UNPROFESSIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE. THIS PLACE COMMITS HIGHWAY ROBBERY. After I left the negative review about being charged double labor to replace a serpentine belt AND 300% MARKUP on the belt, firestone customer service emailed me to have the regional manager review my invoice. They said it would be 2 business days before they responded with a resolution. Its been over a week now, and the regional manager still hasnt responded. So essentially they just paid me lip service to look like they actually cared about my negative experience, and did nothing other than ignore my emails.

Came in to check a leaky tire. Not only did they thoroughly check it and find nothing, the staff checked all the others, added air and charged me nothing. Excellent, quick, thorough service. Malek and Jonnie and team are great!

DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU LIKE PAYING DOUBLE. I was charged 519$ for a job that should have only cost $250 at most. My serpentine belt went out and I had to have a tensioner replaced as well. I was charged 100$ for a belt that costs 35$, I was charged for 2 hours of labor when the job only requires less than one hour of labor. When I brought this to the attention of the manager, he was passive aggressive and condescending. I got price gouged and charged double what this job should have cost. There was almost a 300% upcharge on parts. Unethical, unprofessional, overpriced. Learn from my mistake and take your car elsewhere.

Disappointing Experience at Firestone on 17th: Lack of Communication and Unhelpful Service My recent experience at Firestone on 17th was nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. Not only did they fail to communicate a crucial requirement beforehand, but their service was unhelpful and dismissive. Firstly, I was astonished to find out upon arrival that I needed my Tesla card, despite my phone serving as a key. Its baffling that in this day and age, a company like Firestone would not clarify such a fundamental requirement beforehand, especially considering that many Tesla owners rely solely on their phones to operate their vehicles. As a result, I wasted valuable time driving back home to retrieve the key, only to be met with further incompetence. Upon returning with the key, I was abruptly informed that they couldnt service my car because it was too low. This information could have easily been conveyed to me while I was there the first time, saving me the unnecessary hassle of returning. Its absurd that they would allow me to go through the trouble of bringing the key back, only to turn me away without even touching the car. In total, I wasted over an hour driving back and forth to Firestone on 17th, only to receive subpar service and zero assistance. This lack of communication and unprofessionalism is unacceptable. I strongly advise against anyone seeking automotive services to consider alternatives to this establishment. Overall, my experience at Firestone on 17th was incredibly disappointing, and I cannot in good conscience recommend their services to anyone.

Professional, Timely, Friendly, Helpful, best Firestone Service Center I have used thus far, I would recommend this service center to anyone who asks.

I came for a headlight replacement, and they were going to charge me $70 when it was $15 at auto zone. He also told me it was an hour and a half wait, when I made an appointment. I refused their service and went to Juffy Lube down the street. Jiffy Lube charged me nothing, because it just needed to be screwed back in and the process took two minutes. I would save yourself the agony and look for help somewhere else.

We are beyond appreciative of the team at Firestone. After a very stressful day with added car issues on our way out of town, they were able to get us in to a bay right away and went above and beyond to handle the situation as best as possible. We are so thankful for the level of service and cannot recommend them enough truly a first class shop.

Came in for a tire leaking air, scheduled it at 11am took over an hour for a tire repair, would not recommend this place if you have a life,ill use Firestone in my home town,they would have had it done in 25min,

I have been driving 48 years as of 2023 and Firestone Costa Mesa, CA was memorably impressive. I needed many things done and they were so honest with me that it was stunning. The work done was PERFECT; all of it. I was pleased to the point that I was in candystore mode come the end that I purchased extras at their counter for future autocare...I was that pleased with their concern for my car - thus for me. Johnny was a blast -funny, Joe was great too; seemed like family ASAP, Malek has the customer service routine mastered. His full name translates to mean, King / Servant. That struck me anew as I realized that that is exactly how Malek treats you; the customer, like a king AND he is here to serve you. There are literally thousands of auto related businesses in the Los Angeles basin. If you are looking for somewhere to outdo Firestone Costa Mesa, good luck. I dont think you will find it.

