to be shipped and made all the necessary adjustments so that it was personalized for her ride. I can't recommend this place enough. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff that truly care about providing a best-in-class experience for their customers. Thanks again Bike Therapy!

This shop is located in a nook of food and cafes. I use it as a pit stop and source for bike maintenance parts. Once I arrived before it opened and got to see them “parade” their new, variety of bikes out into the sidewalk spaces.. They have quite a selection, ; I noticed the bikes were almost all configured to work well on the variety of terrain in the area from steep hills to wide open road.. many with electric assist. If I were interested in buying a bike, I’d definitely start here.

My favorite local bike shop. The guys are all very knowledgeable and helpful every single time we come in. Paul especially, he’s the bomb! My husband and I have purchased a few bikes from them now and we have been very happy with them. The bike mechanics are great, too. They are always fast on repairs!

I can't say enough about Bike Therapy. They have a great selection of new bikes and a knowledgeable and friendly sales staff. Their service department is second to none. They just finished building a custom set of wheels and I couldn't be happier. If you love to ride, then Bike Therapy is your home. Thank you service department staff!!!

I bought a Specialized Fuse 27.5 from Bike Therapy today and had a great experience all around. Great selection of products, helpful, informative service, did some tweaks to the bike set up right there and then. Great shop with friendly professional staff.
