Rural Supply Hardware in Los Gatos

Great little hardware store! Recently bought out by Ace hardware and, while I miss my familiar Rural friends, the staff is exceptionally helpful. Parnell, you're awesome!

Very dissatisfied and disappointed with the complete lack of of service I just received. Store is going through updates and they are relocating and restocking their inventory and the store is understandably disorganized and things are not where they might normally be. Totally understandable. I get that. After spending my time making my way through the entire store looking for the 5 items I came to buy I could not find them. Made it all the way to the back counter where I encounter an employee on a computer who asked me if I needed help finding anything. I said that I did, providing the information on what I was looking for. He pointed and told me that is "up in the front right of the store". I told him that I had looked there and did not see any of the items I needed. Then, with him knowing that the store is disorganized and that area in particular is being gone through pretty heavily to be reorganized simply said, "that is where it will be" and went back to working on the computer. I am a customer in the store looking to spend my $$ with a local merchant but that is seemingly not willing to reciprocate with basic customer service.. I do not recommend visiting this store and I will never be back myself even though this business is only a few blocks from my home.

I often describe hardware stores as toy stores for middle aged family men and this place is the KayBee of local hardware stores. Staff is helpful, the goods offered are varied and of good quality. It's also very convenient that it's located just on the south end of Los Gatos. If you live on one of the nearby mountains you can be in and out without the hassles of traffic in the town proper. As an added bonus the USPS office is right across the street.

I went there for a few parts for home repair. I stayed to watch the baby chicks, browse all the useful gadgets, and just otherwise enjoy the ambiance. This is a great hardware store for small and large projects alike and really friendly atmosphere.

SO happy to have this shop in town. And everyone is so helpful! Sometimes there are more experienced-looking people (yes, I mean older! ;-)) in there, but often it’s younger high-schoolers. But they know their stuff! I don’t know another business who has such helpful young people who know where to find everything in the store! As a business owner myself, I’m jealous they have such good training. I try, but teach me! Thanks for being a great shop in our community ;-) And go, kids!

Amazingly well-stocked local hardware and industrial supply store located in downtown Los Gatos. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. This is now my go-to place for specialty plumbing and electrical pieces. I was also impressed with the prices; I was surprised that for the dozen or so items I checked, they were competitive with Amazon and the big stores like Home Depot. Highly recommended.

Great hardware store with practical hard to find stuff you need around the house. Service is good, but staffing is less than some other hardware stores in town. Very friendly and knowledgeanle when you do get help, though. Wonderful easy access downtown location across from the LG postoffice.

Small but excellent. Surprisingly good selection for a small local shop. Parking around the side. Excellent technical help too. If you're over 65, simply ask to receive a 10% discount on any purchase.