We had a pretty difficult situation with our battery and they made good on the warranty and everything worked out great..Especially important for my mother of 80 years old. Thats still drives & very well by the way. IT is a very important thing that theres a dependable battery thats a part thats very important for the car for her safety. I had a bit of an emergency with a rental car, and they helped me out on the same day. Great work and very helpful, would recommend!

The tried charging me $1000 for wheel bearings replacements. The bearing only cost $90. If you have no tools all you need is a jack, breaker bar, a few specific sockets, and socket wrench. Maybe cost you in total with all that $300. To do all four bearing would cost you ~ $660. Only go here if you know your basics of car maintenance. I wouldnt go here at all tho

I had a perfect experience at this location I got a flat tire and AAA filledmy flat and I only had a short time to go find a repair shop and they were the closest I called they said come over and took care of me so quickly and it only cost $30 which I mean let s be honest is the best part lol and they were super nice. Also the shop itself is really nice and clean and if I had to wait for repair I would have been very very comfortable inside the shop. Two thumbs up

I am officially done with Firestone at this point. Ive always gotten my tires from firestone but as of lately the service has not been what it use to be with many of the stores. I went in for a screw in my tire, there was a long wait, understandably. The man offered to put air in the air time being, when I spoke with the guy putting the air in the tire, I asked Can this tired be patched without even looking where the screw was he looks at me and says No. I then say so you mean Im going to have to buy a new tire? he says Yes. So went somewhere else a couple days later and look at that... it was patched. Yall got some work to do with these workers trying to lie to people all the time or doing other work on the car without asking and then trying to charge. NOPE!!

Not that I didnt like it I never went there to get my tires and alignment place there is here it goes to Mesa is Grand Prix on Newport Boulevard in Costa Mesa theyre the absolute best so if youre looking for tires Wheels alignments probably much more thats your place to go!

Never coming back and writing a report to their corporate over the filthy condition they left my cream leather interior in. I brought them a perfectly clean car that was freshly detailed only two days earlier, yet after a simple alignment job they returned the vehicle to me with black smudges all over the door, steering, and shift knob. I ve never had my car destroyed like this by any other mechanic or shop, but Firestone apparently thought they d do something unique to stand out. Even after a steam cleaning (I went straight back to my detailer) the leather is not the same with visible black smudges. The window sill was the absolute worst. Probably left with filing a claim now and my advice is simply to never use this shop.

I came in with a tire that kept losing air, bc the tires were so old according to the associate, he wouldnt deal with them. So the only solution that was provided to me was to purchase two new tires at a discounted cost of $427. I left here thinking that it wouldnt come to this, especially since I have bought tires through the same company. I seek out a second opinion at a tire shop and had my tire repaired for $30, and when given the estimate of what a new tire would cost (not that I needed it after all the unnecessary stress), the least expensive was $99 and the most expensive was $200 each. So needless to say I am NEVER going back to this Firestone location, zero empathy and dishonest service or lack thereof.

Pay for oil change, tyre rotation and removing nail from tyre (slowly goes low). After 3 days I m understand what they are forget to remove nail and make a tyre rotation.

Firestone was great we got there about 15 minutes before closeing with a flat tire, ti turned out to be a bad vaulve stem they fixed it quickly and didnt charge me anything. Thanks for your great customer service .I would give 10 stars if I could

Do not trust these workers with your vehicle, ever. Took my truck here for an evaporator leak and a complete vehicle inspection. After having my truck for ONLY 90 MINUTES they called to say It was finished with the evap leak (this fix takes 2 hours on average), the complete vehicle inspection AND an oil change (which i didnt even ask for). When i picked up my car i told them there was no way they finished everything in 90 minutes, but the little nerd at the front desk with long hair was rude (classic shes a girl and doesnt know about cars attitude) and insisted his mechanic has been working on cars for 45 years and finishes quick. Sure enough, two days later my check engine light comes back on for guess what? AN EVAP LEAK. Thanks for charging me 900$ to turn off a check engine light. great service!

