Amato Tire in Laguna Hills

Amato Tire was wonderful to us! We had car issues from out of town. Junior at Amato Tires and the team (specifically Angel) helped assess and fix our tires in that moment. We were able to go back the following morning and had it fixed within 2 hours so we didn t have to spend days of our vacation waiting. They are very professional, efficient, and affordable. Definitely recommend for anyone!!!

The place is very casual, friendly and reasonably priced. I guess you get what you pay for... Asked for an alignment. When received the car from the wheel alignment the steering wheel wasnt straight. Returned the few minutes later and asked them to do a little correction, which of course they were happy to do. After receiving the car the second time, the steering wheel was still off to the left a few degrees. Slightly embarrassed, but I returned again and asked them for a second correction. They put the car on the pad immediately, although the guy was questioning me, saying when he was driving it, the steering wheel looked straight to him. This time I was watching the so-called mechanic who only adjusted the left side of the tire rod end. Needless to say, my steering wheel is still pointing to the left a few degrees when Im driving straight. But more importantly, they proved the incompetence with adjusting only one side of the tire rod, which is screws up their own alignment. I also did not receive any printed out paperwork from the performed alignment improvement/difference. Wasted time and money.

Horrible service. They were rude and upset that I would not purchase tires from them. I paid for a patch on my tire, drove out of the shop and my tire light went off again. They did not patch my tire and took my money. They fixed the tire in 6 mins?

Ive been buying tires from Jr at Amato for almost 2 decades now. Very reliable, honest, and fairly priced.

My husband and I have been coming here since we moved to the area about four years ago. Prices are more than fair and the shop owner always goes over and beyond to work within our budget for whatever we need done. There is almost always same day availability and the work is completed quickly and done perfectly. Definitely will keep coming back for any and all car repairs and maintenance. Thank you!

Called Amato tire on a Friday morning when I realized I had a persistent slow tire leak and got seen within minutes despite a busy day. Lucky for me it was a patch job. Efficient, capable service and techs. Thank you for getting me back on the road!

WARNING.... drove the car to Amato tire just fine. Next day went to retrieve it and it wouldnt start. Junior wouldnt/didnt do anything about it. He was so rude and unprofessional. I wouldnt recommend this place not even to an enemy

If you need your tire patched go to American tire co big o tires etc they do it for free not worth paying for it here.

had a bad experience with this company, guys, business with customers doesnt work like that!!! I announced one price on the phone when paying, he takes more without explanation. I replaced summer tires for four seasons after replacing the rims, they leaked air. I warned that I would return for summer tires. When I returned, two wheels were missing. I feel that I was cheated and robbed in one day. !!! it was a horrible day!! Terrible service, they were very rude to me, do not recommend, never again

The owner has several adds on Craigslist and offer up. He will give you an address near the shop then and then tell you to go across the street to the tire shop and ask for Jose. The tires are unsafe and they sell them to people instead of disposing.This is a criminal offense.

Youve got to love a family-owned business like this. I got a leak rolling through Pendleton, so I stopped at a large chain with and they told me that the puncture was too close to the sidewall to try to repair. It was in the tread far enough that it actually wasnt in the sidewall. I came to Amato and they took the time, and it did not take them long, to take the tire off and check. Turns out the object was too big. They had a fairly rare like-tire in stock, put it on, balanced it, and I was back on the road in almost the amount of time that it took me to get the previous opinion (with the tire still on the car) at the national chain. They are definitely at the top of my list for my next set of tires, even though theyre a ways away from home. Ill be more than happy to pull off the 5 and enjoy their excellent service again.

Had my check engine light come on yesterday as I was driving to work. I did all the checks as per the Quick start guide, that did nothing, today (04/05/2022) got up extra early and headed out to Amato Tire, spoke with Rob Jr ( Jr) he did a reset of codes, all good, Then had an oil change. I always feel that the service that Amato Tire provides, is fair, reasonable. And they always help with tips. Have had all my car serviced here, wont go elsewhere.

