Glassblowing for the people! Locally owned and the only publicly accessible glassblowing studio in the Santa Cruz area, we offer classes and workshops for beginners through more experienced students. For the glass curious we have the "glass experience", a mini-workshop that requires no prior knowledge of glass. Join us in our funky and divine hot shop, nestled in the village of Davenport (just 10 minutes above Santa Cruz) and make something beautiful with hot glass. Such a cool experience! My husband and I originally signed up for the "Make a Glass Pumpkin Hot Glass Experience" in November, but had to reschedule due to illness. Chris and his time were flexible and kind, and allowed us to reschedule in March. We made two items and were guided through the process. Highly recommend!
We booked this glassblowing experience for our anniversary and it may be one of our favorite memories of all time. We watch Blown Away on Netflix but have never tried glassblowing ourselves, so we decided to search for one. THIS IS IT! Chris does an amazing job at explaining the intricacies of glassblowing, and we learned so much! He provided a good balance of guiding us while letting us do the work. My husband chose a more complicated shape for his first time, with additional colors and techniques, but Chris was supportive and professional. We are definitely coming back for another experience to do it again. Additionally, he has finished glass products which he sells. We came across a strawberry he made and we are obsessed with it.

Chris Johnson's Hot Glass Experience is a lot of fun! We were a group of 10 and they thankfully were able to accommodate us. Chris and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. We would love to come back!
My friend bought us Chris Johnson's glass blowing class on Groupon for my birthday. It was such a great experience. We ended up with 2 gorgeous ornaments each. Chris was very patient with our noviceness. Overall it was very interesting. I would highly recommend.
My 13 year old grandson and I had an awesome time learning about the art of glass blowing. The hands on experience was awesome. We worked with Tyler who is a patient, funny, excellent teacher. It was a pleasure to work with him and meet Chris, who patiently answered questions from my younger grandson who observed us. I highly recommend this experience-it is one you will enjoy and never forget!
Chris Johnson Hot Glass experience was Amazing. Chris and staff were very knowledgeable and helpful through entire process. Took my wife and 12yr old son and they had a great time. This will be a memorable experience in our life. Would definitely recommend experience 100%!
A fun, interesting, and creative experience for us. We loved it! The staff was very nice, gave us lots of information, and helped us feel safe and confident. We chose to make hearts and we love them. The experience was a fantastic gift from our kids. Highly recommend this.
