There are very few places that will provide a service And when its not right take the car back and charge yo No additional moneys to make it right.I strongly recommend Mission Viejo transmission and auto repair for that reason!

I went there for transmission oil change and diagnostics and then a lot of advises later, I agreed for $700 bill for 5 things to get rid of 1. noise when I turn and 2. jerk when the car moves from stop sign. I came home with oil change as promised(hence 2 stars) but the two problems continue. They are capable but not trustworthy.

My Audi Q7 Diesel at 138000 miles started leaking Oil. I brought my car here and they did an EXCELLENT repair job and was really involved! Spent 5k, took approximately 3 weeks due shortages of parts during Covid but I am very happy even after 1 year and now 152000 miles. My Audi drives like brand new after the repair job. Really a 5 Star mechanic shop

I went there after my daughter curbed her car and blew out 2 right tires. I knew the car needed an alignment at least, so I took it there because I had a Groupon. After inspecting the car they told me it needed both sides lower control arms, front struts, outer tie rod ends front sway bar links. There quote was $3000.00. I was immediately suspect. Why would I need left side repairs when the impact was on the right side. I pulled it out. I took it to a shop I had been using for years. They replace the right lower control arm. Total was $300 including another alignment. Also, I has them do a synthetic oil change since I was there. They quoted $89.99. Just out of curiosity I called the dealer. They quoted me the same price. If youre going to be as expensive as the dealer why would I take my car there? At least I have a better chance that the dealer will be honest. If youre thinking about taking your car here think again. Inflated prices and dishonest.

Every time I drive my car, I keep thinking that I need to write a review; so here we go. My car started making a clanging noise, so I decided to take it to Mission Viejo Transmission and Auto Repair. I didn t take the time to check their reviews like I normally do. I chose Mission Viejo Transmission and Auto Repair because I used them in the past for an oil change- big difference I know. Once I dropped off my car, I received a call from the mechanic listing all kinds of things he said were wrong with my car. I should have known right then to get my car out of there. I did not have any other issues with my car other than the clanging noise. It ended up being my axle that was causing the noise. $4,000 later!!! Once I picked up my car, it sounded like a 4-wheel truck- which it s not. The other problem I m having, is that my car sounds like it s in 3rd gear wanting to go into the 4th gear but can t. I couldn t take the loud noise any longer, so I took it back to Mission Viejo Transmission and Auto Repair to get it fixed- especially after spending $4,000. So instead of fixing the problem, they wanted to charge me $700 to fix something that didn t need fixing- come to find out. I would definitely not recommend this place.

I called two days in advance to make a appointment to work on my car I bought it in at eight they kept it all day and didn t call to tell anything about the car I called about four they said couldn t fix as the part they needed is order and I could come pick up my truck and they would call me when the part comes in going on three weeks no call

The second time they ve saved me! I was driving up from San Diego and the trans was slipping. I called at 4:30 when I was 40 min away and asked if they could check it out. Without heisting they said yes. Not only did they find the simple problem and fix it, they checked out the rest of the car for me. After 5pm on a Friday. These guys are the best! Fair and honest!

I have been bringing my vehicles here for service for 10+ years; i have witnessed the steady expansion of services, and their growth. I have always been treated with respect. The Owner Kevin, hosts Girl in The Garage on Hallmark, and he nor his Technicians take advantage of their female clients; they will give you the list of items which should be addressed, and give you a recommended or approximate time line of priorities ... so you can see what you can afford at the time without damaging the next ticket item. They also have loaner vehicles, should you need one. I will always highly recommend Mission Viejo Transmission.

Not what I was expecting the place was Hella small, no waiting room. Kinda awkward vibes but mostly staff tried to be kind to us. They did focus a lil to much on the fine print for their promos which I thought was kinda sneaky also but they still honored my deal and changed my transmission fluid... got a free inspection with a quote for around 6900$ I only paid 3800 for my mitsubishi lancer but thanks it came in handy and now it where to start with my car repairs

Mission Viejo Transmission & Auto Repair has been maintaining my family s vehicles for over 20 years. They are honest and very competent. They are also very accommodating to our needs as customers and willing to do whatever is necessary to make repairs as painless as possible. Equally important, on those very infrequent occasions when something went wrong with an initial repair attempt and required a second try, Kevin and his team did everything they could to make it right. Bottom line: I won t do business with anyone who does not appreciate me as much as I do them. There is a feeling of trust and mutual respect with MV Transmission that is often lacking with other auto repair businesses.