I went in to get a tire changed. The mechanic broke my front driver side chair. Now it sinks in whenever I sit down. I told them instantly that the chair wasnt right anymore. They denied breaking it even after I told them that I did not drive the car in with a broken chair. They sent me to their claims department. Their claims department denied any wrongdoing and refuses to fix the chair. I went in to get a tire change and I left with the broken chair. Horrible experience thats going to end up costing me double the amount of what I originally paid. Never go to this Firestone location.

Gary was extremely helpful today. I had a nail in my tire and he said upfront that its close enough to the sidewall that it might need a new tire. After inspection he said that a repair would work just fine. I really appreciated the honesty. He was friendly and the service was fast. Ill definitely be back for all my tire needs!

I would not recommend this facility to my worst enemy. Service manager was full of excuses and very unprofessional. All I needed was an oil change and a tire rotation, and 4 hours later they couldnt even do that right. If there was a no star rating I would do that. Take your business elsewhere.

I had a fuel pump repaired in laguna hills which they didnt even do right and then it broke down less than a week later with the same problem then i had it towed to costa mesa location and they wanted to charge me another 900 dollars when i payed laguna hills location 900 for the first time what a joke

I had an oil change, that would cost me everywhere 60$ they charged me 153$. Also promised to change rear light, which they did not actually replaced, but charged me for that.

My 2008 Ford Escape had some stering wheel play. I took it in since they were open on a Sunday to see what the issue was. They charged 10 bucks for a Bumper to Bumper inspection. Tommy the teck checked it and said I needed a new stering box assembly and parts and labor would be 2600. Well I knew it was a RIP off so took it to Chapman auto in Orange and they said it was just a bad U Joint easy fix with parts and labor 200 bucks. They also said I needed other repairs but turns out I didnt so these so call Tecks didnt even do an inspection because if they did they would see it was just a u joint. On top I was sitting at the Starbucks across the street since I had to waite 2 hours for the inspection. Guess what my car didnt even move from the parking lot. I want a redund of my 10 bucks. Nothing but liars and scam artists plus they did a tire rotation yes at no charge but lol I chocked my back tires and guess what there wernt even removed. I just took my keys and said thank you but no thank you. So if you have a 2008 to 2011 Ford Escape and you hear clunking when turning the wheel and if you have some Stering wheel play form what The guys at Chapman auto and a simple Google search you would find out its the lower steering shaft U Joint. Fix that and guess what no clunking sound or stering wheel play.

My car window wouldnt roll up. Not for lack of trying on its end, the motor still plugged away, just fine. No, the issue was that the window itself had gotten out of alignment within my car doors frame. I had noticed this a few days previously, since the seal on the window wasnt quite right when I rolled it up all the way. Well, the fateful day came around when my window literally popped halfway out the car door, and obviously, living in LA and working in Costa Mesa, I cant afford to have my car window open all night. So, I took it to these guys, since they were the closest mechanic around. I explained my concerns, they charge me $100 just to look at it, and then get back to me a couple hours later saying the motor is broken and will need to be replaced, a repair costing $550. I say no, because I know people with far less experience who have done it themselves for just the price of parts. Even with labor this seems high. I pick up my car and take it to the dealership. I explain that the diagnostic said it was the window motor. They look at me skeptically and say they dont think so. Fifteen minutes into pulling apart my door they find one of the clips that keeps the window lined up in the frame properly is broken. Total cost of parts: $11. Total cost of the repair (because they went ahead and switched out the other clip, just in case it was on its last legs) $160. Basically I paid Firestone $100 to tell me the wrong thing was wrong with my car and then try to convince me to hemorrhage an additional $450 their way. Would not recommend.

Came in around 6:15pm because one of my tires had a nail in it. I had to drive back to LA so I needed my tire fixed. Guys made up some lie talking about their air compressor being OUT. Tsss yeah, they had one car up on the lift and one of the employees was adding air to another vehicles tires. Went over to Pepboys and they took care of me despite being close to closing time. Definitely will never go back to this location.