I must say Im very impressed with these guys! Especially Junior, he was able to get me a tire put in my car last minute an hour before closing. He even got me a band-aid and ointment as I cut my dirty hands on The wire from the blown tire. Thanks so much!!

Missed my appointment to install a new tire. Came in, they got it done in like half an hour while busy. Fast work.

After being told by 3 other shops that I would have to wait at least 4 hours to get a nail removed and my tire patched I called Amato. They said bring it in and they had me in and out in about 30 minutes on a Friday afternoon around 2:30.The difference was Amato seemed much busier than the other shops. The other difference was their employees were hustling and working hard non stop. The other 3 shop seemed like they were 1/2 comatose and waiting for quitting time. I had them quote me a price for tires on the wifes car and it came out less expensive than ordering on tire rack and going through all the hassle. I just found my new go to place for tires!

Junior always does an excellent job. Trust him with all of my cars. He s honest, prices are fair, and most of all I feel comfortable and confident leaving my car in his hands. He has a lot of experience and knows what he s doing.

I trust these guys and I think they have more reasonable prices than the other shops in this area. And they have always been pretty quick when I go to them.

My family has been a customer for over 20 years. Always good service. Today just stopped by for a tire repair and they fit me in and fixed it quickly. Thanks Junior. UPDATE 11-14-22. Once again Amato tire comes to the rescue. My wife went to a fast lube place to get her oil changed and they had difficulty getting the oil filter off. In trying to get it off they mangled it and made it even more difficult. I told her to have them stop to prevent more damage. I had it towed to Amato and Junior was able to get it off and they put a new filter and oil. Dont trust your vehicle with any chain automotive shop. They dont have the experience to fix your car and they can damage it. I will always go to Amato. Thanks again Junior.

Do not go here worst experience ive ever had with a mechanic. 2 thumbs way down.False diagnostics and rude customer service. No respect for other peoples money. Had me replace all the shocks with never test driving it and it wasnt even the problem.

I called to ask how much it would cost to replace my break pads. The man on the phone was so rude and interrupted me while I was talking. I told him he was being very rude and that I would just call somewhere else and he said no worries bye. My spouse works across the street from this place. I cant believe how little interest they had in a new client.

These guys are unbelievable. I took my van in cause the steering wheel was shaking and in no time they tested it and gave me a solution. Very afordable as well and straight to the point no bs. Even gave me a follow up call. Fantastic.

Horrible place, rude service, the larger man in front sold my husband the wrong size tire ( after being given the van to be worked on) and said we didnt have that exact size but this is close enough it was a tire a size bigger. He wouldnt fix it or refund the money! Do not go to this place

We decided to go on a drive from San Diego and our car started shaking badly. After checking that one of our tires was tearing, i started calling any tire shops near me to avoid getting stranded going home. On labor day of course at 3:45pm everybody is closed but i appreciated the call back. Asked if i could get my tired replaced now & after 25 minutes it was fixed! I definitely appreciated he went out of his way, even though they were already closed, to do this for my husband and I when we most needed it. He was very nice & kind as well. Customer service like that is 5 star review worthy!

I would give Amato Tire 10 stars . Christmas Eve I realized I had a nail in my front tire. I called a few tire places but no one could help. But when I called Amato Tire Rob picked up and said he could repair my tire the next morning. I said it s Christmas Day you would do that. And he said yes I m here to help. I called the next morning and Rob gave me a time to meet at the tire shop. This wasn t a big repair and it took 20minutes. Rob went above and beyond and out of his way to help me and I am so incredibly thankful for his generosity. I have purchased tires in the past at Amato Tires and hands down this will be my only go to tire place in Laguna Hills. Cheers to Rob you are amazing!

This is the most honest tire shop in the area. The team at Amato Tire is extremely professional and gave me a great value on my tires and brakes. The service was done quickly. I would 100% recommend.

