Capital Transmission in Citrus Heights

Today is my first time going to Capital T. and im very pleased. Mike and his son are very helpful,honest and also reasonable price(he even gave me a military discount). He answered all my questions & concerns, about the Check Engine light of my old, high mileage car. Thank you Mike & staff.

Mike and capital transmission is the only transmission shop in sac I will go to. They are honest, reliable and reasonable! Mike will tell you the truth and even offer a warranty! What shop does that?! I’ve brought capital transmission at least 10 different trucks over the last 20 years and referred friends and family. You can’t go wrong with Capital Transmission

Mike is a nice guy and his prices are great. He did good work for me and worked within my needs. He stands by his work and covered some warranty repairs for me after I moved out of state! Stand up guy.

The shop has good pricing; Mike works hard to find deals on parts and passes the savings on to you. Unfortunately, my transmission failed after being rebuilt. Mike is honoring a warranty, but the damage happened on 3/15/2020. It is now 10/1/2024 and Mike still hasn't worked on the transmission. It is under warranty and will be fixed when he gets to it. First, the problem was COVID made it hard to find parts, now he is just looking for the parts and "can't find" what is needed. To be fair, the transmission for a 2nd generation 4Runner is different (it includes the transfer case) and it may be difficult to find parts, but four years is too long to look.

Research on BBB before you bring your vehicle here! Their license expired in March 2024! BBB has no record of them renewing it as of June 2024! If I could give ZERO stars I most definitely would. The men in the shop are condescending to their customers. Do work that was not asked of them and ignore the original complaint. Super shotty work when they do anything. They are liars and thief's. My sister wnt in to get her CV axel replaced due to the typical clicking noise they make. She was told it's just a leak on one side. The leak was suposedly fixed. They did not look the axel over completely and make sure her vehicle was safe to drive for her and her 3 children. Less than 2 weeks later, the click came back and we were told we were delusional basically. We had 1 shop look it over and tell us to take it back and get it done correctly. I'm sure because the issue was under warranty they didn't want to bother because they don't get "Full pay" for the job. She now has to have her entire front axel replaced AS WELL as lug nuts and studs (on the side they "didn't touch"). HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMEND! 🤬😤🤬

I did not have a good experience, at all. I was talked over, a lot, and when asking questions for clarity, I was given convoluted answers which were extremely in-depth unwanted explanations, leaving me with further confusion about the state of my car. Furthermore, it's been found now that my car works perfectly fine and that the $500+ quote I was given at this location is not a service that my vehicle is in need of, in fact. Listening to customers while they speak is so important to me, responding clearly and concisely is so very helpful to have as a customer. I received neither.

I can just say I am very unhappy with Capital transmission service I feel totally ripped off I will never recommend this company to anyone From having repairs done I’m still not happy with the results transmission lines were not ran properly to keep the transmission cool and from overheating