I have been working on jeeps trucks and boats for over 15 years, so Im sure my questions werent offensive. . . . Greg at Socal transmission earned my business with the exact opposite attitude. I recommend going there.

I was a first time customer today at Mission Viejo Transmission and Auto Repair. I came in with an odd request to have a hole drilled in my frame so I could install a hitch onto my car. The woman who answered the phone was kind and directed me to the owner, Kevin. He immediately took action and put my car on the lift to check it out and him and his team got to work immediately, despite being busy. They went out of their way to help me out and drill those holes for me and did it without a charge. Super thankful to have stumbled upon their shop, and when my car inevitably needs repair someday, I know where to go.

Be careful. I had 2 Vehicles they serviced and both almost blew up. They claimed they completed an oil change, never adding oil. Another time they claimed to service my transmission and 12 months later I had to replace it. Be very careful. They don t complete their work.

If you think the price is too high, you re right...run! These guys are terrible how they excessively over charge and lie about parts that need to be repaired or replaced. I do not write reviews, but I think people need to be prepared before dealing with these guys. No integrity, sad.

Had a problem with my engine. Check light came on and car stalled. Took it to Mission Viejo transmission where they assessed that it was not a problem. Told me to come back if it acts up again. No charge. This is fourth visit and always good work at fair prices and honest analysis.

DONT recommend this SCAM place you will be paying more, owner is very rude an unprofessional I went on 7/17/21 for car alignment and was a nightmare my car was barely out of alignment and after they worked on and several hours looks like they made worse , I went back and complain about the issue and owner or whoever manager told me I was the rims or tires problem after 5 minutes the put the car again with a different technician and he told car was still not aligned properly by previous coworker,this to a bad an inexperience mechanic, dont waste your money be aware of this place. I endng paying in other for what they couldnt get done right.

I dont enjoy writing reviews. Less so negative ones. I took my car in for an oil change. As I was driving over the engine light came on. After the oil change was completed I received a call from Brian/Ryan who gave me a engine light code and an explanation. He told me there was no way to diagnose the problem without taking the engine apart. The cost? $545. I asked for the code again and called another repair shop. I was told that the code was related to either the wrong oil or low oil and that an oil change would fix the problem. I picked up the car with the engine light still on. Two days after the oil change was complete the check engine light went off. Negative reviews are meant to help people discover and avoid dishonest businesses. This was not a case of slow service, or bad interpersonal exchanges. This was a dishonest person hoping to make quick money on something that didnt need to be done.

Dishonest shop. I took my vehicle there and spent over $700 and when i took my vehicle back, nothing was changed. Save your money and use a different shop. Bad customer service and dishonest shop.

I had a coupon for 2 uses. First time was no issues as they told me I needed a sway bar (possibly another term for the part) to do the alignment correctly and they didnt think it would work effectively. I came back many months later to now pay for the item to get the car correctly aligned. Working with the longer hair guy with the jewelry was fine and professional. When I believe I talked to the owner (Kevin), he told me all the things I needed and he would put a package deal together for brakes, part to make alignment correct and struts. he told me that my brake pads were near the metal and needs attention. When i told him I just had them replaced maybe 4 months beforehand, he put that more on the back burner and now saying it has a few months before needing replacement! Struts? Took it to my normal mechanic and told me brakes were fine for now, struts had no issues and gave me a place to get the alignment done without the pressure of unneeded parts and labor. The coupon I paid for? Not going back to give them business and I will eat that cost.

These guys live up to the stereotype of the typical shop.

Bought a aftermarket bumper for my car, they gave me estimate it would be 200$ in labor to fix . I agreed right when I got home they called me and told me 700$ lol this place is a joke to charge 700 to install a bumper I already bought

Nice and friendly. I signed the work order for brake fluid exchange $65. While the car was inside the garage, I received a call that the cost would be now $168 and the $65 was an inspection fee that was not disclosed. The work had already been performed before I agreed. Not very professional. When I went to check out, I was told that there is a 4% credit card use fee. I think that should have been disclosed up front before hand, so beware on your big ticket items. Scandalous on their prices, so watch out. Another drawback is there is no waiting room.

