SSR uses other company s vehicles & builds and posts them as their own. They will remove water marks, business logos, and blatantly lie about installing parts and tuning people s vehicles when they did not. Highly reccomend avoiding this company.

This is THE SHOP. I have been to majority of the shops in OC/LA area and I have never left there fully satisfied. It s always some excuse everytime you go pick up your car. Im thrilled to share my amazing experience with SSR Performance! These guys are hands down the best in the business. My 2018 BMW M4 got the royal treatment not once but twice, and I wouldnt dream of taking my future cars anywhere else. Mark, Rod, and the entire SSR team know how to make you feel like a VIP. I was referred to SSR by a friend after receiving damage on my front bumper and headlight from flying road debris. I was already familiar with the company s great reputation of doing quality work so I knew what to expect if I worked with them. Richard was assigned to me and handled my case like a true professional, he absolutely went above and beyond for me in every category. He dealt with the insurance companies to make sure nothing comes out of my pocket and for them to cover additional things without raising my insurance. He sent me daily updates about what was being done to my vehicle along with videos with detailed descriptions on how they were doing it. On top of the top tier customer service and care provided they absolutely came through on the body work of my car as it looked brand new and was done by the deadline he promised. Richard and SSR have earned my business for life and I will be referring all my friends and family to work with him as I was just amazed by the whole process. Cant say enough about this place. Not only did they do excellent work on my BMW which effectively made my M550 nearly as fast as an M5 for just a couple grand, but specifically the GM Mark has been exceptional throughout the process. He has graciously answered my questions promptly and elaborately every single time. They were even recommended to me by my BMW dealer, which again proves how awesome they are. Highly recommend to come here when you want quality work at a reasonable price! I certainly will be back, as well

Seeing this shops social media presence and the people they sponsor had deceived me in the beginning. I ve had more bad experiences with this shop than good. I have put off writing a review for a long time but I don t wish to anymore. One of the main issues I encountered was after SSR installed my rain light diffuser. Shortly after install, I had a friend call me after they saw me on the road with a tail light out. Due to their shotty wiring job, my rain light and right tail light were out until I could get rescheduled. Second, after having my stock exhaust re installed after I got a ticket, they left the remus exhaust hangers on with the stock exhaust which made it rattle like crazy after a couple days. I waited in the waiting room for approx 3-4 hours until they brought the car out with exhaust fixed 3-4 hours for a small job that should have been made a priority. Now to last week. I was out at the track and mid session I hear a BOOM. Was stuck in limp mode, couldn t figure out what was going on since I had SSR upgraded chargepipes, so it couldn t have been those I thought. I found out today, the SSR UPGRADED charge pipes had blown off on the bottom side. Ruined my track day and I was stuck in limp mode not knowing what was wrong until I had another shop diagnose what happened. SSR recommended me their charge pipes because of how often the stock ones pop, yet theirs did the exact same thing!! I have said and always said, you can tell they take better care of cars that are owned by friends of the shop and super cars, not as much M cars and others in the same realm.

The worst place to ever go they scratched my car and didnt own up to it. They gave me crazy prices because they knew I was jewish and gave me the worst service. Dont go here.

SSR Performance is by far the BEST auto repair and performance shop Ive been too. They went above and beyond to make sure the entire experience was smooth and seamless as possible. My car was damaged in a accident with left side completely bent in and damaged in addition to the driver side rim and wheel. When I got it back it was brand new! They made the repair process from drop off to pickup so easy and seamless compared to others that will take your car in then make excuses about repair process. All the people there are super passionate about what they do! Super professional and friendly! I wanted to specifically thank Shah the owner for making it such a pleasant experience. I will be a lifelong customer! If you are in Orange County or anywhere in Southern California, I would definitely take your car there for your auto repair or performance modification needs!

I took my M2 Competition to SSR, to get the pinned crankhub and S55 Powerpack installed. Mark did a great job communicating the information and prices, and cut costs where he could. Though the powdercoated intakes and charge pipes dont match my paint color as I had hoped, they look fantastic in the engine bay. Ill be returning to SSR for modifications in the future.

I really was pleased with all the work SSR did. I had taken my car to another place after it was involved in an accident and i had to literally pull it out from where it was and had it towed over to SSR. Very professional and always informant to all the status it needed. The Guy who help me was Rod and he was on top of everything including insurance. Rod always texted me back and let me know in detail everything that needed to be done. I am pleased with the care they did to my M5 BMW. THANK YOU ROD AND STAFF.

