The Happy Dragon is a small thrift shop that has served the community since 1968. All proceeds go to Pacific Clinics, a comprehensive, innovative mental health non-profit serving children and their families throughout California. Funds raised at Happy Dragon are solely used for programs in Santa Clara County. We rely on volunteers and donations.
Haven’t been here in years…but it is definitely thrifting at your finest and for a cause.
I donate there a lot! Love the store find great things. Love it 😀
What a wonderful little shop! Prices are so fair when other secondhand places are ripping people off left and right (especially living in Santa Cruz). I went to savers today and a pair of Shien jeans was $12! Happy Dragon is clean and well organized. Great selection, friendly people - I will definitely be coming here instead a lot of my other regulars! Thank you for keeping thrifting exactly as it should be.
Lovely collection! Erna and Debbie provided great service. :)
Store manager and I had a rough start, it was probably my fault. This place has grown on me though and slowly become one of my favorite local stores. Over the last couple years I've seen many local thrifts rise in price while the Dragon has remained steady. I've seen the manager and other employees at this store help out less fortunate thrifters a couple times as well. After shopping here for over a year and a half, I have to admit this is one of the better stores in San Jose.
Love stopping here when I can, some prices are good, some are really high. One super con is they mark directly on items with permanent market. Annoying to get off, sometimes it doesn’t come off and for real writing onto wood with marker? 2 thumbs down for permanent market. I do love the staff, they are also so helpful and bright.
This one of my favorite thrift shops in the Bay Area! March 24, 2021, yesterday, they were open from 10-1. They had someone at the door checking people in. Only 20 in at one time. It is located in Los Gatos—a high end place. The thrift store is not very large, but it is filled with lots of amazing treasures. This ia one of the two thrift shops in town. What do you think women in town do with their designer clothes when they are tired of them? There are shoes and hand bags locked in glass cases And nice ladies will open them for you so you can have closer look. If you are on a close budget—they have blouses for $4. Up high on the wall there are designer jackets that don't look worn. There is a rack of Vintage Clothing, and one of Maternity clothing. There is clothing for children and men, but it seems to me that it is mostly women that will score there. Today, they had a display of dolls that were marked 1/2 off. Need glasses or dishes? They have them. They also have knick knacks and jewelery. If you like reading books—they have a lot, but I didn't have time to check them out. Last but not least, they have dragons!!! I think you might find one that would make a child happy or the child within jolly! A great place to shop for yourself or someone special. I am sorry that I didn't have more time to shop there. Oh, well, another day…
My childhood years were spent here on Saturday mornings... I usually found cheap cool toys, clothing, and my favorite books that my family could afford. Now I am an hour and a half away and I do make the drive if Im heading that way. Travel before traffic! Plan accordingly they close early. If you want to show your family and friends a cool town, with food/coffee shops and a stop at the thrift store is always a good start, I suppose.