Guy tried to scam my mom and told her that her serpentine belt (which is only two months old) is cracked and needs to be replaced for $300. She asked him to show her the cracks and he suddenly told her that it seems ok now and doesnt need to be replaced. Stay far away from this place.

Took my car for wheel alignment, they did a poor job and had to go there 3 times to get it fixed. Rayan told me the guys was not experienced and gave me $25 coupon for the next time. I took my car for inspection and they gave me a very high price, took my car to another mechanic and did job better and cheaper. Now they are mad at me why didn t do it there because I had them to inspect and give me price. Rayan is so rude impolite and unprofessional in business and communication. Good luck with your fake shop!

Called MVT around 8am a very nice female answered my call after I pushed O for operator I asked if I could bring my car in to have the transmission checked, she said sure can you drop it off and leave it for the day. Sure I responded It all went bad the moment I walked into the lobby, I talked with 2 men one older and one younger, it was perhaps the rudest most confrontational conversation I have ever had with a business. Zero communication skills and zero customer service skills. I tried to engage in a productive conversation, but they were not not interested in trying to understand my cars issues and what I wanted them to diagnose. They were so rude and disrespectful that after about 30 seconds of trying to communicate my car problem I had to say never mind and I walked out and left MVT never to return again. The encounter with the 2 men at MVT felt like I was in an episode of twilight zone or candid camera !

I have been using this shop for many years, but recently the quality of their work and diagnosis has gone down hill. They now tend to try to sell services that are not needed, such as an oil change at 50% of the manufacturers recommended interval, and replacement of a leaking pan gasket when there is no leak at all. They have been difficult to communicate with, and do not listen to the actual complaint and purpose for the visit. As a result, I cannot recommend them.

Went to this place after speaking to a gentleman who offered a good price and promised that everything will be done right. Got my tires to balance and mount along with wheel alignment. After waiting for 4 hours got the car and left in a hurry, noticed that alignment is still off and there is a clear coat damage to my rim when they replace the tires. Called up and went back to shop, so called arrogant and rude manager refused to acknowledge the negligence and started threatening. Absolutely unprofessional, I would advise everyone to stay away from this shop in less you want to be disrespected and get damage to your car. They have fake reviews and trying to show a 5 star rating whereas their quality and customer service both sucks.

Called for some advice and they went out of their way to help me, not a lot of shops would waste their time helping someone whos not a customer. Will definitely give them my business when the time comes.

I took my car here because the engine light was on. They did the diagnostic correctly but they waist so much time and take so long to tell you what s going on with your car. Their customer service is horrible and people are rude. I don t recommend this shop at all. Please save your money and time.

I had a 10:00 appt. to have my oil changed. I waited over two hours. My car was up on the lift for a long time and I had to ask why no one was working on it. I wouldnt be writing this review, however, except for what happened at the end. The guys are trying to reset the Maintenance reminder for quite some time. I finally walked over and told them I would do it myself. (Its hard, but Ive done it before.) Also....I had to ask if they put windshield wiper fluid in. They hadnt and went back to do that. I liked this place before, Unfortunately, I wont be going back. Youre rolling now - got any more to add?

