So much variety and the floor associate was VERY HELPFUL. I needed help identifying a 20amp GFI Circut breaker and he allowed me to make a confident purchase!
Frustration. That's how it's described. No one knows anything. They act like they're doing you a favor if you're lucky enough to find an employee. They rarely answer the phone, I guess in order to not have to answer any questions because they won't have an answer unless the customer does their job for them and supplies them with a part number. Then try and find a cashier! OMG!! here's another area where they expect to force the customer to do their jobs for them. Lazy, greedy, off-putting, and frustrating, that's how I describe Home Depo best.
Purchased a grill as Christmas gift to be assembled and delivered Delivery person noticed a scratch on it before he loaded and called right away to see if we wanted it or would be willing to wait for another one to be assembled The manager worked with me to ensure delivery happened within my desired time The were communicative and followed thru So thankful for great service
I rented a wood chipper from Home Depot, I learned some things and have some thoughts. I rented a wood chipper and a vehicle to tow it. Home Depot has a policy that you can only rent ONE piece of equipment at a time. So if you want to rent a piece of equipment and a vehicle to tow it, you need a manager override. Or a blessing from the Pope or an act of Congress - these things might be easier than the actual process. Managers seem very reluctant to grant this override. HD, please reconsider this policy. Secondly, the quality of help you receive at Home Depot varies wildly. My initial encounter for this task was Rudy. Upon encountering the need for a manager override for the multiple equipment rental situation, he started hollering to another associate, Luna, across the store. Luna was occupied helping another customer. Rudy kept yelling her name even though she was actively in the middle of lugging a piece of equipment across the store and speaking with another customer. Luna pauses, excuses herself from her customer, and comes over to help Rudy. She literally picks up the phone for him, calls a manager on his behalf, and explains why a manager override is needed. I am nominating her for sainthood. I feel agitated on her behalf, my mouth agape in disbelief. She returns to her customer, finishes getting them checked out. Rudy and I wait for a manager, override granted. Luna handles a few more customers as she graciously checks in on Rudy and prompts him to complete the transaction. This process takes about an hour and degrades my sanity. I planned to rent the chipper for a 24 hour period and return the vehicle with the 75 minute rental window and then grab the van the following day to return it. Gentle reader, brace yourself - this is a radical plan. Traffic was terrible on the way to return the vehicle, so I was going to run over the 75 minute time. I called in and, lucky me, got Rudy on the phone to ask what the charges are after 75 minutes. He has no idea and is unable to find out. He recommended I call back and ask Luna whenever she was available. No idea when that might be. I am assuredly the first to ask this question. Fast forward to return day. I head up to rent the same vehicle so I can tow the chipper back. Rudy is there to help, how lucky can I get? I introduce myself, give him the contract for the chipper, remind him that he helped me rent the chipper and tow vehicle, and that he is going to need to get a manager for an override. He nods like he remembers me and the process. Luna is unavailable, solving another problem. Let the games begin. Rudy calls over another associate who is not part of the tool rental department and she calls a manager for him. He fails to tell her that I have rented this same vehicle before and this is a repeat process. The manager asks why an override is needed, she tells the manager that I already have a piece of equipment out. The manager indicates that he will not override as that is the policy. My sanity frays. I bring this new player up to speed and she understands how HD has a chipper that is stranded at my house. She calls a different manager and gets him to come over. Rudy sits by, no concept that he is the least helpful human on the planet. Manager arrives- I speak with him directly and an override is granted. Over an hour has now passed since my initial arrival to rent a return vehicle. Rudy, eventually finishes the paperwork and sort of vaguely points me in the direction of the vehicle. My sanity is depleted. I return the vehicle and chipper. Luna receives the return vehicle and understands without missing a beat the chaos endured. She validates my frustration, apologized for the inconvenience and applies a discount. So 5 stars for Luna, maybe 6. She carries a lot of weight. 1 star for Rudy - seriously do better. 1 star for the policy of not permitting by default a towable piece of equipment and a vehicle to tow it. 1 star for efficiency 5 stars for the equipment - both the chipper and tow vehicle were in good working order, performing as expected.