Update May 2, 2021: I ve brought both of my 335is in for SSR s intake valve cleaning service and will not entrust them with my cars in the future. My first experience was very good, however my in most recent visit, they were careless and left essential hoses unplugged which resulted in an engine malfunction and serious misfire in which I was left stranded on the side of the road.

Overall this place is not professional first of all they only talk to men not women I guess we women dont know anything about cars lol. We were better off taking my car to the dealer which we are to make sure the car is fine .I dont trust this place ..

The crew over at SSR is awesome. I honestly don t know why anyone would take their car to a dealership to get work done. The services are easy to schedule, most of the time it takes place over text message, with clear, concise quotes before you commit to anything. The prices are also completely reasonable and transparent. They are very knowledgeable about all German cars, but if you own an M series BMW and need service or any modifications done - this is the spot. They take care of both my X4M40i and my 440i GC and handle both with kid-gloves.

Very happy with my engine tune and downpipes. They were on time and answered all my questions that they had. Also gave me a tour of their auto body and performance shop! Great people, they really know what they re doing.

Got their downpipe that they make in house, a high pressure fuel pump and spark plugs installed, all was done in reasonable time and for a good price

Although the communication was not 100% accurate with me, the service was great and they were also able to let me know that my PVC valve was actually broken and needed to be changed. Car is running like a dream now after the walnut blast though.

The crew at SSR was able to quickly diagnose and fix a sensor issue on my BMW that had baffled several other mechanic shops. Not only are they super knowledgeable, but also have the best customer service Ive ever experienced at a mechanic. Overall great shop!

335is My boyfriend found this shop on Instagram, so after speaking to Jack we decided to bring the car here for some work. Both body and performance. For collision repair the car was hit and had minor damages to the hood and light, after 3 1/2 weeks at the shop , this hinges in the hood aren t closing properly, the light that they replaced gave out the same night I brought it home. The color paint job was on point, car looks like new again. The quality of the paint is good. So the car looks like new but things are not working pretty much. On the performance side, my boyfriend was satisfied. They did an excellent job ( his words) he had down pipes installed. Car sounds loud which he seems to like and drives great. No check engine light. So they did post pictures of the car on Instagram (black335is) while it was getting repaired and used it for promotional , but after 3 weeks I thought that was too long so we contacted them, and they finally had it ready for pick up ... so they did discount the deductible and some fees which we thought was pretty cool. Overall we decided next time we will just take the car to the dealer for body and quality work. But performance is good.

I was having difficulty with parts that I ordered from a third party website and Nick at SSR was super helpful and took care of it for me. They held the parts for me to pick up as well since I was already waiting quite a while for them from the other seller. The owners are horrible very bad Customer service I had my BMW fixed there and it was a total mess. They first put a new exhaust in and had horrible noise and alignment problems right from the beginning. I had to go somewhere to get it fixed because they wouldn t fix it. Took my M5 here for some routine maintenance items, and they treated me like I was doing a twin turbo huracan build, (meaning excellent, lest there be any confusion). Everyone there was extremely knowledgeable and passionate, they are a family and when you go to SSR for the first time or the 50th time they show you that same love. Cars like these take special care to keep running at optimal performance and if you have any issues you can be rest assured they will work diligently to get you back to 100% as if it were their own. They also have a great waiting area if you have to drive from a distance like I did, they gave my dog her own water bowl and even shared their pizza with me.

I normally dont post reviews about a company that I dont do business with, but my experience with SSR sales process was pretty underwhelming. I called them up to see if they could do a full Stage 2 upgrade to my 2015 Audi S4 which in this case could be a supercharger pulley upgrade and an ECU flash. My sales bro served up the AWE kit and associated costs. All dandy so far. Then he texts me saying they cant do the upgrade because they dont have the necessary equipment to do the work. Huh. Very odd. I checked this kits online posted instructions and sure enough its a home DIY job. He said they didnt have the means to heat up the pulley (AWE said to throw that b in a toaster oven...) or freeze?! it?! There were no such instructions to freeze the supercharger shaft as I was told via text. Ive never interacted with a performance auto shop and have them tell me they cant do a DIY job because they dont have the tools to do it. I find that immensely unprofessional. There were no offers of different products either. It was we cant do this, kbye!

I contacted a few shops to see what kind of pricing I could find for a chrome delete and powder coated wheels on my BMW 320i. I called SSR Performance and Zayn was super helpful over the phone and gave me a ball park estimate by explained to me that he wanted me to bring my car in to give me an accurate final price. I went in, got a great price, and left my car for the next 2 days. SSR Performance completed all the work in two days as promised. The wheels were powder coated gloss black and cane out looking BRAND NEW. Even the little curb rash that I had on my wheels was completely gone. I LOVE the new blacked out look on my BMW now. I ll definitely be recommending this place to all of my friends and family for any aftermarket needs.