Super nice people. They are open on Sunday which was wonderful for us. We had driven over a large piece of plastic on the 5 freeway which wrapped around the drivetrain. We had it towed to them and they worked on it right away. EVERYONE was incredibly friendly and helpful. They fixed the problem promptly and got us back on the road. After my previous review, Kevin (the owner) contacted me almost immediately, and he actually went through the trouble of figuring out what happened and refunding me for my frustration. He did call/text me way too many times, but - in the end, he followed through EXACTLY as he had promised. I would keep my guard up, ladies, and get in touch with Kevin if any problems arise. My previous (1-star) review: WOMEN BEWARE: Go ANYWHERE else!! This shop will lure you in with their events for women and super clean ladies room...before they TOTALLY rip you off. A fairly useless AAA tow truck driver recommended this place. My car had broken down along the road and I was pretty much at his mercy. 1st: I was told that the fuel pump my car needed was factory only (i.e. $$$), and waited days for it to be delivered. I know now: not only IS an after market part available; it would have been $100-250 cheaper. 2nd: They replaced my rear brakes; as I was driving home, I noticed that my brake pedal was working less and less effectively. By the time I got to my neighborhood, I was going no more than 20mph, and still having to stomp the pedal all the way to the floor for it to work. The next morning, I drove/crawled to the local tire shop & asked them to check out the brakes. When MV Transmission had changed my rear brakes, they left air in the brake line. Smart. I had to pay the second shop to fix it ($100). 3rd: They had my car for 48 hours ($$cost of lost business); at NO point during that time did I receive a phone call from them. If I wanted to know anything, I had to call them. 4th: I was venting to a client of mine who lives not far from the shop. When I mentioned the name, she says, No way! and tells me her own horror story. Basically, her car leaked oil after a basic oil change, and they told her its normal/residual from the oil change, itll go away eventually. A second, ethical shop fixed the real problem: MV Transmission had forgotten to put the gasket back on her car. SAVE YOURSELF!!!

I found Mission Viejo Transmission after being referred by a friend. My friend Connie and her daughter are members of the National Charity League in Orange County. The whole group, all 36 of them attended a Girls in the Garage event put on by Mission Viejo Transmission last spring. The shop set up 12 car stations and showed some 200-300 attendees something different at every station. The shop mechanics showed the women and girls how to open the hood of their car, how to check and add oil, how to check tire pressure, what the lights on the dash mean. and all kinds of car related things that were very interesting to say the least. When I heard they did it all for free (and fed everyone also) I couldnt believe it. So I brought my car to them and was equally impressed by not only the friendly crew but how quickly they had my car diagnosed and fixed. It turned out that my check engine light was caused by an unplugged vacuum line that they fixed for free. During my 35 minute stay, I also learned that Channel 5 picked up the Girls in the Garage story as did the Orange County Register, KFI radio and the City of Mission Viejo. Kevin the owner said they do the event twice a year and is open to the public. Seriously, I would recommend them to anyone for any type of car problem.and their Girls in the Garage event to any women especially to young new drivers.

They performed services that were not necessary on my car. As a customer, we are usually clueless about what cars truly need so we trust mechanics for this. In this case, they charged me $440 to replace a part that ended up not being the problem. I took my car to another shop in Tustin and they confirmed that the problem wasnt the part they replaced. They fixed it for $100 and told me to never go back to this place in Mission Viejo. Be wary of this place since they are essentially just like lawyers. Any chance you give them, they will tick it up your a#s. Zero stars.

I had a nail in my tire and went in to get it patched. Ryan fixed in there on the spot within 10 minutes and didn t charge me a dime. Amazing service. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend. Customer for life.

I love this place and the staff. Everyone was knowledgeable, helpful and concerning. I had car trouble with my car not starting when I returned from a long vacation, so I had my car towed here by an AAA representative. After reading the reviews on Yelp, and speaking with their representative, I was assured my car would be handled correctly, efficiently and quickly. I was pleasantly surprised and pleased that everything was handled professionally. I definitely would recommend this place for car needs that they service.

Had my car serviced by these guys and was surprisingly pleased that they found the issues concerning my car when it wouldnt start. After they kept my car a couple of days, my car was up and running great. These guys take pride in their work and have great customer service satisfaction. This was the first time in years I was confident in the work performed by an auto shop, and their ethics to be honest, fair, and reasonable.

What a place .if your not carfull they will take you for a ride.i took my car in for a oil chage..it took ahour and a half to do a oil change and thats not the bad part.when they were done they tell me that my water pump was about to go out and they showed me the link.oh yeah and here comes the best part they said it was going to be 75o dollars to fix it .they even had set up a day for me to bring it in on .well i know something wasnt right beacase it never heated up and i JUST had it flushed and cleaned .they would of said something to me .and to this dayim still drivingwith the same water pump that they said was leaking.so becarefully out there and be awear of whats going on out thet

I took my GMC Yukon here again about couple months ago. This time because my car was stuck in neutral and had a gear shifter linkage cable issue... Was helped by Logan and Ryan with excellent service from drop off to pick up... Javier was the mechanic who did the solid repair work. Generally we are so quick to leave bad reviews, but lag on leaving positive reviews. So I wanted to make sure I circle back and leave review!! Dealer quoted me 2x s the cost of MIssion Viejo Transmission for repair, also another neighborhood mechanic told me it would cost $150 more than MV Transmission. I recommend this place as your neighborhood mechanic.