Had a salesman come tell us about bathroom remodeling options. He was openly racist towards Spanish speakers thinking we would agree with him for some reason. Then after we were asking some questions and not being sure about the bathroom options he became very angry and aggressive with my grandparents. This was the most bizarre customer experience i have ever had. He was an old Italian man. I only know he was Italian because he kept making a point of it. He was very racially focused it seemed. After we spent around 20k doing the bathroom they had caused a bit of damage. They tried to say they didn't do it and wouldn't cover it even though they obviously did. I had been very careful documenting their every step with pictures and dates and so was able to hold them accountable. Do not trust these people or who they work with. If you buy from them watch their every move.
Staff were helpful and courteous. They had to lift a pallet from the top shelf which meant closing a main isle . This was obviously a serious inconvenience but they all did it professionally, efficiently and cheerfully.
It's been over almost 2 months, and I finally found my receipt, Monique Conklin ( Kitchen & bath) went above and beyond expectations when I asked for help about a sink and vanity I needed to replaced. I don't know anything about that, just did my research online but once I got to the store she really took care of me, she walked with me to all the things I needed to complete the project and guided me through the car rental service as well( since it was not going to fit in my car). She helped with the checkout as well since I was having trouble with the military discount. I am so glad for her guidance. She was very patient and answered all my questions, and double-check with the specially of every department. I am so glad I found her. If you don't even know where to start, don't worry, this store will take care of you.
Well stocked. I already knew what I wanted going in, so the only interaction I got with an associate was with the cashier, and she was friendly, quick, and helpful. I like their setup for tuff sheds in the eastern part of the parking lot. Some of the tuff sheds are locked, and some you can walk inside and look around.
I can not answer this question due to conflict of interest.
Friendly and very helpful
Good lumber prices
Meh.. where else you going to go.
These guys or over the top helping in every way they could. Got my project done in a timely fashion. Thanks guys exclamation point
Charge 75 bucks to deliver 8 blocks away cause she a girl a lady a woman why is it both major stores do you treat your wife like that are your daughters like that
Clean
In and out got what I need
Had my best Home Depot experience yet so many helpful people and was able to get in and out so quickly!
Never again. After having spent $4,000.00 on new kitchen appliances, I attempted to return/exchange my un-used, too-big (standard depth) LG refrigerator, in order to purchase the correct (counter depth) unit. The appliance dept. person told me that because the item had been in my possession for over 48 hours, they would not take it back. Even though, it had sat in my garage until that very morning prior to installation. Due to HDs policy, they have lost a long-term customer, who has spent untold thousands of dollars at their stores over the years. Ive also related my experience to others, in hopes that they will avoid Home Depot at all costs. Its sad, really, as HD is such a large corporation, taking my refrigerator back would not have affected their bottom line one iota.
They just dont let you put a lunch box outside so the Home Depot would have everything for the worker.
Understaffed. But they all are. They get 5 stars because minimum wages is CA are ridiculously high (driving up the cost of EVERYTHING) so most stores can only afford to be understaffed. It sucks. It is what it is. Vote red.
Just some constructive from One of your nearly every day customers as a contractor. Please have the front end employees take control over the line up to the self check out terminals people are constantly lining up in different areas cutting the line unintentionally creates conflict among the customers we are looking to be guided to lineup properly, and proceed through the checkout process in an orderly fashion. Thank you.
Decent variety. Usually able to find what we need. Short staffed and rarely can we find a team member to get assistance.
As a Pro member I am shocked that at 4:30pm on a Tuesday afternoon there is only one Pro service associate to assist. I ve been waiting for 43 minutes and have watched MANY other Home Depot associates stand around and not doing much of anything. Unfortunately HD is the most convenient place to shop for my customers so I m limited with options. But this management of customer service is truly sad.
