i was completely scammed by this place very disappointing people seemed so nice and helpful and actually exploited my scrambled post accident thinking if there were minus stars they d get a lot of them they have replied they don t remember any problems. Their tow truck driver convinced me to send my car to their shop by telling me he worked for AAA, and that they would help with the deductible. I should have seen through it right then but i was - clearly- not thinking straight. He does not work for AAA and made ultimately releasing the car to them very very difficult they didn t work on it because i realized - a bit late - that i d made a very bad judgement call from which AAA ultimately rescued me more disappointment - the shop told me 80% chance it would be totaled. I ve learned the repairs will be easy under blue book and was definitely repairable

My car Tesla got into an accident. CHP called AE Motors for towing. Omar and Alex were very nice and professional. I was continually informed about the status of my car which was totaled in the accident. They coordinated with the insurance also. Interesting thing was that after accident the car could not be charged, hence could not be opened. Alex and his team knew of technicalities, jump started the battery so the doors opened. Alex personally helped me retrieve all my belongings from the damaged vehicle. Nice folks. Thanks. Highly recommend.

These guys are awesome. Needed some work done urgently with a road trip upcoming on a 2014 Suburban and they fit us in last minute. Not only were they super quick to get multiple items fixed and repaired, but they were super nice and incredibly fair priced. I even tried to tip them because I was so appreciative for their efforts to help me and they wouldn t take it. Pretty hard to be reviewed five stars with almost 200 ratings; you d imagine someone had a less than stellar experience, but now I get why these guys are five stars. Great experience. I was having issues with my battery not starting(1yr old battery) and initially was told by another auto shop that I had an alternator problem. Luckily they did not have the part so I had to go to another auto shop which is why I came to AE motor towing. Every interaction whether it was by phone or in person was exceptional. After leaving my car at the shop they realized that it was not actually an alternator problem but another car part that needed to cleaned. Their integrity shaved me money. I have been afraid to go to auto shop because it can be challenging as woman sometimes. But today, I had an awesome experience at this place. The team were very nice and humble. The owners of this shop Omar and Alex are both very honest and they always render 5-star service at a very reasonable price. Most repair shops Id been in the past, including the dealership, are so dishonest and their charges are ridiculously unreasonable for a simple repair that they will describe to you as difficult.

I dont typically write reviews, but I really wanted to share the positive experience that I had at AE Motors recently. I brought them a vehicle with an evaporation system leak. They were able to diagnose the issue (smoke machine) and fixed it. I was really impressed with how reasonable the cost for this was. Im pretty sure it could have been much more expensive somewhere else. Even more importantly, I found Alex and Omar to be genuine, honest, straightforward and trustworthy. Ill definitely be returning to them in the future. In case you are looking for a mechanic, the other reviews of AE Motors here on Google are legit!

they stripped my spark plugs holes and did not gap my sprarkplugs correctly, now I need a whole new cylinder head. a shop that cannot do a simple job like sparkplugs should not be trusted for anything. when I tried to contact them about this, they never answered.

Took my car there because it couldn t start they figured out the problem and charged me for an hours work.

This shop is out of this world. They re so helpful, straightforward, and they do the WORK RIGHT! I m a girl and sometimes shops like to take advantage of me, NOT HERE. I told them what I thought was going on with my car, they checked it in 20 mins (not 2 hours like this other shop said how long it would take) and told me that I was right and fixed it in 45 mins and drove it around to make sure everything was working correctly. I bought more parts than needed and he told me we didn t need to change it, and to return it and get my money back. Just exceptional service. Honest people here!! They have amazing customer service, and always fit me in ASAP. I m so glad I came here due to the other reviews. This is definitely the only mechanic shop I will go to. A+++++ Definitely a mechanic shop and experience!

My car died after shopping at Costco. I have to wait till after hours to contact AAA. AE Motors came to rescue. Though already late at night, they responded in a timely manner. Omar came with the tow truck, very new, by the way. He was courteous, very professional, and operated the towing decisively and efficiently. I was more than pleased with their performance, and definitely recommend their service to anyone who needs towing.

There are three characters a mechanic should have: 1) reliability when your car needs fixing; 2) knowledge of their trade; and 3) honesty of what needs to be done. I was very happy with the brake change, very good job.

I had a bad experience with a previous shop that serviced my vehicle. Been there for several times for an oil change until and I sort of trust them until I went to check my oil about couple of months after to find out that all those times they actually didn t do anything on my car. The oil was black and the oil filter element had actually disintegrated that me skeptical of going to a shop and just for an oil change. I went back to find that the were out of business. Good riddance!!! But this time I needed a transmission fluid change and didn t want to do it myself so I started looking for a shop obliviously with good reviews and found AE. Alex was really a great and honest mechanic. He did my fluid change and found that my dipstick was missing and the dipstick tube was actually damaged, of course by the previous shop. He charged me for the fluid change but made me come back for him to install a new dipstick tube and a dipstick at no extra charge for the labor. This shows that Alex just wanted to make his customer happy. Great great guy!!! Thank you Alex

After relying on these reviews for having my 1995 Honda Civic serviced here (broken timing belt), I further support what everyone has positively said about ALEX & OMAR. Although I ended up extremely lucky with a recoverable engine after a new timing belt, they already warned against losing money on a big gamble. In other words, there was no deceptive pressure to use their services. Their genuinely warm communication is prompt and upfront without any irritated rush. This is especially appreciated alongside great pricing and what seems is their habit in performing ahead of schedule. Hard-working gentleman with class attitudes. It has been my joy.