I am not giving my recommendation in this review, just providing an explanation as to the experience that I had using this shop. Make your own choice based on many reviews, not just mine. I had my car worked on by this shop by the advice of AAA. My car would not start when I had it towed there. They diagnosed the problem and said that I should replace the Spark Plugs and 2 of the Coils. Instead I went ahead and had all the Coils replaced as well as the spark plugs. Picked up the car the next day and it drove fine for one day. The next day, I had the same issue and the car would not start. I had the car towed back to this shop a second time. This time their diagnosis was a mass air flow sensor. So I had them replace that. Then I get another phone call that it still was not fixed and they assume its the fuel rail (or something?) and it needed further diagnosis for an additional fee. I reluctantly paid this fee just to get yet another diagnosis that the fuel pump is now the problem and would now cost me additional thousands to fix beyond the $1600 or so I had already sunk into it for the false diagnosis and replaced parts. Based on the parts already replaced that were not the problem, my confidence that their new diagnosis was correct was very low. I decided to not have them continue and to take my business else where. These are just the facts. I have no personal issue with this shop and cant say that the work they do isnt good. I was not happy with my experience and hope this review could be helpful for others looking for a place to take their car. I understand that working on cars can be difficult. However not everyone can afford to keep replacing parts until the correct part gets replaced. I would have preferred a more thorough diagnosis the first time to determine the actual problem or a disclaimer that they were not sure what the problem was and that they were using assumptions.

Mission Viejo Transmission stands out as a singular business to my wife, kids, mother and I. It feels like a throwback to an imagined better time. We have taken all our cars (Lexus, Honda, Mercedes) to be serviced and repaired by Kevin Hurley and his staff for the last decade. I originally transferred my business to MV Trans on the recommendation of friends due to the rising cost of the dealership repair facilities. As the person responsible for car maintenance for my extended family, I was thrilled to discover that MVT could work on ANYTHING I threw at them for lower prices than competitors. One stop shopping has made my life far less complicated and stressful. More importantly, this business operates at the highest level of integrity. All of my friends who I have recommended to switch have shared stories of how MV Transmission did higher quality work for substantially less than their previous mechanics; furthermore, they can be counted on never doing unnecessary or uneconomical work while keeping safety a priority. This scrupulous honesty starts from the top down. Kevin Hurley is a gem. You will know it when you meet him or google him. His word is gold and he treats customers like beloved family members. One feels like a partner making shared decisions when given available repair options- just the way it should be. We have dealt almost exclusively with Ryan & Charles at the front desk. They are both high IQ, wickedly funny, eerily knowledgable & extremely competent individuals more concerned with safety than sales. Stand in line & you will know what I mean. You will often hear them offering automotive solutions that save the customer money that MVT could have pocketed by doing unneeded work. Any business would love to have these guys because their approach creates lifelong customers & trust rather than a quick buck. Try them & you will agree that Mission Viejo Transmission is exemplary. This seems impossible, but they actually can make car repair fun!

I highly recommend this Team of professionals. My cadillac was having some issues. Mission Viejo Transmission told me even though the car was out of warranty there was a extended warranty for this issue and to take it to the dealer so it would be covered. Excellent service. Car was towed in at 2pm on a Tuesday and They had a diagnostic Completed within an hour and a 1/2 and had me on my way to the dealer. Only place to bring your car for service thanks again everyone I appreciate it greatly!

These people are scam artists. They wrote up a $5k estimate for problems that my 3k car supposedly has. I told them I would be driving it out of state and they strongly advised against doing so. I went to another auto service business that was recommended by a friend and they thoroughly checked my car out from top to bottom and showed me what my vehicle really needed which was an oil change and new shocks, roughly $500 worth of work that I gladly paid and they also did an alignment and washed it before I picked it up. My car drives much better now and I have peace of mind and a warranty on the work. This place (MVT) prays on their customers and tries very hard to be convincing but really it would be in your best interest to take their estimate to a certified mechanic and see what they say. I will never do business here and I wont recommend you do either. Youve been warned.