A young woman at self checkout claimed my husband and I to be drunk or on drugs when we offered to help a couple out to their vehicle. The way she treated my veteran husband who helped them load concrete into their car after all, was a friggen hate crime LOL. Good luck for hiring the woke, Home Depot. And please get that long haired, mouthy, girl, out of self check out.
Great DIY garden, hardware, appliances, construction, tool, home store...
I wish I could give them a zero star had made an order with them but they said that the San Marcos store was going to provide my order but they kept on rescheduling my order over and over never got a courtesy call I had to call them every time my order did not arrive I wasted extra money to have my workers wait for my order bad service taking my business back to LOWES management seem to not care the just blame the other store but if I made the order with this store they should be responsible but no just blame everyone expect yourself worst Homedepot ever
Very helpful staff!!! The gentleman who made our keys was extremely attentive to detail and friendly. The young man who helped us check out was funny and helpful. Clean store.
Tool department now has a third party app that you need to share your personal information before you can rent anything. To protect your self supposively. So that no one can come and rent tools with your ID and fake your Identity. Wait so Home depot Employees are supposed to check your ID when you rent any tool. So now I have to share my personalized information with another company so I can rent a tool from Home Pepot because home depot Employees cant do their job? Funny. If this app get hacked Home Depot will just blame them right. Shame on home depot for this. I had enough. Ontop of this, Bradley the supervisor that runs this department is clearly undertrained. I rented a tool that did not work when I arrived at the job site. I brought it back and it turned out there way a lose cable/wire. Mr. Bradley goes right on the defensive and says Thats user error I cant give you your money back best I can do is give you a 10% discount. I asked to talk to a manager and he calles Javi. I asomed Javi will have better training better customers services skills. Nope! Javi is just as defensive and unreasonable as Bradly. How can it be a user error if there is a wire or a cable missing from a pice of equipment you rented. Both of this guys need better training. I will be contacting Denise soon about their behavior. Hope to hear from corporate soon as well.
Places is always giving the runaround wasting my time running back-and-forth Milwaukee rep went ahead and approved. The sale even gave me a free hat because I was gonna do the purchase because I wanted to enjoy the stereo for the weekend. Home Depot, for whatever reason did not sell the product, which makes no sense why they would lose out. So much for being for the people. Here s a photo verifying of what the price was showing online and I requested to make the purchase online and pick up in-store, but then they kept denying at the product was an in store even though I had it in my hands.
Closed at an unreasonable time. Its not even 9pm yet!
One of the best home depot workers you can get there
Another store that I enjoy attention shoppers make sure when you buy something from this or any other store make sure you put your receipt in your pocket, wallet or purse for the women so that the receipt pickers (in the parking lot) dont pick up your receipt go in the store then take the same product off the shelf and return to customer service for $ lets put these people out of business
Home Depot has been an indispensable resource as Ive tackled redoing almost every room in my house. Their vast selection of supplies and tools perfectly caters to DIY enthusiasts like myself. The staff is always willing to lend their expertise and help find exactly what I need, which makes navigating the wide array of options much easier. Its true that the store can become quite busy with long lines on weekends, but the amenities they offer, like truck and tool rentals and complimentary lumber cutting services, more than make up for the wait. Whether youre a seasoned DIYer or just starting out, Home Depot provides great value and support.
Jacob F. Was very helpful
I ve been in the store for 20 minutes looking for an employee and every time I see one I asked for help those so they ll send someone no one comes. It s really aggravating and when you have a handicap and trying to get in and out of the store is ridiculous calling it is ridiculous. They want to know your order number or something else to give you two choices to pick is so frustrating
I Love Garden Center.
