This is the BEST place to buy tires, great prices and the BEST customer service in town!! A HUGE thanks to Tony, Kevin and Alex, seriously hands down the BEST!

Set my appointment online and ordered online they promptly confirmed my appointment. Upon arrival wait time wasnt bad at all over all spent 40 mins there or so. Fast service definitely will return.

I bought 4 tires for my truck 6 years ago. Today, I had a flat on one tire and the tech noticed a severe gouge on a second tire. Bottom line I needed 2 tires. The road hazard warranty kicked in, and my two tires were less than $40. Very happy.

I got there and was put in line for my tires to be rotated at 11:15am. I noticed my car wasnt done at 1pm. I asked how much longer and they completely forgot about my car. Then they tell me that l need all wheel nuts replaced at 2:30pm. I finally get me car back and the tire tech walks up to me lets me know that my center caps to my wheels were broken (after he admitted breaking them) and took no blame for that afterwards. He told me that their not going to do anything about it or do anything to help replace them. I went to the dealer and each center cap is $62. This is the second time in a row Ive been to this location and theyve broken something on my vehicle and told me they werent the blame for it. They need ti fire that tire technician. I have a 2007 Toyota Camry. This happened on 11/1/24.

Update 9/24 Needed all four wheels re balanced due to the San Andreas cracks in all the local roads !!!! Kevin was outstanding, even checked my spare tire inflation , car came out running smoooooth again . July 10,2021. Made an appointment for tire rotation . On schedule as usual , they rotated my 20s according to factory specs, noticed they were out of balance, and rebalanced them no charge along with the rotation. They use coated sockets for chrome lugs and wheels like mine , so no scratches ! Though its not required or asked , I tipped both service tech $10 each for the quality of their work and for the top notch service . It doesn t get any better than that folks . Go see em . 5/16/20. It s been awhile since these transactions occurred , but I wanted to give credit where it is due . Purchased a replacement tire for my son , got a great price and their customer service is top notch . Later , I used their free tire rotation offered on my truck , got great service from the customer service rep , and the guys in the shop were fast and did a great job . No scratches on my chrome wheels and lugs , and the tires were rotated the way I wanted them , so I gave them both a tip since the rotation is free . Give them a shot !

Excellent Service.

I love Americas Tire. One thing they could improve is the waiting when you have an appointment for balance a rotation. I always seem to get stuck behind people that dont have computer and need to shop for tires at the register. It would be nice if there was an express check in when you have an appointment.

First time customer & I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Customer service is great, Kevin was extremely helpful. Place is pretty busy a lot of the time with customers & I definitely understand why. Totally worth the wait.

I got a flat. Needed to replace it asap. Went here as soon as they were about to close, they still took me in, replaced my 2 front tires. Later on I went home and I noticed that they did a shit job, they basically used a hand gun to tighten up the bolts, and stripped them. And couldn t get them off, instead of them hand tightening them they used the gun and made the problem worse. My lug couldn t come off and it ended up breaking. So make sure you watch them closely while they work on your car. Cause they won t tell you what mistake they do on your car. So disappointing.

I always get my tires from here but I was really dissappointed in this place. I got a flat and bought new tires from them. 5 days later one new tire was almost flat. I took it back in and they found a thin Crack in the rim. I couldnt afford a new rim at the moment so I would air it up every few days. Sometimes it was low and I couldnt even tell. One time I went there and my air was at 11psi. They can override the machine if its under 15 psi but this one time the bald guy with glasses refused to do it. I explained I knew the rim has a small crack but I couldnt afford to buy a new rim and if he could Please help since it was so low I was scared to drive on it. This guy flat refused and let me leave with only 11psi. I went to the closest gas station but that man was Very rude and Ive been going there for years. Was it that much to put some air in my tire to at least let me leave safe? That guy ruined my image of americas tire. I wont forget that.

I ended up with a razor blade in my tire. I got to the shop at 6:02 PM on Friday and the closed at 6:00. They unlocked their doors and helped me out anyway. They were super kind and helpful!

This is my second visit with my second vehicle and I am more than satisfied , Eric was very professional and helped me with Great service , Kristen was very helpful and knowledgeable , clean lobby , professional staff I will say. The men outside in the shop did a great job and always do a great job when I stop by for service. Will definitely come back for my next set of tires ! Update 07/10/24 came in today to purchase another tire , was greeted by Eric and his staff, Eric helped me out again with hands down great service , always my go to spot !

