Brought my grand Highlander in because the lift gate would open but would not close. Service tech said my lift gate was not aligned and that I needed to take it to a body shop to have it realigned. Took it to a body shop down the road and they said the lift gate was aligned. Brought it back to the dealership and found out that they did not check the sensors to see if they worked. The vehicle was in the shop for 3 days because they did not have the part and had to order it. Once they figured out the problem the process went smoothly. Next time they should look at everything before telling you that you need to spend money on something that is fully covered under the warranty. Lots of time was wasted and I wasn’t able to use my vehicle for 3 days.