Went in Sunday morning to see if I could get my fuel filter changed. The guy asked what kind of vehicle told him he said ok he would order it , came back at 2 PM come to find out he didnt order it . This was a simple task hate to see if they had to do some real work!! scary. Sorry you guys lost my business

The service was beyond belief. I went in on a Groupon for an oil change. I own a Saab so the filter had to be delivered. Not only did they keep me occupied while I waited, they brought me a full breakfast! Who does that for a Groupon customer!? Thank you Mission Viejo Transmission and Auto Repair, the oil change and advice were on point, but it was your excellent customer service that will keep me going back.

I went there because I had a Groupon for an oil change which is only about $15. They got me in and out super quick like about 20 minutes. employees and mechanic seemed trustworthy and they also were featured on television for some girls in the garage event they do each year. So based on my little experience I would recommend them

Charles is rude. I waited for over 10 minutes while he was in the office complaining about a customer. When he assisted me he mentioned my voucher did not work due to aftermarket wheels and factory sport suspension. The voucher didnt mention anything about this. He gave me a ridiculous quote to align my vehicle. Im not sure how this place as a lot of great reviews.

Place is a total ripoff. Girlfriend went in for an oil change and tire rotation, that s it. All of a sudden they say she needs rear brakes which I found hard to believe with her low mileage and the fact that without disassembling the drums they wouldn t know if it needed shoes. I was out of town and she allowed them to proceed at a cost of over $300!!! They supposedly replaced the shoes and resurfaced the drums and told her the car was good to go. Car never had any sounds or issues before that day and the brakes have been horrible the last 2 weeks with the brakes grinding and grabbing badly. She went back today and they said that the pads they put in were defective and it messed up the drums. They told her she had to pay for the drums that their defective pads damaged. So they admitted they damaged her brakes that hadn t previously made noise or acted up and it s somehow her problem and she was told to pay another $300. So $600 combined for redoing the shows on a set of rear brakes?!?!? It took them all day to redo the brakes this time. If your a smoking hot blonde, don t take your car here!!! They will take advantage of this and rip you off!!!!

I don t write reviews often, but my experience with these goons was so bad that I simply have to. Firstly all of them (excluding maybe the owner) are quite rude. But don t take my word for it, read through some reviews and you ll see I m not the only one saying it. Now I have dealt with a lot of mechanics over the years and these are BY FAR the MOST dishonest I ve ever had the displeasure of coming across. Not only did they not do the work they charged me for, but upon inspection from a real mechanic it was made evident that they butchered the wires and various bindings in the engine compartment. I m not sure what they did to be honest, but they sure as hell didn t fix my car, and instead of being honest and telling me they can t fix it or don t know how, they simply charged me for the work and lied about it. Please, for your own stress and the health of your car, take your business elsewhere. However if you want to stress yourself out and expose your car to mediocre grumpy mechanics who will put a band-aid on the problem and lie about it...this place is for you!

Wow. That s the word that comes to mind when I try to contemplate how sketchy these guys are. If you need basic work such as brakes/tires/oil then I m sure they are competent enough...however anything more complex and they will try to screw you if they think you are ignorant about cars. On top of that half the people working in the garage look about 18 years old. The experienced guys are all sitting around in the lobby handling customer service (god knows why considering how rude they are). Well those kids don t know how to work on European cars. IF YOU HAVE A EUROPEAN CAR **STAY AWAY** if you have any car stay away, better safe than sorry. They tried to charge me an extraordinary amount of money to fix problems that didn t even exist. I m just thankful I had a friend look at it before paying these crooks.

decent customer service, free loaner program is legit. however, they are extremely overpriced. $750 to do a radiator in my 95 corolla? Get real. These people count on you to not do your homework and just shell out the cash instead. Charles even stumbled with his words when I told him how outrageous the pricing was. Paid much much more than I should have for a tune up that was not referred to as a tune up... dont let Charles quickly rattle off your repairs and make a big deal about how imperative the repairs are so you can hastily approve them. Double check your fluids after you leave this shop, as they do not always check and/or refill. will update once I find out how much they ripped me off for the radiator repair... well, heres the update: no repairs are needed to my car. There is no radiator leak and every thing is pressurized as it should be. There is no evidence of a leak of any kind. A credit to my account is not going to fix this guys. Why would I ever bring my car back to a place that doesnt complete their work? Im never bringing or recommending any vehicle to this so-called auto shop.

went there for brake check and the quote was most expensive. I was told I need both rotors and pads replaced asap. All other places were half the price and none recommended rotor replacement.