Bad customer service

There was a long wait, but I was a walk in. They lost my hubcap but they did replace it a week later. Very professional, friendly, and kind people working there!

service and customer service good but time frame to get it done ridiculous almost 3 hrs to get one tire coming from working in the same field as the techs I know long it should take a tire service to be completed didn t even move the car till I mentioned it has passed the service completion time ridiculous!

Ive been purchasing tires from here the past several years and had no issues until the last two visits. Two visits back when I went to order tires for my Tacoma they didnt have them in stock so they had to order them. The sales guy comes back and keeps pushing me to buy new rims because if I buy these new rims they have the tires in stock and I wont have to wait the two days for the ones they order to come in. It took several no answers to finally just get the guy to order the tires that I wanted. I was a little irritated that I was getting pushed to buy new rims for a truck that was a year old so that I didnt have to wait two days for tires but I just brushed it under the rug. Since that was my only negative interaction there I purchased tires for my wifes suburban last year and also got the warranty. On 6-7-24 my wife my wife notices one of the tires has a slow leak so I have her bring it down to have them check it out. She drops it off between 12 and 1 and then receives a phone call with in 30 minutes explaining that they found some problems but she advises them to call me to see what I want to do. The sales guy calls me at 1:14 and explains that they had to use a hammer to get the socket on the lug nuts so that they went ahead and changed all the lug nuts for me but they saved the old ones in case I wanted them to put them back on. I asked him what was wrong with the tire and then he says they havent looked at it yet there are two cars ahead of mine. Im a little confused by this but decide to just go down there after work and have a face to face conversation. When I arrive after work I ask the employee if they usually just change all the lug nuts are cars in the parking lot before they bring them in the shop to work on them and he said no. Then when I asked him if after someone drops a car off do they normally send someone out with a socket and hammer to check out the lug nuts and he also said no. Finally I asked how they knew the lug nuts needed to be changed 10 minutes after my wife dropped the car off. After not getting any answers he said that I must have miss understood the person that told me that all the lug nuts were already changed because the socket wouldnt fit without a hammer and that they saved the old ones just in case all while the car was still in the parking lot. I realize these guys are salesmen but to blatantly lie to someone to try and make an extra $100 isnt a real good business model. I can only imagine how much things they are selling to people that they dont even need. They come in cheaper for tires than most places in Merced but I guess they are able to do that because they are going to sell you something for a couple $100 every time you bring the vehicle back for something. To top it off when Im going through all this with the cashier the customer at the next register over was getting told his lug nuts were bad also. What a coincidence. Hopefully they actually looked at his vehicle before selling them to him. My advice, go somewhere you can trust and pay a little more for the tires.

Assistant manager Jose, and Manager Kevin worked together...saved me over $300 on 5 New Tires, and of course, I bought the Great Warranty! Completely confident w my recommendation!!!! Yes, levels of confidence!!

You would think that these guys know how to put air in the tire. The guy literally asked me what connection he should use to put air in the valve stem. I would be very very, very cautious on having the mountain balance anything to your car the bald guy, especially is probably the most uneducated Person in that building for using light words and not being offensive I am very very very, very concerned for anyone who has had worked under their car recently at this establishment. You should really have the work double check and make sure that your life isn t teetering on the stupidity of one of these people in this building.

The service quality is good, but the waiting time is very long. It would be better if the staff could put a cushion on the seat when driving.

Americas tires website should change its availability to schedule a tire and wheel install within the appropriate time such wheels and tires are delivered to the store. The store does need to work on minor details, yet what store doesnt. With that being said, Kevin,the manager, has provided me with great customer service. Upfront genuine guy who is doing his best to provide the best service he can. I really appreciate his patience and understanding. Skyler was a very polite, professional and patient clerk. Others on the other hand should probably work on how they portray themselves, the smirking and little chatter on side was somewhat unprofessional but being young men I understand they will act accordingly. Overall I will be happy to use their services and will be the main store I will use from now on.