Nothing feels better then receiving great customer service knowing that I will be safe on the road. I trust Diana! Because being a female and know nothing about cars, she gave me options and financial plans that exceeds within my budget. I appreciate her knowledge and being so caring to me and my family. Absolutely horrendous experience I brought my Mercedes here and they dumped the wrong air filter into the car and couldnt get the right part until Monday a week later. Lesson learned anyone with German cars do not approach this place unless youre prepared to be a vehicle-less for over a week. As I drove off the lot the Mercedes engine roared unhappily and the farther away I got from Firestone the more power I lost. I almost wanted to pull over and have the car towed so there wasnt any permanent damage, but I knew that would entail a tow truck and several more hours of waiting. Plus I already knew my attorney could give me damages plus some, so alas I kept driving. The luxury car lulled to about 10 miles an hour, and I was full of determination to make it back to these firestone crooks.

Horrendous brake job - almost killed me. this place has the worst technicians in the entire great STATE of California!!! The guy Aaron should be FIRED. His team performed my brake job wrong and when I drove back at the end of the day, I was left to Uber home because they literally put the wrong brakes on my vehicle. Shouldnt have brought the family car here. No Im screwed hoping they fix my livelihood....errrrrr will never be back, to say the least. F Firestone. Head to anyone else instead.

Took 14 days to complete an oil change. How did this even happen??? I visited your location 2 weeks ago and now theres no oil in my mercedes, what in the heck is going on with this place??? Never again will I consider firestone. This was the worst treatment ever and after all this, no offer to recoup my loss or anything. So here I am, pissed off. Oh yeah, and I got the car back, and now its SCRATCHED! I attached a pic of a professional fixing the job. I want nothing to do with Firestone from here out, and you will be hearing from my attorney regarding damages :-)

Nice group of people working here - very straightforward and kind. My lifetime alignment tho took 3 and a half hours when it was supposed to be 1.5 hours. Fortunately I was out and about but that would have really sucked i I had to be somewhere. They also checked for stuff wrong with the car which was nice but it would have been really expensive to fix compared to our other mechanic so I politely declined.

they are definitely over charging. Also, they barely take a close look to your car, even though you literally talk to them and say it is the concern. I said there is something wrong with my engine mounts and they didnt realize it until after several inspections and their answer is: you cant tell from looking at it. Cant you at least do some investigation instead of just looking at it?

Straight up Criminals. I just bought a used car from somebody that I knew and put about $1,400 worth of work into new brakes and suspension components. About a month later I took it to Firestone for an Uber vehicle inspection, well because they do it for only $20. Of course they found a laundry list of issues and failed my vehicle, and would not pass it until I paid them for all these costly repairs. I thought well, I just want the car to pass, so Ill do the repairs. I negotiated the price down to a reasonable level and told them just to fix the issues. Immediately after they brought the car back into the shop, they called me back and had yet an even bigger list of issues that they needed to fix before they would pass the car... That was when I had enough. I told them not to do anything, and just picked the car up. I brought it to a different mechanic, who charged $50 for the inspection. Miraculously they didnt find any issues with the car and it passed with flying colors. The people working at this firestone are very dishonest and borderline criminal. I would strongly urge any and everyone to avoid this location like the plague! Do not trust these guys!

I went to firestone about my break fluid. Now being a teenage girl I know nothing about cars so I went to firestone thinking they would know exactly what to do about my car beeping about break fluid. So when the guy said it would be $80 I assumed that was the normal price. I then learned later that with a car like mine that only has 25,000 miles on it, I didnt not need to get my break fluid completely flushed out and changed. So finding out I paid much more money then needed upset me very much. But thats not the only wrong with my time at firestone. They also told me part of the left shoe on my break was broken and it needed to get replaced. They said it would be about $400 to fix it. Now luckily I didnt get it fixed then and there because a couple weeks later a mechanic my mothers work has used for 25 years checked my brakes and found out nothing is broken. So there is nothing wrong with my breaks. Do not go to firestone, they will rip you off, especially if you are new to cars and dont know much about them. They are not professional and trustworthy but rather they are scammers.