Easy appointment setup and smooth process. They installed an AA front mount intercooler and charge pipe that I purchased elsewhere. My 2014 335i M-Sport runs even better after the installation. Amazing service once again! Couldnt be happier with the team at SSR Performance. They spent an hour with my car going over it to diagnose issues and showed me everything they found, provided a competitive quote (better than a nearby shop) that included more work that they had diagnosed. Recently had a big job done here for my f30 328i. My transmission and flywheel were completely blown out by the previous owner. Car was purchased through Carmax . It was a big bummer having to fork over the money to get this work done, but I wouldn t have wanted to give it to any other shop. SSR actually had pretty reasonable rates for being a well known shop. Rod and Shah were very good at communicating and the work was done quickly. I ll definitely be coming back for other maintenance and work. Hopefully nothing as big as the clutch and flywheel though, but I was very happy with my experience here. I would definitely recommend them, especially if you own a BMW.

Talked to Shah on the phone about suspension for my 2018 BMW M3. He was very professional and straightforward. He gave me excellent pricing and beat the other prices Ive gotten by other shops in the area. He ordered H&R h.a.s. and had them in a few days later. Moved out to Irvine 2 years ago. I don t have time to work on my cars anymore so I normally went to my buddy back at home before I moved out here. Starting to get into V6 power and ended buying my m235i. My business partner suggested SSR. Called them after someone hit my car in the parking while I was at work. The guys at SSR Performance are the best at what they do, hands down. I brought my car to them for a spark plug issue, and they were in and out of the engine bay in seriously 30 minutes. It turned out that my car had some other issues that needed to be addressed during the same visit, so I left my car with them for an evening while they ordered parts, and got my car back in MINT condition before the end of the next business day. Consider this: their shop is located in Santa Ana, and I live in Culver City, but I would much rather drive to them than go anywhere else for my car troubles and needs. They kept me informed and updated the entire time, and you can tell that every single person who works their knows exactly what theyre doing. 10/10 would recommend

I just wanted to give a shout out to the guys over at SSR Performance in Irvine. They had a great promotional deal on stock side VRSF inlets and I jumped on it. I showed up and they were determined to get me in and out so I could make it to my meet that Saturday. On went the gloves and they dove into the engine within 15 minutes of me showing up from San Diego. The install was perfect and they even gave me a heads up and showed me some mechanical issues I should keep an eye on. Appointment was at 9, I was out at 12. I couldnt be more happy. Highly recommend and will be going to SSR for my upgraded turbos!

Being an e92 m3 owner the rod bearings have been on my mind since ownership. Ive been reviewing prices around and wanted a good shop that would not only understand the structure of my vehicle but a place I would recommend to anyone. Look no further, SSR is the one! I drove from San Francisco and had my bearings done. They completed the work in less then 5 hours and drove back in one day. Great experience, friendly people, and very knowledgeable . I did a lot of research to find a shop that was knowledgeable in replacing rod bearnings on an E60 M5 with a V10. I came across SSR on some BMW boards so I decided to give them a call. Shaw was easy to deal with and seemed to know what he was talking about. I use to be a BMW master tech so I can tell when people dont know S#!t but think they do. I never got this impression from Shaw. He was straight forward and to the point. I live in Northern California and didnt want to attempt this job in my dirty garage. I was going to be in LA on business so I dropped off the car and got a rental car while the work was completed. Their tech was great he showed me all the old parts and was fast but thorough. When talking to him I could tell he knew BMWs. Dinan in Northern California quoted me $6K and SSR was $3200. It was defiantly worth the drive. I highly recommend people that have an M car that is hitting 60K-80K and needs Brngs replaced, CALL Shaw at SSR Performance.