Ive purchased my tires at an American Tires and have used many different locations to check my tires in the past to check customer service and see if I would recommend granny to come by. At this location a tattoed fool with a 24 on his neck refuse my service because I did not want to give him my vin It has never been an issue at any other location

The company I work for has 6 vans and we take them here for all our tires . The wait time is just crazy . I waited from 11 am till 130 when a co worker picked me up we got to my house when an email from Americas tires with an invoice with the charges so I went back and not only had they not even moved my van in to there bay but they had no clue that they were even suppose to work on my van . But yet someone took the time to charge me ! Let s get it together Americas tires in Merced ,ca . I mean I get it you get busy and everyone needs it done now but don t take on so much that your forgetting who s there and for what !

What to say about Americas Tire. Good customer service. Complete tire inspection. Got two new tires for 425. A bit pricy but the going rate for tires. Took about 2 and a half hours from walking in the door to getting the car back. Not too bad.

Great place and great prices! Super helpful and no high pressure up sells. Ill be buying all my tires from these fine folks. They discovered that my factory wheel locks were not the correct ones and replaced them with regular lug nuts free of charge. Really quick too depending on how busy they were. There was one person in front of me and they were finished with me in 45 minutes.

They said wait time to check my tire was 45 minutes, took almost 2 hours.

Great service, I think you should have a canopy or something for the mechanics. They check the tire pressure. It s getting hot out there I m just saying.

Arrived for appointment and they had a spot reserved for me when I pulled up for new tires. Very friendly staff members and a wide selection of quality brand tires.

Brandon, Joeseph and the rest of the team did an excellent job. I ordered tires off TireRack .com. They were delivered straight to the Merced Store, and my wife set a 8:45AM. It was nothing but great customer service from the second I walked through the door until the time I drove away. Very efficient running outfit. I got there a few minutes late, which they did not mention. I got the at 8:48 and was driving away before 9:20. They are that fast, without cutting corners, or without making you feel rushed out the door. I found my new tire shop. Great job guys!

This appears to be the Merced store where they installed a loaner tire to get me to my local store in Chico. Either way, the service I received at both stores was Off The Hook... With regard to Wheels and Tires, I trust no one else.

I used the online option to purchase and set up appointment for my wifes car. It was simple all my wife had to do was show up show her ID and she was in and out quickly. Good job Americas tire thank you this will definitely be our go to spot for tires.

Liked this tire store, but when I took my car to toyotec they asked me if I rotated my tires I said no I just got new tires from Americas Tire and Toyotec said two of my studs were cross threaded, can they add a diy space so the techs dont screw your car up.

Very slow, wait time was 2+ hours and my husband was only getting 1 tire replaced. Correction! He was told an hour at most, but still had to wait until almost closing time, 2+hours

Didnt honor warranty for a young mother with kids. Claimed that her alignment was off. Tires lasted less than 2yrs.

Buy and make your appointment online. I was in and out in about an hour even though they were busy.

Had something in my tire. My tire was flat at work. Guys at work aired up my tire around noon. After work drove to Americas Tire in Merced. They were pretty busy. Told me it would take 1:40 minutes to get it checked out and fixed if possible. They did a wonderful job on the tire, and it did take quite a long time. I am happy with the results. Best part is that they dont charge for a quick or sometimes not so quick repair.

im from out of town but came in to get the air on my tires checked, one tire was real low the technician told me I had a nail in it then they told me they wiuld fix it for free but my wait time was 1 hour 45 min, been here 2 and a halh hours and still nothing so if your getting something done free here dont do it soecially if ykur from out of town, I told them I would pay but they still insisted it was free and I understand that paying people have first dibs but dont lie to me...

Customer service was very knowledgeable and cool, but they need a sign that says Appointment Only Or Wait Could be Hours. A 3 hour wait time is ridiculous and then the online portal says no appointments available for the next month or 3. Obviously, it is a very good store, so everyone goes here, but entering as a new customer is either going to be a long painful journey or nonexistent at all

The Merced store is always so amazing! From their customer service to the work they do on our vehicles! Very professional, I appreciate the way they make eye contact when speaking to you and say your name when addressing you. I will continue to do business here. As a woman I dont feel like Im going to get ripped off if I come in without my husband. Their honesty goes a long way.

Super nice staff, clean shop. Got my vehicle towed in, they repaired it and got me going FOR FREE. Like 0.00. They check air pressure and offer air for free as well but the lines get long. Will be shopping with them in the future just based on the great experience. One guy even came out and talked with me about tire options (lord know Merced streets murder tires)

I quite like Americas Tire here in Merced, above all, their staff is extremely friendly and relatively quick when it comes to getting through a line of people. They really deserve 5 stars, but they are missing a crucial service as a tire shop. They do not do alignments. It makes no sense to have a tire shop that doesnt do alignments in my opinion, some other policies they have a bit annoying but other than that, its a great place to get your cars tires done.

