Midas in Dublin

I brought my 2020 Chevy Equinox here for A/C compressor replacement, spark plugs, and an oil change. While the service was completed on time, I later discovered I was charged significantly above market rates — including $62 per spark plug and $949 for the A/C compressor part, both of which are far higher than OEM retail pricing. I signed an estimate but was never informed of the steep part markups or given a chance to explore more affordable options. If I had known, I would have waited for lower-cost parts. When I raised these concerns, management stood by the pricing and declined to offer any adjustment. I’d recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to major services here, especially when it comes to part costs. Update: funny thing is that the franchise left a comment under this review saying they want to help and provided a link to the form that I have already filled and submitted previously. Clearly they do not care about the customer satisfaction

Broke down on a Friday at 5:15 in the morning on 680 and was stranded almost 50 miles from home near Dublin on our way to a dog show in Yolo County. AAA suggested Midas of Dublin who would give me a labor discount because of their partnership with AAA. Eddie at Midas of Dublin quickly diagnosed the problem as the alternator and he tried but they couldn't finish the repair that day. He promised to do everything he could to have the car fixed the next morning in time for us to make it to the show ring the next day. Eddie had Amanda, the woman at the front desk, arrange for an Uber to get me and my 2 dogs home for the night. Then Amanda put the Uber App on my phone for me and gave me wonderful instructions on what I needed to do to book an Uber to get us back in the morning INCLUDING giving me her home phone number in case I had any problems booking the return Uber. The next morning Uber dropped us at Midas and the car was ready in time for us to get to the 2nd day of the show and my youngest dog took Winner's Dog in the ring both Saturday and Sunday. I can't say enough about the people at Midas of Dublin, they went above and beyond to take care of me, my car and my dogs The service was top notch and they made me feel so safe in a scary situation and were very gracious about letting my dogs wait with me inside the office.

The test took a minute and cost 40 dollars, which is really not cheap. The reason why I came to Midas again is that my previous branches in other cities were very honest, and the testing fee was free. Then the clerk sent me the quotation immediately. The total amount of parts and labor replacement is more than 1,000 US dollars, which is nothing. It's just that I went to another car repair shop and verified that this was not a fault that had to be replaced. I went to O'reilly auto parts company for verification again. They also helped me test for free, and the result was that there was no need to replace the parts. Everything is normal! Then a few days passed, and everything was normal!

I have been going to Midas , Dublin for almost 10 years and they always do a great job on all my cars. Especially Junior is an awesome person to deal with. Explains the issue in detail and helped me to take the right call.

I needed new brake pads and they did a really good job at explaining what work needed to be done. I had requested an appointment earlier today and they got back to me quickly. They also got the job done really fast and overall the customer service was great!

I get my car serviced at Midas, Dublin, for over a decade now. It’s always pleasant experience. Had 100k service done recently and had fantastic experience. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, clearly explaining the needed repairs and keeping me updated throughout the process. The service was completed on time, and my car runs like new! I appreciate the attention to detail and excellent customer service. I will definitely return for future maintenance and recommend them to others!

I called in to inquire about AC diagnostic and repair. The gentleman who answered was really friendly and welcoming about what they offer. Around $80 for diagnostics is not too high for Dublin area. An update after I took my car; After the diagnostics, I got a repair estimate of $2,000.00. I had to cancel after getting an update from my team and was charged a cancellation fee because the crew had already taken few parts off after I had told them to proceed. I consulted with another technician and told me to purchase refrigerant and fill up. I paid $50 to buy a canister of compatible refrigerant and AC is working well.
