Emma is the best motorcycle mechanic on the Peninsula. She is extremely knowledgeable and despite providing extreme customer service, her rates remain very reasonable. If you find yourself in need of a motorcycle mechanic, I highly recommend you give Emma a call.

Emma is a 5 star across the board there is no issue she cannot resolve, I recommend anyone that has a basic to complicated issue with there bike, there is nothing she cannot solve, her service is worth the drive if your out of town and dont go to the other guys they either dont know what theyre doing or they tell you your issue sounds to time consuming. I found that Mottown taylors more towards certain bikes and not to 1985 dirtbikes as the owner let us know after we let them know that we bought a 1985 250 kawasaki by phone . I also found that in the owner there was a great fear that the bike might hurt the rider and that they would be sued because it is a 250 kawasaki that has hurt and killed people they affirmed. Im sure my Ninja 1000 also beats the 250 in kills ha ha. I like to carry biz Insuramce so I can do my trade as advertised. Bike mechanics fix bikes for clients not offer life advice. Everything they said about the bike was negative when I let them know and showed a video of it starting in first kick and bump started it and wheeled in third gear i was confused . In a thirty minute conversation there was nothing good they could see in the bike ha ha ha! I could probably cross the Patagonia with it and I might just do that to prove a 1985 bike can still deliver a good ride into the outback . One can kill oneself on a 50cc scooter or a bicycle a skateboard or surfing 15 ft Asilomar too and we do that all.. mototown Person has helped a friend with their bike and they recommended it. Owner seem to be very knowledgeable but does make exceptions on bikes and also asumes all kids are unable to ride certain bikes and prefers to not fix bike even if I would pay a fee they assumed was to steep for us. Ok ill have to pull out my wrench and go to MyTown then

I had work down a year or so ago, but am reviewing now since someone left Emma a two star review l, I have a TW 200 and Emma has been nothing but professional and fantastic. There s no one else in the area I d have work on my bikes (this is my 4th and motorcycle but first dual sport) if she says a bike is unsafe to ride then you should probably listen to her and not leave a bad review.

My bike rides so much better after Emma worked on it! I damaged my front wheel and took it in for repair. She was very forward about going the safest route, which was to replace the wheel instead of repairing it, and I appreciate that. Since it is a used bike, and the first time I brought it into a shop, I had her give it a once-over. She noticed some play in the forks and snugged that up. The bike handles so much nicer now! And, I didnt know if its the placebo effect or not, but I feel like she tweaked some other stuff too, because it just feels like it runs smoother than it did before. In any case Im very happy with my experience, and would recommend her shop.

Emma and Moto Town in Marina, CA are the absolute BEST for any type of motorcycle repair. She was able to do an emergency clutch swap for my BMW and got it done in two days. Wowza. Shop rates are very fair and her knowledge of all things motorcycle related are second to none. Emma gives each customer the time they need to thoroughly explain the diagnosis and offer options for repairs. I m glad Moto Town is here for us.

I took my new bike in for the 600 mile service. Emma is a wonderful person who clearly cares about motorcycles and their riders. I took the bike for a test ride after the work was done and I didnt even know it was possible for a bike to feel that good! I feel lucky to have such a great, local shop nearby.

I recently called for a first check up on my rebel 500 around the 600 mile mark . I was pleasantly surprised by the amicable voice on the other end. Emma quickly answered and we established a quick rapport. My motorcycle and I were seen the very next day! Never have I felt so assured that my bike was in good hands. Emma was amazing ! On the ride from Eureka to Salinas my bike developed a wicked misfire, as Emma called it. I am so glad to have found her. She was familiar with my bike, an 2008 fz1, got me in the next day, and by 3pm my bike was good as new with new plugs and a coil (she installed a used one from a gixer). And she tightened up the steering head bearing while she was at it. Above and beyond service, knowledge and personable, too. All at a very fair price. Its clear she works on anything, every kind of bike was represented in her shop. I found my new mechanic, and yes, I live 8 hours away.

After years of receiving mediocre service at a local repair shop for our two Piaggio Motor Scooters, we were suddenly faced with no available repair shops in the area that would service our motor scooters when the last one in town shut down recently. But in the end, it all worked out when we discovered MOTO Town Repair Shop in Marina. We contacted Emma, the owner, and she indicated she was able to service our motor scooters. We dropped them off at MOTO Town after experiencing multiple issues over the past year with the old service company. We had totally lost confidence after experiencing issue after issue for the past 12 months. Four days later we picked them up (Emma was able to get the needed parts from Italy in 3 days it took our old service company 6 months to get needed parts) and they run beautifully. Emma went over in detail what she had done in an understandable manner and told us to take them out for a test before we paid her. She said she wouldn t accept payment unless we were totally satisfied. You sure don t see that kind of service anymore. We are so relieved that we now have a competent local service repair shop for our Piaggios. She also works on various different motorcycles as well. It was so refreshing being able to confidently drive our motor scooters all over town after picking them up. Thank you, thank you, thank you Emma! You rock!

Emma worked on my SV650 and did an amazing job. Very reasonably priced , definitely will be back if I have any other issues.

I m a relatively new rider and took my bike to Emma for a safety check and some overdue maintenance. She was amazing - took the time to explain things to me and showed me how to do a few things myself. Helped me work out what repairs were urgent and what could be put off a bit longer. I recently took my bike in to have the front fork seals replaced and it came back no longer leaking oil from the engine - like magic.

Great experience; Emma knows her stuff! I took my fun little Yamaha XT250 dual-sport in after a few years of deferred maintenance and 20,000 miles of roads and trails and creeks and more. The bike seemed to want to jump out of first and second, especially on steep hills. And hard to get into first and second. I figured it was the transmission, probably a big bill. Emma kept it, rode it and then thought different. It wasnt the gear box she figured, but the symptoms lots of things going on, deferred maintenance things. The chain was stiff, the sprockets worn. So the chain jumped the sprocket in high-torque first and second. Then, the clutch badly in need of adjustment didnt allow the gear shift. And many more little things. Well, Emma applied proper engineering methods and arrived at the correct conclusion. And now the little Yamaha rides and shifts like its nothing, like it was new again. Great job!

By far, it is the best experience in getting any vehicle worked on. Emma is a very knowledgeable professional who treats every bike like it were her own. I needed new tires, and she provided a great deal and answered any and all questions I had. She also said she would have the bike for an hour while replacing them, and she was right on the money. Great service, she took the time to enhance with me and let me know what I needed work on. She gave me options for my tires that needed replacing. I am coming back in about 2 months for my front tire changed and a new chain for my Honda CBR. She also had reasonable hourly rate and only charged me the time that she worked on my bike

Best motorcycle shop in Monterey! Emma is reliable, knowledgeable and doesnt believe in spending money for no reason. She will also ALWAYS recommend the right parts for your particular personal use type. I bring her my personal and race bike. I have raced in MotoGP/TTXGP, AHRMA, Bonneville, MotoWest GP and other race circuits so I am a bit picky on who I let touch my bike. There is a detail shop onsite and Emma works on electric bikes like Energicas!

Definitely the best shop in the area! Emma was incredibly responsive and the price was totally reasonable. I needed some help getting a fork cap removed and she fit me in same-day and even gave me a tuitorial so I can tackle that task in the future without nearly destroying the cap. Emma is an excellent and honest moto mechanic, and an all around wonderful human. She has and will work on pretty much any bike. She ll be totally transparent about the job and cost and will take great care of your dear motorcycle. I was in and out in about 45 minutes. Cool bikes to look at while you wait, or sit down and chat a bit while work is done in front of you.