Man this place is amazing. Took my M5 in yesterday. I needed an oil change and a 40K service. Ive been looking for a shop that can do upgrades on my car and one of the owners said that they do performance upgrades on BMWs. So I thought I would try it. I had downpipes put in. Within a few hours I got a call that my car was ready which surprised me. The guys at SSR performance did an AMAZING job. My car sounds sooooo good. Let me start by saying that in my years of dealing with auto mechanics/performance shops, never have I been treated with such respect and professionalism that SSR Performance has provided me with. My weekend car is a 2015 BMW M4 and Ive been looking to squeeze a tad bit more umph out of my car for those short, spirited moments where you really want to test the cars potential. Being skeptical of handing my car over to just anyone, I finally stumbled upon SSR Performance through word of mouth and my own personal research. Upon entering the establishment, I was immediately taken aghast by the chique, clean, and modern reception area. However, it did not end there. The shop area seemed to have been held to the same, if not greater, standard as reception. Im a very meticulous individual so it was very refreshing to find a shop that shares the same passion when it comes to cars. I decided to pull the trigger and get catless downpipes, some suspension work, and black vinyl roof overlay(they also offer full vinyl wraps!). All the work was completed in a timely fashion with tremendous attention to detail! Five thousand miles later, this car still manages to put a smile on my face with maximum power deliver through the power-band and has fully redifined the meaning of Canyon Carver with my suspension work. I had the pleasure of working with Shah and Zayn, who worked tirelessly on my 2012 335is. I ve been to many reputable shops in Southern California such as European Auto Source (EAS), Mod Auto/Mod Bargains, MRF Engineering etc. SSR Performance beats ALL of those shops by a HUGE margin, hands down. Shah and Zayn even showed up to my home to perform a misfire diagnostic, as well as to install new painted reflectors and didn t leave until almost 1am Saturday morning! Talk about dedication and customer service! Who else is willing to go the extra mile like that these days?? While the guys working at those other shops were at home, all cozy in their little beds on a Friday night, Shah and Zayn were up late and resolved my misfire issue, which McKenna BMW incorrectly diagnosed! The problem ended up being a $40 ignition coil whereas McKenna BMW wanted me to perform a $500 walnut blast to cure the misfire! Shah and Zayn are passionate, extremely capable, have great attention to detail and provide EXCELLENT customer service and follow-up. I was extremely impressed by the level of professionalism and knowledge both of them demonstrated as well as the great advice they gave me for future improvements. If you are a BMW enthusiast, you know that things in the N54 world are constantly changing. My 2009 335i coupe has almost reached 100k miles and since it is being fitted with a few fine performance upgrades, it was time to clear its airways. The plaque of DI engines, carbon buildup, needed to be addressed. I love my car and Im very selective in deciding who to trust with working on it. Stealer was a no-go, not only due to an astronomical price tag of $800, but also since quite often the personnel just does not care and would rarely step outside the bulletin instructions. Solution--independent, boutique specialty shops like SSR Performance, who have set their focus on fine work, rather than mass-oriented auto services like oil change and brake pads. While they could gladly provide such basic services for their customers, they focus on fine tuning your vehicle, hence for them it is quality before quantity. That I value more than anything. In addition, their knowledge is beyond that of a car mechanic, since they have a background in engineering, and they also work on development and manufacturing of performance parts and components. After a couple of hours of browsing the Internet at the lounge area of the shop, my car was ready with shiny clean valves, smoother idle, and undeniably improved torque curve with approximately 10% more low- and mid-range torque. I doubt that max. power or max. torque values have significantly changed, but the curve is definitely more enjoyable. Being very satisfied with their work and attention to detail, I would consider SSR Performance for all fine tuning a performance car may need, be it track or street use.

Shah and Zayn really know what theyre doing when it comes to BMWs. My car broke down on the freeway at 6pm on my way home from work and I didnt know where to take it. I found SSR online and called them. Zayn was VERY helpful on the phone and I got it towed straight to their shop immediately. They ran diagnosis and found out that two of the coil packs were not working (2009 335i). Once they made sure I understand the problem 100% they went ahead and changed the parts and got me on the road within 1 hour! There is NO other shop that will do that for you at 6pm on a Thursday night (not that I know of at least). Thank you Shah and Zayn!! I will definitely be sending all my friends and family to SSR Performance for any auto repairs!!

I had some downpipes laying in my garage for my M4 for the last 2 months but hadnt had time to take them anywhere. On Memorial Day weekend I finally got a chance and called a few places last week to make the appointment for this weekend. However, I was getting quoted a lot higher than I expected to pay. Finally I came across SSR performance on the local forum and gave them a call. Got a quote within 1 minute and it was 2/3 the price of anywhere else. Shah and Zayn were extremely caring with my car and made sure that all my picky requests were met. That goes without saying, I will be coming back here for my mods and recommend anyone that needs more performance out of their BMW to go to SSR performance!

I went to SSR today to get my walnut blast done and spark plugs replaced. Zayn was very helpful and make sure that my car has no oil leak or any other issue.
