Amazing. To say it is refreshing to meet up with real mechanics who car about the car, the customer and have a sense of integrity would be a gross understatement . When I first pulled up, I thought to myself gulp, this is going to hurt my wallet! I was nervous because the shop & staff were clean, calm and professional that I thought there is no way this won t come at a ridiculously high cost . Well, they were 1/2 the price of the dealer for the job I needed ( it was done quick & thoroughly ).. moreover, the head of the shop, Brandon, looked at one of the $2,220 jobs the dealership said I needed & was adamant that I didn t need it & he was right ! ( thank goodness ., however, even if I had needed, they could do it for less than 1/2 ).. I am old school and I appreciate honesty & integrity & they seem to have that in abundance ! Nice to know you can still find that in 2023 in LA! Edit: in 2024: I just brought my wife s car in because the brake warning light was going off- I was fully prepared to pay $500 plus for new front brake pads ( per the warning ). However, the guys from import motorworx called me & informed me that it was just a faulty sensor & they replaced that for a fraction of the cost . Also, I had some other light going off & the told me it was some sort of purge valve & it is a recalled part so dealer will fix for free - ( they could have done it & bmw / mini would reimburse me but they said if would be faster at dealer ).. again, I appreciate their honesty and integrity as much as I appreciate the quality of their work!

I decided to come here to service my Mercedes because of the great reviews. Well I will say they didnt disappoint. Fast service, friendly and super helpful. I drop my car and was going to get surgery they asked about my well being as well as helping me out until I was able to pick car up. Definitely will be returning for any and all services. Great experience at Import MotorWorx, thanks mostly to Alvaro who is extremely professional and knowledgeable and friendly. He never made me feel that any question I asked was too minor or stupid. He answered all my questions and explained everything to me in language I could understand (without talking down to me) since Im not a car person. After doing a full inspection on my car, they sent me a list of suggested repairs/maintenance which Alvaro went over with me item by item and pointed out which ones I could put off for another time as they were not urgent. I was able to click on which items I wanted done immediately and they gave me the pricing up front with no hidden costs. My car was ready when they said it would be and its running great now. Very satisfied customer.

This being said, I did find a pretty good Volvo mechanic in Inglewood, Swedish Auto Clinic. For sure a good spot. *Original* Despite the indication they service VOLVO in Culver City - THEY DON T - per the Phone call I made today where I spoke to a male employee B . Remove the misinformation from website. Not a terribly big deal but when you think you found a terrific opportunity near home for something you need, then to find out you didn t, it s a big first world Womp Womp. I had this place saved for months anticipating I d use them for my Volvo. Now I need to figure out another solution further away from home which is a PITA.

With many local mechanics refusing or not experienced working on Minis, I found IMW. The expertise, service level, and use of technology to keep me absolutely up to speed on the work being done on my vehicle, has me being a loyal customer. I had a persistent engine light on for months. My last mechanic could not diagnose the issue so I would see yellow everyday. No more yellow light after my time at IMW. Fixed and never running better. Thanks IMW team!

WOW !! these guys are the only ones that saved my 2019 Audi S5 when my Head Gasket blew out .Took it to DTLA Audi they could not fix it (actually missed diagnosed the car) told me I need a new engine $42k Yikes !! . A friend told me about Import Motor Worx they work on BMW, AUDI and MINI. I brought my car there talk to Brandon the owner about the situation. He said lets pull the heads and check it out. Brandon and his team of technicians did just that. He said the bottom end of the engine looks good. We will get the heads machined and rebuild the whole top end motor. Not an easy job on an S5... Remember the dealer could not even do it !! I got my car back last week and the car runs AWESOME. I know a lot about car . And I can tell you these Guys ARE THE REAL DEAL !!! . This was my second time working with Import Motorworx. They really do have the best customer service and repairs I have found for my BMW in Los Angeles. They have been so patient, kind, helpful and fair. I will absolutely be coming here for all my future repairs!

I take my mini Cooper here. Some of the guys here drive mini s, so they know exactly what they are looking for and what is going on with the vehicle. They are always looking out for your best interest. They have never over promised like other shops have my estimates have breakdowns complete with photos of the work they ve done and what they have inspected. It s great to go to a shop that is looking out for the customer. I took a mini in recently that had more going on with it than it was worth. They were straightforward and honest. We can fix it at this cost, but it is best to cut your losses. They gave us all the options and their opinions as not just mechanics but mini owners and enthusiasts as well.

I am new to the area and happen to own a 17 year old BMW 325i. The list of issues was exhaustive. As a woman, I didnt not feel taken advantage, talked down to. In fact Brandon took the time to explain repairs and their necessity. My Beamer is back to being super enjoyable to drive again. They get ALL.THE.THUMBS.UP

Let me first state I really dont comment on such matters...That being said, I met the General Manager Brandon. He provided both a detailed print out w/pics and a verbal explanation of what is needed now, and what is needed in the near future along with the associated cost that could be taken care of in one visit or piece mealed. They were friendly, informative and provided an Uber for me to pick up my vehicle. This is not a common theme in most shops, I highly recommend them to handle small and more technical repairs. My first time at Import MotorWorx and the team was great. Super thorough but no overcharging. I knew theyd treat my Mini (2014 type s, 6-speed manual) right just based on how many minis they had at the shop They did an inspection, oil and filter change, replaced the transmission fluid, and tire rotation. Love having a reliable shop in the area!

