6164 Hwy 9, Felton, CA 95018, United States
Amazing Thrift Store. The employees are awesome and there's a bunch of cool stuff in there.
This is a non-profit thrift store housed in a former bowling alley. It is extremely well organized and the prices are legitimately low. If only Goodwill and the Salvation Army could be half as organized and competitively priced!
I love Abbots! You might have to dig deep to find your treasures but they are there and prices are great. A fun way to spend your day for bargain hunters.
The best thrift store in the world, and get this a friendly staff to boot!if your looking for something that is odd this would be the place. Fantastic prices.
I loved this place but the pricer is completely out of their gourd. I'll still pick through but someone needs to have a talk with whoever is sticking price tags on the merchandise they receive for free.
It's a thrift store, they seem to be decent with quality of items, I dont usually see or find trashy or broken items here. However alot of the items are very dated, but still useful. Some of the prices are a bit on the steep side for what they offer. Even though they offer deals on sticker colors, I feel like they forget it's a second hand / thrift store and price things like you would brand new. Over all my experiences here have been ok, and sometimes I can find a good deal. I hope others can too.
Great deals. For myself its a hit or miss finding treasures that I can use. Located in Felton on Hwy 9. Today I found a pair of jeans at 1/2 price. Blue tag. And a cute top. The thrift store has a big section of books, and dishes. They had 50% off of art and frames today. The toy section is good if you have little ones. A good variety of clothing as well. Outside in the parking lot you will notice a section that is all price at $1 each. Staff is always friendly when I shop here and helpful too. They sell furniture as well as bikes and tools.
Everytime we camp at Henry Cowell Campground, my husband always takes me here. Notice prices went up. But still better than regular store Lots of great buys. Looking for alternative swimsuits. Found Sports bra with more coverage n exerciser pants n shorts n nice dressy pants for another trip Bought a great quality shoes. I googled the brand ... leather .. expensive.. excellent price that I paid. Lots of great buys
The staff are generally not nice. The store is poorly organized. Donations are often rejected.
They re not a real electronics recycling location, only what they can resell and make money with. Waste of time.
I took me a trip to Abbott last Sunday. First, the drive down from Hwy 1 down a Bonny Dune Road was an unexpected experience. That road by its damn self needs a Google review. It felt like I was being tricked into a possible aliens abduction by google maps! It was an unexpected gorgeous drive into the mountains. Once I reconfirmed I was not being guided towards some Fire in the Sky shit I did low key hope a hot hillbilly man would have popped up asking me if I wanted to learn his ways ..Anywho, back to the thrift. The place is very large. They ve got an assortment of everything you would expect to find inside a genuine thrift shop. There was a lot of great art on the walls and in bins. This consisted of painted and prints. A healthy amount of glassware with some vintage added in too. Loads of cloths and then a lot of brick-brac. ( my fav ) Oh, they ve got a lot of books too which is one section I didn t get to on my trip but will for sure on the next. I eyed some vintage books. DVD s there too. At the time of this review they had their Halloween out as well. Saw some late 90 s home stuff out in this section. The prices are low and they have daily discounts on a lot of them. For fellow thrift/vintage hounds this one is great. The folks working there are honestly lovely. The whole place was just really cool. Go! It s worth the drive
They have everything. Absolutely everything.
I wouldnt go out of my way to go here. Really high prices and meh inventory.
AMAZING selection! Everything from clothes and home goods to books, outdoor and camping gear and more. Scored a wetsuit shortie for only $15
Amazing selection of clothes, shoes, and household items at reasonable prices. I have found many treasures at this store!