You can trust this shop. The guys all do a great job and treat you like they are putting one of their family members on the road. Safety first. Brought in my Toyota to get a quote for brakes issue, received very rude customer service , never heard of a policy where if they break something the customer has to pay for it , I was told that if I did not like it I can take the car back, which I did , because if they break it more then it is I dont want to pay for what they break on top of what is already wrong with it, I cant believe this is how they treat customers!! I used one star because I could not use none.

This has been the ONLY auto shop Ive gone to that didnt try to rip me off. About a year ago I took my car in to check A LOT of issues (I had a feeling the transmission was toast and I was right). They couldve made an easy $5K+ off of me, but instead they let me know that it was still under warranty with my dealer (a mere month from expiring). They are truly a group of hard working, friendly, and honest individuals. Ive referred my entire family since my first experience, my boss, and friends. All have the same experience and all speak highly of this shops integrity. Not to mention their Girls in the Garage event that they host the first Wednesday of every month! LOVE THIS PLACE!! The crew is friendly, efficient, and hard-working. They work quickly, on schedule and keep you posted on the progress that is being made. Two noteworthy items... 1- they have a program that helps teach people about how automobiles work called Girls In the Garage. Kind of like a shop class from school. 2 - they have a disco ball in the garage. How cool is that,? It looks like the mechanics have fun, which means good attitude, which means good work. I own a customized vehicle to handle pre-running for desert racing so it s not your average vehicle. It has a built up rear end, trans, and suspension, roll cage etc. during my last outing we broke an axle. I called around and unfortunately due to being in the peak of off road race season my normal shops couldn t get to it right away. Doing some research I found great reviews for this shop. I shoot them a call, I stated what I had and explained I was under a time crunch so do they feel they could do it and have it back to me in 2 weeks for my next desert trip. He assured me he could and had a guy on staff that specializes in high performance stuff.....Great I was relieved they were local And it s only a broken axle simple repair for any shop. I bring my vehicle in on a trailer and they had no problem with the vehicle and assured me this was not big deal and they would have it taken care of ASAP. Which was a huge relief as I was catching a plane for a business trip that day and I didn t have the time to get it handled. Once again I was assured they would get right on it and I was in good hands. I leave feeling comfortable they run a clean shop have a lot of vehicles in there and give the impression they really know what they are doing...... I was wrong they were not capable of efficiently working on this type of vehicle and I m guessing they got in over their head taking on a job like this. My vehicle sat in the parking lot for over a week without even being looked at. Unfortunately I was out of town so it wasn t like I could go and pick it up and take it elsewhere. they finally let me know they have my truck on the rack and tell me it s $500 to inspect it and they will apply towards the repairs. I agree... more time goes by and I realize we aren t making the trip and I cancel it. They call me with some pricing and I agree to it thinking it s going to be completed right away....... after 6 weeks of wrong parts being ordered and issues resulting in not working on my vehicle, me calling daily and sometimes multiple times a day......they FINALLY get my truck done and at this point I m just happy to have it done and back in my possession. Here s the kicker....they give me a price and I agree to it. Never once tried to grind or question them. I made it very clear what I expected of them in regards to my planned trips and since they said they could meet that deadline I had no issue paying their price...the deadline was over shot by 3x. But it wasn t like I could just come and pick up my unassembled vehicle so I was stuck. After missing every trip I had planned I still paid the amount we agreed upon......I m a man of my word and held up my end of the agreement. I m handed a 2 page receipt that has absolutely NO break down of work done, breakdown of price, parts used NOTHING. The most detail in the entire 2 pages is them releasing themselves of any liability since it s a custom vehicle and stating there is no warranty since the truck is used off road. I never expected them to warranty it. What I did expect was a break down of work done, parts used and pricing considering I paid them $2300. I guess the most insulting part is after all of this there was no effort to make anything right, no apology for the delays, missed trips and screw ups, nothing, they took my money, made sure I signed their waiver and sent me on my way. I wish they would ve just been upfront in regards to their capabilities and ability to meet the timeline I was looking for.