We had some major issues with radiator and oil leak with our Mini. They diagnosed the problem and were able to repair and give us piece of mind that the car is safe and in good shape. Their staff was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly.

This is the second time Ive come to the shop to service my car and they have been really awesome about pointing out what I actually need to do for sure versus what can wait to help with the cost. They took great care of me, there is a beautiful husky / Shepherd doggy for me to pet and shower with love, and my car works wonderfully now at reasonable pricing. What more can you ask for?

Always a good experience here. I have a 2010 BMW 335i which I meticulously maintain, and will not take it anywhere else for repairs & maintenance. Michelle and Ray are super friendly and always provide great customer service. Dont bother taking your car to the dealer, bring it here for better service at reasonable rates.

This place is awesome. I scheduled a pre-purchase inspection with them on a $70k+ M3, and they exceeded my expectations! First off...they pick up the phone quick every time I call which matters and they scheduled me within a day of my call. Their web platform for inspection results was easy as hell to navigate and understand. Pricing was also better than 2 other places I checked with. I dont say this often but I highly reccomend them, especially if you need an accurate multipoint inspection.

I ve taken my car here more than once. Impeccable service; excellent communication throughout the repair; 100% trustworthy. The only place I ll take my car.

What really makes me trust them as 2 times over 2 years they communicated that the dealer would be cheaper or only option for two repairs: 1 sun roof repair and also an engine intake value which was still under warrenty in CA. Lastly, they also worked with me on picking up car as we live a bit far. Thank you!

Had a great experience with Import MotorWorx. Recently got my brake pads replaced. Even when I heard some squeaking a few months later, Import MotorWorx happily took a look at it, took it on a test drive and diagnosed it at no additional charge. The 1st place I went was MMS Autosport in Lawndale, BIG MISTAKE, #1, they kept my car close to a month, as well as continuing asking to make repairs which WERE NOT related to my Engine Red light. $1,600. later, Red Light was still on, and never repaired. Next, I went immediately to Mini Cooper of Santa Monica, paying $200.00, to put on diagnostic machine, and they wanted another $800.00 to further investigate, why Red Engine Light was on, and I said, NO. !! NEXT, I found Imports Works online in Culver City, which turned out to be the BEST CHOICE. Im very happy to Say, they fix the problem. They removed Red Engine Light within 24 hours. This Mechanic knows what hes doing. I wished I went to this place FIRST. My Car is driving like New. Im am so grateful again to the Mechanic. It was easy to call and get an estimate for the work I needed to get done. The shop looked clean and organized. My only grip is that they insisted on running a diagnostics test when I already knew what the issue was. When I refused, they said they would not guarantee the work. This was disappointing.

Brought my Volvo in for an inspection and repair. Clerk Alvaro told me inspection is free but any additional diagnostics would be a charge but I would be contacted for approval. Received an estimate back that was slightly above average, called into get them to bring the price down and he told me I have to pay an additional diagnostic fee that I never approved. Shady. Never once apologized and continued insisting I was lying after I said I want my car back.

Brandon was knowledgable, professional, and excellent in customer service: he kept me up-to-date with repair processes, offered me rental options, and answered my other questions. Anyone who knows me is aware that I baby my cars and pay special attention to details and only use OE/OEM parts when it comes to DIYs. After using Beverly Hills BMW for my cars for many years I was very pleasantly surprised to find a high level of customer service, professionalism , attention to detail and friendly approach. Actually I think that in some respects BH BMW could learn from this place ( like the use of a special software ... nice touch !) I havent used their service much, only to check a not working AC on my BMW X5 refill the AC system and check for leaks, but I will definitely return to finish all the other necessary repairs. I was desperately searching for a legit Audi mechanic . My previous Audi Mechanic placed a incorrect oil pressure sensor and claimed the light would go away in a few weeks . When I arrived here , I was immediately giving photos and text messages with trouble areas and things that needed repair . Brandon was completely honest and I would recommend this place in a heartbeat . They corrected my issues . My oil pressure light went off and I returned to fix my radiator at a later date . They car is running great and plan to return to finish the timing belt issue and clutch replacement .

Import Motorworx know their stuff. I own a Mini Cooper R50, and these models came out with a few defective parts that now adays are getting people to get rid of this model car. I love it tho, and I try my best to give it the proper maintenance and repairs it needs to last me as long as it can. When ever I have had a doubt or question about my car (even tho I know almost everything when it comes to this model) lol I know that these guys will for sure have the correct answer and that they can do the job. If I ever need a hard complicated job no matter what it is I bring it here because not only will they do a great job but their work comes with warranty that you won t get any where else. So to me it s great hands on knowledge, every car part I need they will have or will get for me, and it s an added sense of security I get even when they finish with the warranty they give. It doesn t get better than that for me at least!

