Customer service is lost these days with big box stores. But not at this Ace Hardware! They were on point at every turn. Fri, helpful, fast and knowing the store. Hopefully other stores can do the same, two visits in and , I plan to go again.

Just super helpful staff, and its been that way for decades. They employ teens as well as knowledgeable adults, all of whom ask you if they can help whenever you look like you might need it. Its sometimes shocking at how helpful they are after shopping at understaffed big box stores. This is what you want a local hardware store to be like, and I buy stuff here I would otherwise save a couple bucks by ordering on Amazon because I like having them here and its worth it.

More expensive than home depot but good and helpful service.

Beware! This stores doesnt accept return from other stores. I bought a couple of ntenna poles on Manteca a week ago, tried to return this in Los Gatos store and they cant receive them back because they were purchased on a different store. Better go to home depot or lowes if you dont want to have this kind of problems

I love this Ace hardware. Everyone is knowledgeable, friendly, and willing to help. Ive never left there without getting what I went there to pick up. They carry up to date parts as well as hard to find older styles. I definitely recommend this ace hardware.

Good selection and help. Only negative is they could not find me in computer as I didnt have my card. Records not updated and narrowed by store. My information is shared with Mountain View and Palo Alto store with no problem so your explanation means nothing to me. We went back, got a senior discount and met the manager who took care of returns and provided excellent service. I would now give them 5 stars!

Emilio at the paint counter took great care of us and was very patient and personable as well as professional and he even remembered our names after about a week of meeting him at the counter knowing he has had multiple days of work with many customers in between then revisiting the store. Been there a few times. Always had what I needed. Kind of funny that a smaller hardware store like Ace Hardware has more of the unusual items in stock than a big warehouse type hardware store.

I was very disappointed when the Campbell Ace closed, but I will continue shopping in Los Gatos. They are a great local hardware store reminiscent of times past with helpful, knowledgeable staff who know what you need and where it is in the store. Looking forward to the new store on Bascom at Hamilton.

I came in looking for a grill, the assistance I got was amazing and I found everything I was looking for very quickly, they even loaded it into the car for me. A few weeks later I get a hand written letter from them, letting me know that the price was incorrect and it was actually $100 cheaper. The owner had already refunded my card and was just letting me know. This is the type of honesty and customer care that will keep me coming back. They didn t have to do that, and I would have been none the wiser if they didn t. Can t recommend this place enough!

I had to run in for a couple of quick things one day and I have to say I am very impressed. The store itself was very clean and well organized, but the especially impressive part was the staff. I dumped into Darren who was able to help me find what I needed for my project while also giving me some extremely helpful advise on better quality materials to use. He even went out of his way to take me to another department to get a couple of keys cut to save me time as well. 10/10 will be going back there anytime I need something.

One of the best Ace Hardware stores around. Ive been going here since 1975 (Coast to Coast Hardware back then) and theyve always been one of the best. They stock almost everything you could need and theres always an employee walking around that is ready to help you out. Im a General Contractor and I shop here every chance I get.

Well, ACE is the place!!! Today s success is specialty key making. If you don t know SlickLocks, they are the deadbolts for cargo van sliding doors . Normally it s a special order key, but I thought I d check with ACE to see if on the off chance they had a match . Almost! They had a key with a slightly different shape. The cut was fine and fit easily into the tumbler but the shape of the key was too wide for protective housing that surrounds the lock itself. Low and behold, Zach had the solution!!! Hand-shape the other end of the key to match .basically, custom making the whole key end-to-end!!! Saved me time, cost and hassle of multiple trips. Thanks Zach!! . You always have a solution.

Everyone here is always so nice and helpful. It might be more expensive than home depot on some things (but not all), but its so convenient and a pleasant experience. Also, the holiday lights I bought to decorate my house were cheaper and better quality than what I was able to find on Amazon!

This store is great. There is always plenty of staff on the floor and they are so helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable I never have trouble finding help. This is a where I come for the hard to find screw or bolt and I dont have to buy a packet when I need only a couple. I come here often for home projects. Just recently, I came in for a plumbing fix. I needed an adapter to connect my drinking water faucet to my water filter. Collin Roberts was extremely helpful. He, along with a couple others, spent an hour brainstorming and scouring the store for the right fix. He even called a plumbing store to inquire if they carried a particular part. At the end, Collin came up with a great solution. He was so patient and didnt give up. Im so glad we have an Ace Hardware in our neighborhood and with such great service and products I need.

I just popped in to grab a shovel, and while I was there I had at least three employees pass by and ask if I was finding everything ok. Super friendly and helpful, and (unlike some other big name stores I could mention) well-staffed.

Great staff! The guy at the key cutting station took a lot of care to duplicate a set of particularly tricky vintage VW keys for me. Other staff checked in with me while I waited and deftly dealt with an anti-masker in the aisle nearby. Thanks for helping keep everyone safe.

Be aware of this store return policy. They re always making it difficult to return items here. My husband told me and today I experienced it myself. Bought 4 Christmas garlands for my stairway and I just need 2. So I came to return the others. They said it s final sale because of holiday items. Also have to return by December 19th. Well, if I have known and see an obvious sign they put next to the items, I wouldn t buy 4 of them thinking I could return it. Or at least, when I checked out, someone should have at least told me about the policy and the limited date of return etc . So now I can t do anything, not even store credit. That s it. Never ever come back. Bad bad return policy and very shady not honesty at all. I would Rather go to Home Depot or Michael next time.

Need to have one little key made for my lock padlock that I just bought not even 5 or 6 months ago and they couldnt make the key Orange segments of the american electric

This Ace Store is the best in our area. They stock more items than the other Ace Hardware stores. Even more has many items that Home Depot and Lowes dont stock. The online order and then pick up is very easy as makes the pick up quick and simple.

This is a small store but you would be surprised to find a lot of emergency DIY handiman stuff, great hardware store, the reps are knowledgeable and helpful, the only place near Los Gatos where you find lots of things to fix stuff at home.