Went in a week prior to get some cinder blocks. There were none on the shelf inside the store. Which seems to be a very common theme with home depot across the board. I returned today and saw they had full pallets of them out front. The clairemont location has them for individual sale out front so I figured it would be the same. The other thing is there is a per one block price over the outdoor ones at this location as well. After I load over 20 of them, an employee comes and asks what im doing and that they sold the outdoor ones by the pallet, and that he would check to see if there were any on the shelf. There were 20, which was not enough. I unloaded the ones I had and put them back myself and then he said I could take from them if needed. It was a huge waste of time and gas. Thanks home depot for the sub par service once again.
Love the home building stores
I Love To Garden And They Have Everything You Need to Garden.
Reliable home Depot that has met every need Ive come across. They have a great outdoor section and equipment rental. Unlike other Home Depots in the area plenty of parking and not a lot of loitering or people fixing cars in the parking lot.
I love this store. I always find what I need quickly and the staff is helpful and knowledgeable. I had a bad drain clog in the shower that I wasn t able to unclog with the usual means and was considering calling a plumber, but this guy in the plumbing section asked a bunch of questions and recommended me a $20 plumbing pipe snake that did the trick and totally unclogged the drain without any other issues. His helpful advice saved me probably $200.
Good location
Always go to home Depot. The staff is always helpful. The store is always well stocked .
Such a bad customer service, specially a employee her name is Jessica I was waiting for help more than 30 minutes and after that she told that we can go to Lowes.. I will never shop at this location
Employees at the garden center were of great help.
Best online shopping experience
Called five times to speak with an associate about blinds no answer, unbelievable last time I went to the store there was so many employees but no one offers help !! I called the other Home Depot o. W valley pkwy and phone was answered right away.
Like any other Home Depot, it has what you need in a hardware store. But this specific location is very near to a Walmart, and many food options. It s near Ross, near an Albertsons. And sometimes it becomes a deciding factor for me to go to this Valley Parkway East Home Depot instead of the Valley Parkway West.
Had to get a fitting for my new dryer they were very helpful in helping me get the right part
Youll be waiting in long lines to checkout with little to no help or organization. And after you checkout youll be waiting for the people in front of you to finish before you can walk out the exit doors because theyve shut off access to go anywhere else.
I am starting up a New Girl Scout Brown Troop. When you first start up, your troop has on funds. I was in need of some padding to have the girl make their sit upons for them to sit on in our Brownie circle. Chuck donated enough carpet padding for each of out girls sit upons. Thank you Chuck your the best!!!
Exactly what u would expect
Its one of the best Homedepot stores in SD County
You can find just about anything you need for DIY. Staff are always happy to help.
Not too crowded Cust service was friendly
Got the best rug for my living room
Super expensive and they jacked up their prices. I went there and tried to get wood cut. $15 for 1 plywood. Took 30 minutes for them to say they had 1 person capable of cutting 3 pieces of wood. I have also been there when they needed a forklift, which I had to come back the next day because no one had a forklift license at the time. When I came back it took 4 hours to lower a pallet of bricks. Home Depot needs to train their employees so they are capable of helping customers. The amount of extra time it took was ridiculous.
Easy in and out. Staff pretty helpful and found what I was looking for fairly easy. Neighborhood is not my favorite though.
Dave helped me find just what I needed.
I would like to say Adrian and Amanda were so patient and helpful with the return of a Rheem tankless water heater. Although the water heater was under warranty, Rheem just gave us l the run around plus Rheem had the wrong address and name on the warranty . Amanda and Adrian spent at least an hour straightening out Rheem s errors and Home Depot gave us a full refund so we could purchase a new water heater from another maker. Thank again, ADRIAN and AMANDA for all your work and patience!
Friendly helpful service
Love to roam around.
They have some good deal, and the worker really help when you ask for help.
Home Depot has a generous policy that allows you to return expired greenery for up to a full year, as long as you save the receipt. To be more specific, the policy states that flower bushes, succulents, and houseplants, qualify for a return within 90 days of delivery date or date of purchase in-store. As for perennials, trees, tropical plants, and shrubs, the return period lasts up to a year. Maya, in returns doesnt support this policy.