Id rather not tell you why I love this place because Id rather you didnt come and swoop on all the treasures I intend to swoop on. I mean, for example, like this incredible one thing... that I cant tell you about. So... never mind. But its one of the coolest one of those Ive seen. Just forget I ever mentioned it, K? A great section of... scarves. And... candleholders. And... um, paperweights. Used matches. Used lightbulbs for the DIY lightbulb repair people. Thats all you really need to know. The tools, musical instruments, furniture, mobility and physical assistance items, electronics and stereo components, bins full of power/USB/audio/video/HDMI/fiber and all sorts of cords and cables, multiple aisles of categorized books, glassware, cookware, flatware, crafting supplies, pet accessories (including equestrian items), small appliances, camping and outdoor gear, sports equipment, fabrics, lighting, collectables, games, and on and on... probably of little interest to you. Besides, who wants somebody elses used vintage stuff anyways, right?! Nonerheless, lets just go ahead and keep this to ourselves, Mkay? Mkay. Good talk. We never had it. Oh, but I do have to add an update here (Nov 2022): Apparently whoever *was* pricing the items no longer is, and the new person (if thats the case) is living a Neiman-Marcus lifestyle and thinks we should be, too. Prices, especially in certain departments like tools, have shot up to being often unreasonable. Books are still cheap, housewares are good (mostly), clothes still range from cheap to upper-end-reasonable. But the things I mostly shop for are often priced at nearly the same or just under what say Harbor Freight sells them for NEW, with a WARRANTY, and no missing parts. Its ridiculous. A medium size canvas Ryobi tool duffle bag - $15. A chain grip pipe vice without a mounting base - $59. A beat up extendable pole branch trimmer - $25. An old, dirty, beat up Harbor Freight shop dust collector without the canvas collection bag (necessary component) - $125... Theyre $160 new. You get the point. Theres still some good deals to be found, but its worth knowing the value of the same new items before falling into the price trap.
i have been going to this store since i was a kid. this store is always a pleasure to go into. i seem to get lucky pretty regularly! the staff are always very friendly. music is fun and less corporate than most thrift stores. unique selection of items and great bargains!
I usually take pictures of places like this, but I was too distracted and on the hunt for the possibilities of fashion treasures! Organized, tidy, and fairly priced. Found multiple items to upcycle my way.
always playing bobs burgers music and playing pokemon go in the middle of checking people out. i had to wait for her pokemon battle to be over so she could ring me out
Its quirky. You never know what youre going to find. I dont always find a treasure, but if you just need something basic and you dont want to buy new, Abbotts probably has what you need.
I am a life long organizer working with hundreds of volunteers. There are many places to donate goods. The man who accepts the donations during the week was so lukewarm, so dead, so unfriendly, so in a trance, I will decide to donate the next car load of good Gap cloths and high ended cloths to some other group. But then I looked at the reviews, apparently there is an attitude issue with a few people working there. I wish I had looked at reviews first, I would have donated elsewhere. The first contact in any non profit or organization is vital, as it represents the group. I also contact Project Purr. They responded in various words, thank you for thinking of us, so grateful, will go to help feral cats. They had been schooled or naturally able to generate common sense and understand how important it is to deal with people who are trying to help their cause. I bypassed that their church like almost all churches feels woman are unworthy of being ordained as priests or bishops, I as a liberation theologist, would never contemplate a church who sees women as less then, oh they have all the clever excuses why they are not allowed to advance, but in short it is called misogyny . If it was good enough for Jesus to be with Mary Magdala, as she was the apostle to the apostles, she was his favorite companion, it sure is good enough to let women advance up and not just be pregnant and cooking. I will donation to Project Purr to help kitties. The people accepting the donations are pleasant. A smile is thanks enough. If the dude is so valuable to the group, he should be put in the back where he has zero contact with the public, but then when I saw some workers seem to need prozac to be nice, I vote with my feet and depart.
I used to to love this place and go there weekly. The staff is still great and I still donate there. I m sure it s still worth going IF YOU HAVE HOURS TO SPEND sorting through the clothes. A few months ago something major changed. The back room staff stopped sorting the clothes. They just through all colors and all sizes in any old rack. I tried to talk to one of the main back room ladies, but she just shrugged her shoulders like who cares? My busy mom friends and I used to be able to pop in for thirty minutes during our kid s soccer or dance class and go right to the sizes we needed and find lots of stuff in a short time. Those days are over. You have to have hours go sort through thousands of shirts to find anything in your size or your kid s sizes. It s overwhelming and we just all drive over to Scott s Valley where they still sort their clothes racks. It s just easier. You can find five shirts and three pant in your kid s size in thirty minutes. I bet they are selling less clothes than they used to and don t even know why. I ve told the front cashiers too, who do seem to care, but nothing has changed. I will gladly update this review and give them five starts if they go back to sorting the clothes. We used to love shopping here, but who has that kind of time? And the size markers are still on the racks too, but they effectively mean nothing.