This place is a breath of fresh air in the world of auto shops. From their genuinely friendly, knowledgeable staff, to the owner who will do whatever it takes to make your visit as pain free and enjoyable as possible. This place is AWESOME. My wife and I were here on vacation and our VW Golf suddenly had every issue under the sun, we called this shop and they really went above and beyond for us to get back on the road. Highly recommend. Just a great auto shop in Mission Viejo. This place is huge and they always have 10 to 15 mechanics available. Kevin the owner is a real nice guy and really knows his stuff. The nice thing about this place is that they have loaner cars, they work on ALL cars and trucks and if you need financing, they will do that as well. Oh, yes, they are open even on Sundays! I have never been to a auto shop where you really feel like family. I have seen many people come and go while they were working on my car,everyone that came through the door were returning custumers that have been come here for a long time. They keep you updated on whats going on with your car. They offer to give you a car to rent as well as to pick you up or drop you off if your car will need to stay longer then what they thought. They dont rob you of your money,you really are paying for what you need. Their office staff make use your taken care of while your car is being worked on.They offer you a drink whilr you wait. I wish i could rate them 10 star becauae they deserve it. Im so happy that Ifound them!

Last week while traveling for the holidays our mini van wouldnt start after stopping for some lunch. With 3 kids 3.5, 2.5, & a 4 month old I was freaking out thankfully we had some friends in the area to help us out while my husband stayed with the car. Thinking it was something expensive also had us stressed with the holidays. These guys took AMAZING AMAZING care of us and our car! Thankfully it was just battery replacement but still these guys put us at ease and when my husband picked me and the kids up we noticed a gift card to starbucks and a lotto ticket!!! How thoughtful!!! Its the little things. They also hold a class girls in the garage which I need to take because sadly I dont know how to change a tire amongst the other great things they teach!!!

My first visit was based on a friends recommendation. Kevin was very nice and they handled the rebuild of my transmission overdrive perfectly. The second time was to evacuate and recharge the AC on a different car after I had a failed O-ring. Marc very good took care of the job and the car is blowing cold once again. While in the waiting room I watched how the shop is run and they have a real interest in getting you down the road safely. Everyone has a budget and theyll give you advice based on your budget to fix your car. In my experience its a very honest shop.

We had a great experience with Mission Viejo Transmission and highly recommend them to anyone with a transmission problem. Our tranny fried on the freeway. We have 145,000 miles on the 11 year old Tahoe, so we knew it was going to happen someday. MV Transmission was approved by our towing service, but the driver suggested I consider the free inspection by a national chain. We originally went to the national chain before we read their reviews. Just like the reviews said, the national chain gave us a low estimate for the likely repair but kept an open checkbook for all of the things they could find once they take things apart. The national chain reviews pretty much all said their final price was double the original estimate. Fortunately, I spoke with Kevin at MV Transmission before I let the national chain do any work. Kevin gave me a fair price for the entire job, which included replacing all the things that could possibly need replacing. We knew our out-the-door price before I gave Kevin the keys. We also had our Tahoe back in one day, just as Kevin promised. They did some extra work, too, at no charge that just showed excellent customer service. Fair price, quality work and excellent customer service - that should be everyone s business model. Kevin and his team delivered and we will definitely bring them our old Toyota (160,000 miles) when the time comes.

When it comes to transmission most of us are in the dark and we never know if its going to be a good experience or not. Let me help by saying if you use Mission Viejo Transmission you can put your worries to rest. These guys know their stuff, they are professional in every aspect and they do quality work. Service from this shop is high quality and reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and courteous and always willing to help or answer questions. Turnaround time is standard. I had some brake work done by these guys and something went wrong the next day while I was on a road trip - I brought it back to them and they fixed it up completely free of charge, and even gave me a $50 off coupon for any future service. They stand behind their work and I couldnt ask for anything more from a garage.

He always tells me, in order of priority, what needs to be done, what is urgent and not urgent, and what to check for in the future. I came here to get a leaking transmission fixed. It turned out to be a leaky speedometer cable and cost very little to fix. The leak is gone and had been for a few weeks with no concerns. My driveway is safe to park in again!
