Steve has a customer for life with me. He took my Audi S5 and fixed the brakes, cleaned an oil leak, explained all the stuff that Audi wanted to charge me $11K for…then the charged me a fraction of the price, while doing a far better job with the best parts. So grateful to have been referred to him and will be taking my car back there whenever needed forevermore. Thank you Steve!
I’ve been a loyal customer of Cupertino Auto Tech for over 15 years, and I can confidently say Steve is hands down the best car mechanic in the Bay Area. He’s honest, reliable, and incredibly knowledgeable about cars. Steve goes above and beyond to take care of his customers. Not only does he keep my cars running smoothly year after year, but he’s also the person I trust for advice on buying and selling cars. In fact, I bought my very first car through him, and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! What sets Steve apart is his integrity. If he doesn’t have the tools to fix a problem, he won’t just leave you hanging—he’ll give you solid advice and connect you with other trusted businesses that can help. That level of honesty is rare and incredibly appreciated. If you’re looking for a mechanic you can trust with your car—and your peace of mind—Cupertino Auto Tech is the place to go. Steve is simply the best!
I’d highly recommend the owner Steve Hao for any repairs on Japanese cars, which is Steve’s focus. Steve is honest, dependable and very reasonably priced
Highly recommend. This is a no frills, reasonably priced, organized, get-the-job-done-kinda-place. Steve is an honest guy. I came in having trouble with my brakes. He didn’t try to upsell me. The dealership quoted me $980 and I ended up paying less than $200. I will be back.
Very capable, honest and reasonably priced. Have been regular customer for over ten years. Dealer workshops would say my (including my dad's, daughter's and son-in-law's) cars needed such and such repairs or maintenance and give estimates in the thousands. I'd take it to Steve Hao and he'd find most of these recommended jobs are unnecessary, then do ones he thought advisable at a fraction of the cost at much lower prices. As a bonus he's a very decent and affable person.
Steve is honest and experienced. Job is done quickly with high quality. Price is very reasonable. He has serviced my 2 cars for 5 years now. Steve is THE guy whenever my car has a mechanical issue.
Steve is a good auto mechanic with tons of experience. I found him on internet with many 5 stars reviews. He repaired my car’s problem which caused check engine light on and did a regular oil change all in a few hours. His fees are fair and reasonable. He also pointed out that my front brake pad needed to be replaced which I knew for some time and did not mention it to him, an indication that he paid attention to the car and being honest with truly existing problem. I will bring the car back to him to do the brake pad work in a few days. Thank you Steve, I really appreciate your good work!
My friend referred me to this shop, who has been a long time customer. When I purchased my first used car, I brought it here to be checked out, and they litsed all the goods and bads of the car, and gave me a very very fair assessment. I ended up buying to car, and fast forward, car isn't running as well as it could be, and they warned me 'bout it before my purchase. Brought it, they fixed it in less than 2 hours. definitely worth every dollar. I am extremely thankful for this amazing tech shop, and their attitude toward costumers.