Not sure Ive posted on here before for Amato Tires but lets just say weve been getting our tires from here for decades despite all the input, suggestions, recommendations everyone and their mom like to give with prices, service, options, etc...I have yet to have reason to change. 3 generations of Amatos and Randalls and we are still allowed to come back

I went in for an oil change, the owner took me right in. He was friendly, honest & spot on, on time. He told me 30 minutes, so l decided to take a walk. I set my timer to walk 15 minutes then turn around. I walked in and my car was ready. He also told me what to expect for my next visit

Got a puncture in my Pirelli runflat tire. Manufacturer wanted to sell me a $400 tire so I tried to go to Tucker tire but the line was out the door and they wanted to plug the tire. Amato patched the tire with no wait, they had me in and out faster than it took to talk to the counter guy at Tucker, and it was only $30.

Had to pay over the phone for my lady friend and nothing but smooth sailing. Good people

A great find. Consistently reliable work done here, very good pricing, and reputable, they do stand behind their work. We have used them over 10 years now, Amato has been our source for maintenance, brakes, tires, oil changes, and repair work. Amato did a great job adding performance suspension to our FJ Cruiser. I have been taking my cars to Amato for years. I am a single woman and it is the ONLY place I feel like I do not get the she wont know rip off game. I am actually always surprised at the price, being lower than I expected. Two months ago I made a terrible mistake, I had a long trip to take and I brought my car to Fletcher Jones for a total check-up. The car was running fine - always has. But FJ told me it needed serious work, the price was higher than the value of the car! I chose to change hoses, and do 2 or 3 other things they suggested... and took off on a 2000 mile trip. My car stalled, over-revved, and felt like it was on ice the whole time. I drove straight to Amato and now it feels like I have a sturdy, solid, muscle car again. As long as Amato is around I feel safe about the condition of my car. I drive 1000 miles each week, it is very important to me. They are honest and do great work.

I was referred to them by a friend who works for a local car dealership a few years ago and they have always been straight forward, honest and do good work! They save me a ton of money on oil changes and service that the dealership would gouge me. I have seen them for years and wont ever change!

I took my car to Amato on 07/14/15 to get a front end alignment. I took with me a coupon (they had on their website) for a front end alignment for $29.99. I arrived about 1:50 p.m. I was asked if I wanted a 4 wheel alignment. I accepted, as most people would. However, it seems the coupon didnt apply. I paid $69 for a 4 wheel alignment, which is still competitive and better than the Dealer. What impressed me was the service. When I arrived, I was told that everybody was at lunch, and I was asked if I could wait an hour and a half. (I thought it was strange for an entire crew to be gone at 2:00 p.m. for lunch?) Since I was already there, I agreed to wait. Well, somebody didnt take lunch because my car was done and delivered by 2:20 p.m. So, all in all, I waited only 1/2 hour.

I bought a set of Goodyear Asymmetric F1 tires for my Audi from Amato Tire and Brake about a month ago. These are high performance tires and hard to come by. Their prices were very fair but more importantly their customer service was EXCEPTIONAL! This past Sunday I got a nail in the tire which caused me to get a flat on the I-5. I called Amato knowing they were closed on Sunday but praying that someone might be in the shop and help me out. Who says prayers dont get answered? Rob (the owner) picked up the phone. He happened to be there doing a favor for someone on his only day off. Even though it was late, he gave me his cell phone number and told me to call him and he would meet me to fix the tire. Sure enough, I called him, and on the day they are closed, he opened the shop and fixed my tire. That my friends is the long lost art of customer service. Im extremely grateful for the help when I was in a tough spot. They have made a customer for life and I highly recommend them to anyone who needs their car serviced or a new set of tires.

The staff at Amato are great, they are up front with you and always make a great effort to do the work correctly and with a smile. Ive gone to them a dozen times and have had nothing but good results. I drive a Mercedes Benz CL65 and love their service. :) :)