Your garden shop has deteriorated drastically: 1. No misters or fans so it is not a pleasant experience 2. You now have to have your phone with you so you can scan how to care for the plant. A big problem here 3. Absolutely no one on site that knows anything about plants 4. Bad layout so you can t push carts thru the aisles without dumping plants over 5. By by Homedepot. You really should take a few lessons from El Plantio which cost the same, and is a most enjoyable experience not to mention smart, plant savy people . The only positive thing I can say about HD gardens is the cashiers, even with sweat pouring down their face, are jolly and oh so friendly especially the elderly blond one.
After visiting another Home Depot, then Lowes, this other mHome Depot had what I needed.
Waited forever to get someone to help us. I wound up having ma daughter go find someone to help us
This location needs help. The employees seem a little bit underwhelmed, by that I mean they dont seem happy. Ive been to other home depots that were great.
Jessica at the pro desk was awesome. She was very helpful, and very patient. She has a great attitude.
Its a Home Depot.
Enough cashiers so I was able to get in and out
It is about the only place left in town where I can park my motorhome. Ive been in my motorhome permanently, for many years all of a sudden since the pandemic towns have made new laws and rules against being in them at night. So far home Depot has been a good sport about overnight parking.
This review is for Shelby in Customer Service. She has the cute little chain on her glasses. She is amazing and helpful. She is super personable and empathetic. She deserves a raise.
Very bad customer service.i only shop Lowes now
As always love walking around just looking at what they have to sale and make sure to look in the discount shelfs see what they are trying to get rid of, but do you need a story ? Everybody loves Home Depot and Im sure you have your own story to tell..Home Depot thats the place to be
Despite the deceptive name declaring this place to be the home of the pot it does not carry any marijuana products. Still, it does have a lot of useful tools and construction materials .
Too good
Lots of help and good supply
Very helpful people.
I live near by and have been shopping here for 20 years +. If your a military be sure to get your 10% discount when shopping. And check the website for discounts on products you looking for.
Frequently misses same-day deliveries with no notification at all.
As always HD has so much stuff. The employees here are the best. They really help so much to find things
nice
Always ready to serve you with a good attitude
Wood and cement
Cleanest bathrooms in escondido.
I have no complaints at all. As always everyone was helpful and courteous. I rented a truck for 2 days and the price was better than those other guys who rent trucks by far.
Very stocked and very friendly
Love there garden section .. they have such great deals and can price match
Tried to find the skillsaw worm drive saw they dont have it, many stores are changing over to cordless powered saws and nailers drills ECT, but for most things depot still is a good place to shop for building materials.
Helpful staff, good experience.
Nice market
Okay so this place is great except for they change their policy on exchanges if you do not have a receipt dont bother taking it in I repeat if you do not have a receipt do not take it in because they will not give you store credit they will not do anything for you unless you charge it on your credit card your Sol
Close by the area if one home Depot doesnt have u can check this one
The worst customer service Ive ever had.
Always knowledgeable staff, help with a smile! Friendly staff
Best store you can get everything you need .
Thanks for letting the fur babies join in on the shopping
Only big box store to carry fire bricks in North San Diego County. Used to finish our pizza oven.
Very nice people, they need more staffing for sure
I may be a woman. But I like shopping there. Their employees are always very helpful if you need help. Yes I usually do. My Dad liked it. My husband really liked going in there witch is why I think I luke it so much because he always ask me to go with him. And he always was a very good teacher to me and our 2 children I was married to this amazing man for 40 years I lost him almost 3 years ago. Sorry I didnt intend to say all that. Being I did hed be celebrating his 70th birthday Sept 2. Maybe thats why I said things I didnt intend to. But I really do like Home Depot and Ive to allot of Home Depots and they always have had good employees and always whatever we went there for. I recommend Home Depot to everybody its coed these days.
Great store. Shop here everyday for work!
