Premier Auto of gilroy in Gilroy

Very frustrating experience here at Premier Auto of Gilroy. I was recommended this repair shop from my Carmax Maxcare Warranty. When I arrived for my appointment on Saturday 2/1, I clarified that they work with the Carmax warranty and they assured me they do. When I didn't hear anything by Tuesday morning, I called them for an update and that's when they decided to tell me they ordered a part for my car and it will be delivered soon. I was under the impression that when they found the issue with my car, they would reach out to Carmax to ensure it was under my warranty before ordering parts or anything. They didn't do that and worked on my car anyway, without getting any permission from my warranty. So when I arrived on 2/8, I had to pay out of pocket. The ONLY reason I drove 45 to here was to ensure I could get it covered under my insurance. I still haven't been reimbursed by my warranty because technically, the repairs should've been approved before the repairs were completed. Also, they were not able to clear the codes on my dashboard so I don't really know if they fixed anything. That's been the most frustrating part because it feels like my car still has the same exact issues. Definitely will not be back and will not recommend.

Amazing mechanic shop I took my car in to get the headlights replaced and turns out the oil pan was leaking and it was time for an oil change Carlos did both and even fixed a cosmetic issue on the front right bumper. All that for a very fair price and done in a timely manner I'm definitely returning to this shop for future appointments

This is simply to say that their custom service is excellent. We spoke to Carlos and he was super nice and polite. We didn’t get service done there bc our truck needed towing back to Big Sur but they let us hang in the parking lot till our ride came. It’s made out super stressful day a bit better with their kindness.

You guys it you havent already been here you should definitely trust carlos and his team they saved me 700 dollars on a job that the dealership failed to do so. honesty is this guys middle name he will never try and gip you the way other macanics do. So if you ever have a car issues please take it to Carlos and his team they will never let you down and have you back on the road faster than you can call your insurance agent thank you again I hope you dig the burrito !!!

I have been coming to this establishment before Carlos was the manager and even then I always had great service here. It was that time again for a synthetic oil change. And of course I had to pick the Saturday before Memorial Day. I like to call ahead so then I can plan accordingly, but I had went Friday afternoon to see if I could get squeezed in. I ended up taking my car Saturday afternoon and was able to get served quickly. Customer service was friendly as always, which was Carlos.

I spoke to Carlos Ayon in regards to the issue I was having and I was having a hard time to put in words what was going on exactly. He was quick to listen, attentive, ensured that he inspected the car and provided me with the solution and was even kind enough to show me as he explained what needed fixing. He was patient, reliable, quick, and the price was definitely reasonable. I appreciated the transparency and his patience.

In mid-September we brought a car into the shop. It was agreed they would replace the front right wheel speed sensor. First they apparently ordered a wrong part as the car was not ready at the agreed time. When they supposedly finished their job, there was no difference with the car - the warning lights were still on and the car still behaved as before. They said their job is done and that this is all they were paid for.

I am a long time repeat customer here and have nothing but praise for the team. Not every job turned out perfect but they stood by their product and in one occasion disassembled my dash again to replace a defective blower fan. Most recently I was quoted a great price on replacing my internal oil pump and had it done the next morning. Old and new cars will benefit from this polished establishment.
