FREEDOM AUTO REPAIR in Freedom

Really bad service and rude people pais before so they can fix it and its been a 1 month since they havent given the car back and they lie that its almost done doesnt pick up calls and rude service DONT GO THERE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! this is a bad shop

They replaced my front rotors in a jif during a scary brake failure when I was driving through, and nut & bolt clamped my dented front panel on their own initiative. The crew at Freedom is very responsive to their owner as well as their client, and they are a far share more car savvy than the nearby shops and engine smith.

My partner and I had been taking his Honda to Freedom for around 5-6 months for multiple repairs. While at first it seemed like reasonable service eventually turned into multiple issues. Our car had an oil leak as well as a few other problems… took it to the shop and said it was fixed and a day after ended up leaking even more oil than before. Took the car back and then he figured out the issue but didn’t resolve it fully. It felt like the mechanic didn’t take his time (this was the first red flag that we ignored multiple times). We bought a van that needed a few things done to prepare it for a long trip (1000 miles plus) so we dropped the van off and made it as clear as possible that it needed to be ready for this trip. Not even 300 miles into the drive our van started to smoke and barely made it to the closest auto shop to us. Monkey wrench in Reno worked on it and found that the previous mechanic who did a poor/rushed job leaving things not properly closed or complete. We gave Freedom a phone call to discuss the situation, never got a call back at all. We had to fork out an extra $500 on top of the hundreds from labor that freedom auto had already done right before our trip. If he would’ve just returned our call and settle the situation, we probably wouldn’t have decided to write this review. We can no longer bring our service to or recommend this shop to anyone moving forward. Too many times our vehicles were rushed and not properly done the first time around.

Albert (I believe this was his name) was fantastic. Took car in to check out the brakes, was concerned they needed to be replaced due to high mileage. One of the few shops open on Saturdays, called in on a Friday and had an appointment the very next day. Albert asked me why I wanted to replace my brakes, as they were still in good condition. He did not push at all to replace them, showed me how much was left, let me know a timing estimate of when they would need to be replaced, and indicators of when they would need to be replaced. He also noticed uneven wear on my tires, showed me this, explained what might've caused this, and what I could do to potentially fix it. He listened and answered all questions I had thoroughly and without condescension. Excellent service, honest mechanics, and reasonably priced. Also, just for reference, Albert mentioned they do pretty much all work on cars except for tires. Highly recommend.

Amazing service. I took my car in because my brakes were grinding I dropped my car off about 930 and they had my car done by noon. Easy and affordable.

The owner I think, was really helpful and kind! Great pricing and overall good experience. I definitely would come here again.