Great place to get tires. They will match any verifiable internet price. Plus you get their excellent service. (Free air fill ups, free rotations, road hazard warranty, etc) The road hazard warranties are quite inexpensive. Plus these guys dont fix the tire. If you get a puncture, they just replace the tire. No, pro-rated, mileage discount etc, etc. They just give you a brand new tire. Or all four, if needed. I wont buy tires anywhere else.

As a self proclaimed frugal person, I always go out of my way to save, and that means avoiding large tire chain shops like Americas Tire. This time around, however, I gave a Americas Tire a shot and theyve convinced me a chain shop like theirs might be the way to go from now on. In fact, I ended up spending less than if I went to a so-called cheaper place (my total was $88 out the door for 4 tires installed (plus balancing and etc.) I also learned flat repairs and tire rotations come free, too (even if you didnt buy/install tires from them iirc.) If you ever rotated your own tires, you know how tempting taking them up on that offer is. All the staff were polite, knowledgeable, and timely with their service. Granted, you might wait slightly longer compared to a Mom and Pop place but you get a nice waiting area with WiFi, clean bathrooms, and a nearby grocery if youre hungry. Dont hesitate going to this store, theyll treat you well.

Great services low prices!

We have taken our car here 3 times to get a leak fixed, every diagnosis they said they fixed it, and it was the valve stem. At first it would take a week to loose 5 psi, now it leaks down to 0 in a hour. I took it to another shop (Les Schwab) and they diagnosed it as a cracked rim, but tough luck now we don t have a car to drive do to americas tire multiple failures.

Came in to look at rims and left with a new set, it was super easy to swap over my tires and avoid buying new ones. I am more than happy, thank you guys

I highly don t recommend this store to buy tires! My husband bought tires from here and had a warranty. He spoke to someone on the phone and they looked up the make and model of his car and gave him an estimate for a trade for his tires which didn t cost much. Then we drove out to Merced today and someone told him that he would be paying $700 for the new tires! Also said they couldn t honor his warranty he purchased there because his previous tires were discontinued and they don t sell them anymore like whose fault is that? They can t even trade in for a different set of tires under the warranty? Don t let them con you into buying a warranty! They will not always honor it!

They always get me in and out fast. Fix nails & screws in my tires at no charge. Never try to up sell or b.s. me. I never go anywhere else!

The truth is that for me it was a very bad experience. I spent more than 1 hour waiting in line and when I knew they were going to help me, I asked for service in Spanish to ask for the quote and they only have one person who is bilingual. It is a shame that there is only one person, yes, I cant walk that I must speak English, if I speak little thank God but for better understanding I ask for an interpreter, like this one, for example, it was my first time in this place and it may be the last, postscript. I went to this place because my brother recommended it to me. Who lives in the state of Carolina USA.

The employees here (front desk/sales staff) are more rude and less professional than other Americas Tire stores. Their attitudes are discouraging, unwelcoming, and repugnant. They would look for any excuse to not giving you a free tire rotation, according to the terms and conditions stated in the invoice when you purchase a set of tires from Americas Tire. Theyd make you wait unnecessarily for services if they dont like you. Many of staff at the front desk act as if they hate their jobs and take it out on the customers. Is this a Merced thing?

The first time was a good experience. The last time I went in for a tire rotation they failed to put on one of my locks in. They told me my car was ready and i saw him struggling to put the hubcap on. As they drove the car towards us (me and the other employee) we watched the hub cap roll off the tire. It broke in there hands, I drove in with the hubcap on. There solution was to take the other hubcap off the only one I have left so they can match. Its a $200 hubcap. I also noticed the changed some of the lugnuts because of my hubcaps I need small lugnuts but since I didnt have 2 hubcaps now I cant put them on because the lugnuts they put are too big.

Great friendly service. Kevin hooked me up with a great deal. I intended on buying 2 tires but couldnt pass up the deal on the other 2 tires, so I left with 4 great tires that fit my budget. Thank you guys!