A bit pricier than the average thrift shop but they have great inventory.
I live in Ohio, but I have been to this place twice. They are near Santa Cruz, which I really like as a city. Ive bought some books and other stuff. I say they are good people
Found a great deal on kids books here.
It looked okay. No dogs allowed in this store.
Awesome selection, and great prices!
Abbotts thrift is the bees knees, Lucy is at the counter and all of your cool things are ready for the purchase all over the store all you have to do is open your eyes go through the front door and address the issue and go looking for that proverbial needle in the haystack chances are at Abbotts in Felton off of highway 9you will find it! With a smile on your face.
Really expensive prices on furniture. $59 for a cabinet with a locking door they probably dont even have the key to. Tried to bargain with them and make it worth both our whiles, but they were only willing to come down $9 and not even counter. Kinda a bad thrift experience in an otherwise nice store. Im not so sour they didnt accept my offer, but rather because they werent able to see reason that the price was way to high to start with. They probably got the piece for free, and itll probably sit there for years before they drop the price to actually sell it.
Youre gonna find something you like and its going to be a great price. More importantly, they have a kind old cat named Mama. Seriously though, huge selection.
Best organized thrift store ever. They have everything, and its cheap.
Great place! Wandered in because Id never been. Huge, well- sorted, well- priced. Clean. Some fantastic items! Need to go back.
Not what it used to be... They just did a slight rearranging of the store this past week and decided to mark everything up in price. The pricing on items was ridiculous. I was shocked at the prices on their items. Chipped broken items going for $10 when they were only worth a dollar or two at most. Old used tools without cords or batteries asking for almost full price of a brand new one. Not a thrift shop anymore. Definitely dont recommend and not going back. Plus I dont see where their profit goes to any charity aside from funding their church and painting their spires in gold. Support other local thrifts like goodwill or grey bears.
Just your typical thrift store
What a fun place. A wonderful second had store with a wide array of items for sale. Electronics clothing tools and a little furniture. Fun atmosphere many shoppers all having fun discovering treasures in the store. Recommend that you plan a shopping adventure there soon.
Awesome always. Always a great score somewhere at Abotts. Got a 300 jacket for 10 bucks. Typical. Update... still awesome.
They have a lot of neat antiques and great selection of books old and new. They have TVs at excellent prices
The thing about Abbots is it has everything you need and a good selection of it. Sometimes you may find something unusual and excellent, but you *will always* find good discounts on items with a lot of life left in them.
Friendly, sassy staff. You can definitely find some treasures in here if you know where to look.
Fun place to visit
One of the most organized thrift stores around.
I always find something I like. Very good place for thrifting, friendly workers, very eclectic selection of items.
Great place, with great prices and a well curated selection.
I really enjoy rooting through thrift stores. You never know what youll find. Abbots is well organized and clean with plenty of parking. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff are pleasant and helpful. They carry the standard thrift store stuff (clothing, tools, etc..) and they also have the occasional treasure. Great place for hunting!
I bought the most beautiful lamp @ 1/2 off! I also found the perfect end table for my new apartment. The gentleman that helped me was very nice too.
My very favorite place.
Over priced
Allways find what i need and they play great music while i look
Prices are fair. Customer service needs help. Very rude workers. They like to yell and make snotty comments to the customers.
Love this store!
Ive been shopping here my whole life, mom used to work here, awesome place owned and run by my church - St Lawrence next door - get a lot of pretty new, quality clothing and books here. Love shopping for books... really good prices :) friendly staff
This place is so cool and has so many fun things to look at and buy. Abbots is a thrifters dream.