Brought my car in for an issue with my wiper fluid not spraying. Had others check the hoses (they were clear and not blocked) and even went as far as having someone try to replace the fluid pump before bringing it in to this mechanic. Responsive and able to check the car right away and found the issue and fixed it in about two minutes. Cannot say enough good things about this mechanic, and will be bringing my car here first for anything else that pops up.

I went in to get a car checked out before buying. It was a 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid and they gave me a comprehensive run through of the vehicle and battery life expectancy. The initial service was affordable to begin with but by the time I was done they said to not even worry about paying this time. I will definitely bring my car back here!

This shop if one of very few in the bay area who perform brake and lamp inspections the DMV requires, so I was lucky to find them. A Cesar and Alex are very friendly and fair. The inspection didnt take long and most importantly, I passed! Will recommend this place to others.

I had a great experience with AE Motor Towing and Auto Repair. My BMW 5-Serie scar broke down near their shop and so had to make an unscheduled visit. Alex and his team promptly diagnosed the issue, parts they would need to fix, time it would take, and the cost (which I felt was reasonable). Alex also offered to drive me home if needed. I went to AE motors auto repair because my 2011 GMC Terrain failed the smog test. The tech gave a code p0402. To make a long story short, I spoke to Luis andd told him about my dilemma. He said let me check and proceeded to look at my car. After about 10 minutes , he said we need to replace the catalytic converter and gave me a quote. I like the guy with straight up quote without any hesitation and besides it seems like the price is fair. He told me I will order the parts and come back tomorrow. So I came back in the afternoon and he said you have to live the car overnight and I will have it ready by tomorrow. I asked him, can you give me ride back home and readily say no problem. Luis is kind and very professional. Straight up guy. So, the day after the car is ready and show me the parts the he replaced. Very honest guy. I did not even asked to show me the old parts. After making payment, he said drive the car for 150 to 200 miles and bring it back to me before having thr smog test done again. I did came back after 2 weeks and he look at the car and said it is good to go. It should have not have a problem passing the test. Let me know what happen and wish me good things. This small business car repair shop (AE MOTORS) are highly recommended. They are honest and kind and very professional. If I can give give 10 stars might not be sufficient enough. That is how fair they are. Shout again to again to Luis. Oh, by the way he said every time you fill up make sure the cap is tightly closed. Possibly why the evap in the tester is showing. This is the most helpful and responsive mechanic. My car suddenly broke during my day trip to SF and they were able to get my car back to me the very next day. I explained I needed my car the next day to get back home and they accommodated my needs even though they were busy. First let me say, AE Motor is probably one of the best auto repair shop in the Peninsula. They weren t expecting me but they MADE ME THEIR PRIORITY. I felt safe and in good hands with this shop. Needed electrical work on a Miata...left turn signal didnt work, also the horn and brake lights were out (if your horn goes out, it may be that the fuse burned out and then your brake lights also go out. Does everyone know that?) AE gave me a free estimate within two hours, then got the work done in another two hours. 100% better service than my neighborhood auto repair on Ocean Ave. who said that they couldnt give estimates on electrical work, bring in the car and it might take two hours or all day or more at $100+ per hour! Definitely worth the extra 15 minute drive to go to Daly City.

The mechanic that fixed my cars name was Omar he fixed the transmission on my 05 accord then we ran into an issue with the twerk converter not fitting, Omar let me know that I had to buy a new one he had to take the transmission out twice but only charged me labor for taking it out once. I called this place to see if I can get an oil change. Spoke to Omar and hes the person who did my oil change as well. Very nice guy. Went and got my oil change done in less than an hour. He also checked my tires and add liquid to my windshield wipers. He also told me about the repairs that needs to be done in my car and unlike the dealerships where people are too pushy to get your car done asap and parts/labor costs a fortune, Omar gave me an honest and transparent price of the parts, estimate and told me that when Im ready, I can come back and he can fix my car. Will definitely be back and get my oil change here from now on!

I had a few thousand dollars of repair to do after an accident. After a number of weeks and multiple visits I feel confident that this is a good honest place to do business with. There were a few things that didnt get done the first round and a couple more issues that werent noticed immediately, but most of the back and forth could be attributed to miscommunication or just the complexities of a severe repair. What is most important is that when even minor oversights occurred AE went to significant effort to correct the issue, even at no additional cost. At one point they didnt notice some damage to the wheel bearings had occurred, which was only evident at speeds >45mph. They offered to do the additional work at-cost. I actually insisted that they charge for the labor, reasonable so I think. So those are the kinds of disagreements youd like to have with your auto mechanic. :) Overall it was clear to me that this place puts the focus on keep out of pocket costs as low as possible, and doing solid honest work.

Ae Motors is officially my new mechanic shop! I recommend them to anyone. My car broke down over the weekend and I was stranded in the rain. I heard of them on a recommendation and I can t speak highly enough about their services. They went above and beyond to fix my car. They were quick, had great communication and even offered to pick me up at BART on my way to pick up the car. Alex text me throughout the day with with updates and photos of the needed fixes. He even sent me copies of receipts to show me the deals he found. I was given a 6 month guarantee on the items they fixed and told I could come back in a month to check the fluids and make sure all was running smoothly. I am grateful for their work and know exactly where to go in the future.