Pricing was extremely fair, and the repair work was done very well and on time, as promised. Import Motorworx is a great resource for highly professional work at a very fair price - in an impressively tidy shop. They provide an excellent dealer service alternative that I will absolutely refer to family, friends and colleagues.

Import Motorworx replaced the clutch on my Mini. I turned to them when the dealership I d been going to for seven years quoted me a ridiculous price, then berated me for getting other quotes. Best thing that could have happened. Michelle at Motorworx was great to work with she explained in detail what they d be doing, was knowledgeable about Minis and treated me like my business mattered. The price was fair, they guarantee their work and my car is running just fine.

Brandon is really great to deal with - very knowledgeable and down to earth. Can t say anything about major maintenance here as I only had an oil change done, but the facility is spotless and state of the art. Will definitely be back.

I have an 2004 VW beetle that was stalling occasionally. I had other shops attempt to fix the issue. However, it was not corrected. Import MotorWorx ran the proper diagnostics and determined that a crankshaft sensor was intermittently faulting and causing engine stall. They quickly replaced the sensor and corrected the problem within 24hrs. Great work! Thank you!

Had my car serviced at Import Motorworx today. Great service, reasonable rates, excellent communication and very knowledgeable. The shop is clean and the guys are professional, friendly and super chill. This is my new go-to place to have my V-Dub serviced, for sure!!!

My 335 was not producing heat, and I had already had another shop do diagnostics and give up without a root cause. Import MotorWorx investigated with extreme attention to detail and figured out what was wrong. I was worried that having my to take my dash apart to get to the inner components of the heater would leave the car with creaks or rattles, but it came back in perfect condition. No one would ever be able to tell the repair had taken place except that now the heater works like new. I trust them to do the most intricate work on my car, and they never disappoint.

Never been to a shop where they change the parts they want to and not change the parts you brought it in for and not tell you till you go and pick up your car update we spoke on the phone the next day after posting this and just got excuses and led to nowhere and today feb 22 the suspension link that they swap 2 times mind you I took it in for a alternator and they swapped a lot of suspension parts just because my warranty covered and without my consent snapped on my while driving now my car is undrivable thanks a lot

I worked with Erin and the assigned mechanic (didnt get his name) to install some new parts for my BMW (coils, plugs, charge pipe, intercooler) and despite the difficulties we faced with missing components, problems with fitment, and even a random electrical outage impacting the area(!!) they both worked very hard to get my car running smoothly. To top it all off they gave me an amazing deal on installation and explained every step of the process. This is a one-of-a-kind auto shop that knows that ins-and-outs of European autos and their quirks. I dont really trust any other shop with my BMWs and Ive been going to these guys for over 8 years now.

Great and fast service from Eran and the team at Import Motor Works. Took our mini countryman for its 60,000 mile service. They did only the necessary work that needed to be done on the car, we were not up charged for any other services.. They also did a thorough inspection on the vehicle and recommended some things that needed to be addressed in the future but was not necessary right now. Very satisfied with their service and will definitely return to them in the future.

My car is 2007 650i BMW. I have over 100,000 miles on it. Ive been through at least 4 garages in the past 2 years, two in Switzerland, two in SoCal with electrical problem. My car would start sometime cant start sometime. I can start with the jumper unit most of the times. It looked like battery problem especially going through the pandemic I didnt use it as much. So, I assuming that it was battery. With the starting up problems in places, once my computer prompt the message that I have Transmission Malfunction, I towed the car to Import MotorWorx for a quick battery change. Found out that my battery is performing just fine. Personal at Import MotorWorx had done an extensive research to find out that the problem with the electrical in my car came from a little device called IVM-Integrated Voltage Module. This device suppose to maintain the even voltage supplies to the engine however after 13 years, this device had failed. The unevenness of the voltage had caused my cars computer to go haywire at time however, it fixed now. Im going to use this company to do everything on my car from now one. LOVE HOW THEY WORK!

He coached me through the process with my insurance company, followed up, and saw things through til the very end. And..he was so honest about everything. I ve been scammed by repair shops before. I ve been going to IMW for awhile. They have serviced two of the Minis I have owned. The service is always superb and professional. During COVID, I d recently had surgery and IMW was offering to come and pick up my Mini do the repairs/service and return my Mini to me. Taking into a count COVID-19 protocols. I m never going anywhere else. I miss Michelle at IMW but everyone at IMW has kept the same kindness, professionalism and timelines in performing all services. Usually, being a woman dealing with cat repair/service you get taken advantage of, not at IMW. Thank you IMW for being there!!!!

I have a 2017 Mini Cooper f56 the check engine light was on so they diagnosed and performed an inspection on the car their explanation was very thorough explaining me the price and what s needs to be done the pricing was agreeable the staff and mechanics were knowledgeable courteous and very friendly I really recommend people that owns a Mini Cooper should stop by and get there car checked over there I give it a 5 star rating