Way overpriced.
Great local thrift store that always has weird Knick knacks. Gotta love it!
A wide selection if things you wanted and things you didnt want until you saw it. Friendly staff
You guys are the best. Thanks for being there and hats off to your workers today for handling a shoplifter with grace.
Always AMAZING finds for a steal !! : ))
They didnt have any clothes I liked. They have lots of stuff though. Lots of womens clothes.
Too expensive.
Friendly people, good selection, great prices, and a wonderful place to contribute to local schools and charitable organizations. They accept all kinds of clothing and household goods, all types of TVs and computer monitors, and all e-waste.
Awesome selection of clothes, shoes, electronics and much more!
Just horrible the staff are really really rude and they seem to have really bad attitudes when you try to talk to them and they have discrimination problems. Very unacceptable
I love this thrift shop. Theres a lot to look through. I really enjoy this thrift store.
Always an interesting place
Very friendly and helpful great front counter girl
Awesome second hand store! My family and I found lots of clothes, shoes, and bags! Will visit again if in the area!
Theres ALWAYS something I cant live without. Books, clothing, linens, housewares, furniture, jewelry and SO MUCH MORE! The store is always busy and its a community hub.
Lots of selections for clothes and housewares
Great thrift shop serving the local community
I used to Love shopping here and even worked here about 12 years ago.. The manager or man in charge was giving the cashier a break and working the front. He was extremely polite to the woman in line in front of me but when she paid and left- this man turned to me and was rude and very short with me. Even if somebody is having a bad day (which he wasnt) he was just judgemental and rude to me and I didnt deserve it. Not sure if Im going back there but I know he wont be in charge very long being unprofessional and not setting any example for other employees. It used to be a great friendly place I hope to have a better experience in the future.
no good clothes all of it is lame Christian whitw lady stuff thaat was probably previously owned by someone named Karen
Love the prices and the staff. Always clean and friendly.
Great second hand store. Always something to buy every trip!

Okay stuff but alittel over price
Lots of.variety of all kinds of things! Decent prices, some vintage clothes, records.
I was going to buy a fishing pole there but they wanted 60 dollars for an old used fishing pole, I went to K-mart they had a new nice fishing pole for 25 dollars they really need to work on priceing there donations
I think that Abbots is way too expensive for all of thier itaims . I spent $32.00 on four pieces of clothing. Theyre almost as bad as the Good Will. Thats a really bad place to shop at for any reason.
Didn t make it all the way in because the lady at the front was incredibly rude. She really went out of her way to be rude, my aunt was shocked and even said that she was rude and she smirked. She works on Thursdays mornings.
A decent Thrift store that has a pretty good selection of stuff. As far as pricing, well, each category seems to have its quirks. Clothes are about even with Goodwill. Always a bargain if you find something you like. Caps, shoes, bags, all good deals.Tools seem to be reasonable. Sporting and camping equipment is also pretty cheap. Bikes go back and forth, sometimes expensive, sometimes not. If you are into books or videos, well, no contest. Best selection, best organization and best prices anywhere. However, any kind of musical instrument or amp, keyboard and such will be way overpriced. Almost as if they dont want to sell them. Its weird. Some of their electronics are the same way. The thing is, you need to go into places like this every few days since the stock changes all the time. Ive bought many things from Abbots and Ive also donated many things to them. Im glad this store is there. Were lucky to have a place like this that is far enough away from Santa Cruz that its not picked over by students and has such variety.
Woman running register is two faced. One second nice, the next second evil.
Friendly staff, including a very sweet store cat
A good thrift store with a great collection of clothes and furniture. They have good $1 sales and some quality iteams.
It could be cleaner.there is a pretty good selection of everything the store staff is friendly. Can find pretty decent deals on things if youre in the mood to look around.
Big selection of clothing and general house stuff, some furniture. Excellent prices - a lot of housewares and decor priced below a buck - just the way thrift should be! Prepare to have to sift your way thru to the treasures. Shop cat is supercute but my allegies kicked in and I couldn t browse for hours the way I usually like to. Staff is great.