Purchased tires for the 1st time from here about a year ago. Recently got a email saying my tires were due for rotation. I called, got in that afternoon. All free of charge. The customer service is top notch. Comfy waiting room and everyone goes above and beyond.

Best tire shop I have ever been to. Everyone is always so nice and helpful. And when they say your tires are guaranteed, they mean it. Every time I come in with anything wrong they pull it into the shop and fix it without asking for a penny. This shop is the best American tire, because it s a little more friendly and the music is really calm and sweet. Play also have someone outside that s always checking everybody s tire pressures and filling their tires for free. Their prices are the best in my experience highly recommended!!!

Not good. Took my flat there to be fixed. The counter guy went out and looked at my tire. He came back in and told me I had 100% coverage however they no longer carried that tire but I coukd buy a new tire for $179. I SAID NO THANK YOU. TOOK MY FLAT SOMWHERE ELSE AND IT WAS FIXABLE. BOO O. YOU AMERICAN TIRE!

They were helpful with buying new tires in my price range. And was pretty Honest on what tires would work best for someone who drives the freeway all the time. Edit: one of the best places to buy tires. Went in today to see why my tires keep going down. They fixed the problem and if They couldnt fix it because theyre going to replace it for free that day.

Everyone there does great work. The place is always clean including the bathrooms and they stay after 6 if need be to get you back on the road

Knowledgeable people about tires

I had a simple flat. They said they could not fix it because it was a plug from a previous repair that was leaking. They wanted to sell me 2 new tires for 540 $ plus service. They never mentioned a HOT PATCH. I bought a can of Fix-A-Flat for 8 $. This was a month ago. The tire still holds the 44 PSI charge. No reinflation. F150 tires are rated for a maximum load at 44 PSI.

Won t go anywhere else for our tires bought 2 tires from here and 2 from another tire company about 3 months later got 2 flats called other tire company told me I had to buy a new one americas tire fixed the flat at no cost ended up buying the other one from here because of the no hassle no questions just fast service now my daughter needs tires for her car and this is where we re going to get them

It was 5:30 they still took me not only did they fix my tire with a nail in it they rotated my tires and checked out my other 3. They are Great. Really appreciated how fast they got me serviced my car.

Large tire company with a small town feeling. Had the privilege of being served by Reggie, however all staff were very professional and helpful. They went out of their way to listen to customers and help find the best deals. Would absolutely recommend to anyone that needs new tires or a repair.

We love Americas Tire! We were on a road trip when we got a low tire pressure warning. We found this AT store and the young man who checked and filled our tires was very polite and professional. This, in a time when any interruption in ones routine seems to be an imposition, was a refreshing and welcome experience.

I do like Americas Tire (Discount Tire) but it makes it hard to go back when no employee cares to pay attention or ask if you need help when youre standing patiently for 10 minutes as 8 of them walk pass you and dont look at you at all or ask if you need anything. Merced location has gone down unlike other locations. And when a lady drives up, an employee immediately goes to her and she asks the same question I had patiently waited to ask. The employee sees me and walks away. No one apologized to me, not even the one who helped the lady right in my face. Even after calling out to him telling him Ive been standing in the same spot trying to catch someones attention when they were less busy looking, he didnt apologize or offer to help me first, instead helped the lady after me. After calling their phone to speak to the manager, found out he was among the ones who ignored me. Finally apologized, but only because I was already upset about their customer service.

We bought new tires at a garage in SF and one of them blew out within days of getting them. We were out of town and America s tires helped us take care of us in a timely and friendly manner. Brandon helped us through everything with a smile (through the mask of course) despite how annoying our situation was. 10/10 would recommend this place!!!

Before I go to Chukchansi, I always stop by at Americas Tire in Merced on Olive Street, they have good service with good people working there. I go there every Tuesday noon to check my tires, free of charge. I that place.

The guys here are very helpful and answer all of your questions. Show day I got a recheck of some work they did and found the additional problem fixed it and I was in my way before noon!

One of the reasons I have made this chain my choice is because they tend to be in most places you travel to or by and if you have tire coverage you could always be taken care of at another location. This location does particularly well when you make an appointment ahead of time. In and out much faster. Arrive 15 min early is my recommendation to avoid any delay. Although some prices are not cheap, their staff typically always knows their product well. Describe the type of tire youd like and your expectations, their staff will be able to better recommend the right fit for your likes, wants and needs. The only downside is when it gets busy there is limited seating.