Great store, but the big electrical contractors always buy out a lot of the electrical stock and I wind up spending too much time having to figure out other ways of doing my job and unusually theyre out of some of the materials I need to do the job anyways. Other than that, I shop there pretty much every day.
Nice and clean. Flower selection was going through seasonal changes so inventory wasnt great but the plants looked very healthy and well taken care of. Will return later in the season.
Good
ETA: Thank you Evil Queen, Robin! She was understanding, helped us and even went with us to find what we needed! Youre amazing!
Done with HD forever. I bought 3 different, successively expensive mosquito killers, making trip after trip. NONE worked. On the 4th wasted trip I lost receipt. They recognized their own product but still would not pay refund. Only useless to me store credit. Would nor trust them again after so much wasted time and money. 3 hours of gas too.
Great customer service Saul H thanks for answering all questions and helping me out with all tools that are needed thank you again hope Saul H gets recognize
Took 30 mins for my online order pickup very disorganized
I loved it everything is in its place and I always find what I need, thank you
Come on! Home depot, is Hone depot
Stock was low have to order online
Same home depot as always, you can find what you need, pricy but ok
They have items that are supposed to be 50% off but when I checked out it didnt show. I asked for help and they would just pass me on to the next worker. No help at all !
Took the time to assist
Clean and friendly
The service helped right away and told us exactly where to go. When we were self checking out, a worker gave each of our kids self-built kits for free. My kids were so elated that they kept thanking him. On the way out, customers saw how much my kids had gratitude they had for the worker. It really made everyones night!
Some times it seems like I live here.
Rarely have all parts needed..when managers ordered parts used to be ok now computers order parts.
I love Home Depot, shop there often
I love my box cutters
I like going to Home Depot except when they close an aisle the people there are not so friendly
Helpful
Good service
Nice peace and relaxing merrychristmas too. ALL.
Being a traveler in a motorhome,I frequently shop the Depot for hardware and tools. In the cutting department theres usually a wagonload of curled wood that is offered at 70%off. Most of my modifications originate here. The people are always helpful and courteous, and the 70% discount is very helpful.
Nice staff. Typical Home Depot.
Nice plant pots available Hardware place
I love going here. Friendly, mostly knowledgeable, and great pricing. They also offer military discount 10% every day.
Its a home depot like all the others, its hit or miss working with the staff. Some wonderful people in the appliance department helped us a lot, really made our day
Often understaffed. Hard to find a cart, many carts sitting around with items piled for restocking, etc... The staff that were there were helpful.
This place is always a mess . Hard to find products and never any help
Home Depot rocks.
Allways a great experience! XMAS STUFF IS HERE.. YAY. Oven cleaner and BED BUG KILLER!!!!!
90 percent of what you need 100 percent of the time.
Thank you very much for the good service that Héctor and Kara gave us, as well as another lady who helped us solve our problem, even though it was not in this store, they took the time to help us better than in the store that appreciated our purchase, excellent work. Excellent service, very friendly, Kara although she did not speak Spanish, she did her best for helping us, thank you very much
My 2year old Pug, Chuco, loves to go walking around at home Depot. He loves people and other dogs.
Good store, easy to get around. They have a pretty good selection of merchandise in all of the departments. I had several employees come up to me and ask if I needed any help finding anything. I had already found everything I needed and was just browsing around but it was nice to see them on the ball and ready to help. The store is in a pretty easy location to find and easy access from main roads.
Home Depot is like my Hobby Lobby. I have been going to this Home Depot for over 16 years even though I have another Home Depot, Harbor Freight, and a Lowes in the area. Great customer service and easy to buy and return things. Obviously, with amout of employees, they have your bound to catch someone having a bad sooner or later. Overall, great staff and business.
Well stocked, good location
Has everything you are looking for. 10 star,s for their new moving boxes. Heavy duty. Love home Depot of Escondido California. Valley Parkway .
He received me very friendly and helpful!
