Fast and efficient, friendly, great job
Was having issues with my battery and came to Hugos last minute. He was busy but was kind enough to squeeze me in and check out my connectors and wiring. Was able to sort out the problem the same day. He was very kind and was clear about the work that was going to be performed and what we should expect. Will definitely return for other automotive repairs.

The owner is very rude & arrogant.... I came at him very respectfully when I tried to let him know my problem, and he just kept talking over me. I don't know if it was a personal problem at home ,but he should leave that at the house It's always a proper way to conduct business
I came early to get my lights checked on my truck. I talked to an employee who said he could help me in thirty minutes or wait for the boss to come in... Long story short, I waited for the boss (Hugo) to get here, Once he came in, he was very rude and unkindly. He didn't even check my car and started telling me what the problem was... He just started telling me he had other customers coming in. When I was there waiting since 8:30 in the morning (and I was told by the employee, i was the next car after he changed the brakes on another car) before the boss arrived. So after that, I started to feel like it was racial, and he didn't want to deal with me. After I told him I was going to leave a review on google. He threw his hands in the area and started to cuss at me. Last but not lease... I was referred to your my friend! Smh
In a city of dishonest mechanics, I have to report a cheap shot made by Victor (that's the Zelle name). I brought a new car in with a problematic headlight. He reached under the car for a bit and told me the bumper needs to be taken off to replace the headlight (Acura) then pulled out a little bulb (I think from his pocket) and said in the meantime he changed this little bulb and proceeded to charge me $12 for it. Long story short, I ended up doing the job myself, and wondered where he got that little bulb from. The headlight is ALL LED and is completely sealed. For a simple $12 scam, he made me not trust the business and I feel it's right to warn a couple of you in the process. I gave him three weeks to refund the $12 (Zelle request) before I wrote this review. I'm sure the shop is normally good, it's just sad that they can't be trusted and may potentially lose thousands of dollars in potential business over $12 lunch money (probably). I got off easy!
Hugo's brings a excellent service. I bought a brand new battery for reasonable price.
Hugo's Auto Electric is a great place for electrical repairs but it's even better because Hugo is such a kind, personable soul who will treat you with respect. He's incredibly knowledgeable, and smart enough to know that we never stop learning. We can all teach each other something. His prices are great too.

Im searching for someone to add a California Compliance Catalytic Converter because mine got stolen Just last Saturday So I went to Hugo hoping that he was gonna help me out. Well he doesnt do this type of work ! But he does some other mechanical work most efficiently and at great prices Hes a 5 star shop no matter what. It is a little hard to park in such a small place but he does great work and rather lower than other places
Hugo and Pepe have been taking care of me and my friends cars for YEARS. Theyre always fair, communicate clearly, and have prices you cant beat. They care about their customers and do great work. Also theyre just incredibly nice people.
Awesome place! Came here with my dog lol Hugo and his wonderful employees are kind and HONEST! I had a simple fuse problem and they told me what it was and fixed it quickly! They didn t charge me an arm and a leg either!! I will be coming here again and again!

Hugo is an amazing auto electrician. The entrance to his garage is tricky to find. Look for the ally with several mechanic bays, Hugo is close to the south end of the ally. I brought my BMW in for headlight repair. E46 headlights are complicated and expensive. Hugo put my harvested parts together in his hands and lit up the bulbs in hand, like a magician. This shop charges a fraction of the price for headlight repair other mechanics quoted me over the phone. If you have an auto electric problem, bring your vehicle here for diagnosis and repair. Honest and affordable!
Hugos is the MOST honest Auto Electric shop in town. I have had a lot of older cars,and Hugo has helped me out 100 times!!

Great place! We came here few times to fix electrical issues. Also installed electrical socket for my dashcam, that works directly from battery 24/7. We also did oil change. So far this is a great place that I reccomend!

Hes great at what he does! Hes not a shiester! Hes not looking to get over! If he can do the job he will at a great price! If he cant he will refer you to someone who can at a reasonable price. His referrals know him and respect him so they take care of you. I love being a customer. I know that I am in good hands. He appreciates my business. He never makes you feel like a bother no matter how overwhelmed he is. Hes always in good spirits joking and laughing. Give him a chance and you wont regret it!
Just pretty much showed up with an electrical problem. Lights stopped working, Hugo said, hang out here for a while and Ill fit you in. In a half hour, I was on my way with working head lights. And a blessing too.

Bad service cant fix a headlight switch and caught a fix it ticket because of it, had to take it elsewhere to get it properly fixed. This happened on a very busy day.

Been knowing and going to Hugo over 30 yrs. My pops and him was friends and after my pops passed away this is where i would come to get auto advise and repairs on my cars. Hugo was honest up front with cost to troubleshoot a problem with my car for not starting. After towing my car to Hugos, (and having a roadside serviceman tell me its the alarm and not my battery and a phone technician tell me its the starter) in a few minutes hugo had my car running but opted to leave my car for further diagnostics. If additional things need fixing related to the car not starting, Hugo made sure that I understood the cost variables that I could choose based on my budget so he didnt charge me up front to fix and diagnose related issues. My car is in Hugos shop still but I already feel taken cared of. Ill rate again once I get my car back.
For 2 weeks, no one else could fix my lexuss electrical problem. Sensors constantly showing Hugo fixed it in less than 2 hours(on a busy Saturday 1/28/2017) for a great price. Even taking time to talk to me, explain problem and clean my engine a bit. Absolutely great service - highly recommended

So I found out the hard way that I am not an Auto Electrician specialist.. I tried to wire some LED tail lights to my 94 Lexus and end up burning out a fuse and a brake light modulator.. I tried to cut a few corners and save some money.. But failed miserably.. I called Hugo first thing Monday and brought my car down and he not only wired all the LED lights correctly but added my reverse light bulbs gave me a new fuse and somehow miraculously fixed my brake light modulator.. All within 1.5 hours. Please keep in mind that Hugo is a multitasker.. So he may answer three or four phone calls while working on your car.. And also he starts his workday at 9:30 a.m. not 8 a.m. like Google says.. Highly recommend. You can get a lot done at this place for $75

I have been using another mechanic in Hollywood with a good reputation for about a dozen years, but when my tail-lights and dashboard light went out, he told me it wasnt worth fixing because it would run $1000 or more. When I bought my vehicle from the previous owner 7 years ago, hed mentioned hed had electrical issues with the alarm and had to de-activate the horn in order to eliminate the alarm problems after multiple repair attempts elsewhere. I brought the 94 Nissan Pathfinder to Hugos, and he repaired ALL these problems without having to replace the whole dashboard assembly; it had been a switch in the steering column that had failed. He removed the alarm and got the horn working for the first time since Id gotten the car. Total cost was very reasonable; around $165. There was also a problematic switch in the transmission for the backup lights, and he offered to refer me to a transmission guy for that. (I had another mechanic fix this, but Hugos had told me exactly what needed to be fixed, which helped) The mechanic at Hugos was exceptionally accommodating too, staying late a couple of times for me. I cant say enough good things about this shop.