I always shop at Abbots first; they always seem to have what I need, and their prices are excellent! Their wonderful staff is friendly and helpful, too!
An almost overwhelming amount of stuff, but well organized. Staff is friendly. Prices are reasonable for used items in good condition, and staff will negotiate if you find an issue. A good place for used musical instruments and kids stuff (books, toys, clothes, shoes). Dont forget to peruse the furniture, toys, strollers, and other big stuff outside in front of the store!
Huge selection but most items are expensive and in pretty bad shape.
A great thrift, but a bit pricey.
I always find something cool here.
Love this store have gotten some really hot deals there. .
A man can scratch a car, assault a woman and take her phone in the parking lot. Staff just stand & watch, wouldnt even call 911. Will not be returning!
Cheap essential items. Good selection of just about everything you need.
Great deals, finds and a helpful friendly staff!
Nice place decent price
Love love love ABBOTS
Good stuff, prices, and deals!
Great little thrift store that has a bit of everything and always has fair prices. The staff are friendly and will even help you load up heavy items. I used to come to this place when it was a bowling alley back in the day
This place is The Best! Large selection of all items, totally fair prices & the manager is so awesome, its worth going there just to chat with her. I almost AlwayZzz find what I need, & definitely more!!
Favorite local thrift store! Good deals, always fun finds, well organized, friendly service and the obligatory thrift store cat (FYI for those with allergies).
Like any other thrift store, quality and selection vary from day to day. Ive found many great bargains over the years, plus the location is on a route I often travel.
Great thrift store for everyday things. Lots of clothes, furniture, books, tools and more. Very well organized and staff is helpful and friendly.
Ive been going to this store since opening, not so much after having moved out of county, yet each time I make my way to Felton I visit. Staff are ALWAYS friendly and helpful, and JoAnn at the register is not only very capable in her job but is genuinely interested in the people who share her home- San Lorenzo Valley. She sends you on your way with a smile on your face ready to pay this kindness forward! Thank you Abbots Staff! Dia.
Very nice place, cheap too
Great thrift with food stuff all the time.
We Love this place. Huge building filled with a lot of stuff. Great prices. If you cannot find what you are looking for, go outside, turn around and go back in. You will find it.
Tons of thrift items at fair prices. Clean and orderly store.
Lots of treasures! Well-organized, clean. My favorite place to bargain hunt.
Get deals who knows what products might pop up there
They have a great used book selection. I was disappointed that they didnt have much in the way of cooking wares, i.e. pots and pans. Good local thrift store.
Great people. Good place
Cool thrift store. Some things are over priced but thats what half off days are for.
Large verity of household items and clothes, most need cleaning. The building is an old Quonset hut buildng that was a bowling alley and it still has the bowling alley flooring.
Quirky fun thrift shop, has bathroom accessible
Great!
Love it.
Good location. Good bargains, pleasant staff.
Prices are a bit high for a lot of their selection but you can find hidden gems every once in a while. Great place for clothing if youre looking to get something and dont have a particularly vision in mind.
They have a lot of stuff.

Great people, fabulous set up and organization, and good pricing! What more do you need?
A little high in price, they look up on eBay everything and price it as a eBay price,. Hard to buy and resale anything from here.
love stopping in here to see what new interesting items they have
A good variety of things at very good prices.
Goldmine !! Read the board for specials
Fun place to shop...

I love everyone who works there. They are fun and kind.

Abbotts is the bomb! Love, love this store. Staff is great, they hang their pants to the side so you can read tags easier, have a great selection of kitchen ware. Books, crafts, clothes , furniture, you name it!
Occasionally awesome stuff regularly underwhelming. Only thrift store in Felton.
Ok not the best in town
You never know what you will find here. Very low prices.
This is a great thrift store. Many new items come in every day and there is very high inventory turnover and always something new. Prices are excellent, and you can find all sorts of valuable items for cheap prices. Lots of furniture, tools, toys and tons of books. You never know what you will find, and if you like thrift stores, this is a must-visit store.
Favorite thrift store hands down
