Valvoline Instant Oil Change in Citrus Heights

Just had to wait a few minutes for them to finish up the car ahead of me. Was in and out, in about 12 minutes. They did a good job in my opinion

Took my Dodge Cummins to get an oil change and when I got home the filter was leaking. I took it back and they said it was residual oil and the filter was not leaking. I got home and the filter had oil dripping of the bottom of the filter. I replaced the filter and the leak stopped. I took the filter back to them and I will never go back to this or any other quick change oil shop. At this location employees are unprofessional, I took my Range Rover for an Oil Change they were not familiar with the vehicle first they made me wait for 30 minutes, after they got under the hood they didn t know how to locate the oil filter and gauge, and asked me if I can take my Vehicle to another location where they have a manager. That s funny and unprofessional for a business.

Overpriced! Long! Horrible service, will try to sell you a bunch of crap you don t need! Go any where else, there used to be a good and fair business here before valvoline took over and is charging an arm and a leg for slow, unprofessional service!

When I Arrive I told them my car mileage 3 times very slowly... they added 60 k miles on invoice , i ask to fix it so Carfax records will be correct they didnt.... now i have to deal with Carfax service records not actual miles issue...

My experience was a pleasant one. I was greeted by a technician that introduce himself by name, Reviewed my options for services, didnt pressure me to purchase one service over the other, gave me information I could use to review for my next service(s).

Everyone was nice and friendly! One gentleman had notified me the day before I was going to get my oil change with a Groupon I bought was not valid until 24 hours after purchase. I didn t read the fine print so that s my fault but thanks to him I didn t have the problem of getting the service done and not being able to pay scenario. Wasn t 15 minute service but as long as it was less than 30 minutes is what I cared about and it was a good deal on Groupon! I even brought Lucas oil for them to put in as well and they put that in. Only minor thing I didn t like was a fee for hazardous waste and tax not included in the Groupon.

Quick but sloppy and incomplete work. I had a $25 off coupon so I decided to try them out. Well, these are the issues I had 1) They check off items as good that they did not check. (IE: They checked off the Cabin Filter, its in the glovebox area, I can assure you they didnt check it). 2) They got oil all over the place under my truck. Basically when they pulled the oil filter, they didnt use anything to catch the oil, so it drenched the power steering rack. (A well known issue when working on a 5.7 Hemi). When I got home I saw it was dripping on my driveway... I was able to go under it and clean it up with a rag and some cleaner, but why should I have to do this after on a $140 Oil Change? 3) They never reset the maintenance reminder on the dashboard display (I ended up doing it myself, but its something they should have been done) 4) They mis-state the factory maintenance schedules, wanting $200 for Gear oil (differential) service, saying that RAM recommends it every 30K miles (was even on their computer screen). I declined, but decided to pull out my owners manual to see that its recommended every *60K* for *severe* service and 120K for Normal service. Will not be back, the pricing even with a coupon is near if not more than Dealer pricing, and the service is mediocre at best.

I will never ever go anywhere to change my oil other than Valvoline. I always go to Valvoline in my area, Was in the Citrus Heights area to visit family when I had an issue with my skip plate. They helped me out, no waiting and were the best at explaining to me what Id possibly done wrong.

For years now Ive only used Valvoline instant oil change centers and have been very satisfied. However my last two oil changes have me very concerned. It seems like the employees are not trained very well. Lots of rookie mistakes. For instance my last visit, a tech mistaken my transmission fluid for my oil! I had to call them out on it for a manager to come check it out, who was at lunch at the time. The worker ended up sucking out some of my transmission fluid but they wouldnt replace any. They said it was still at a normal level even though it was at the bare minimum level. Also, whats up with grown men sagging their pants, especially at work? Do I really have to look at their underwear. . I have a video recording of my interaction with employees and manager confusing my car fluids. The manager did try to rectify the situation and was nice but I cant stand that he just wouldnt add a little transmission fluid for what they sucked out. Either way Im not sure if I can go back, the fact they would mix those fluids up has me paranoid to bring my old car back again. ~Andrew

He went above and beyond helping me with my oil change and even giving me some pointers that the turbo on my car is leaking and will need further attention. people like this are rarer and rarer who were willing to go the extra mile. many blessings. A good place to change the oil and generally check the condition of the car. Today there was a small incident, this happens when people work , the staff apologized many times while solving this minor problem. It took about 30 minutes and I received a 50% discount. Gotta bring your own oil filter and if they send you to a shop to get one it doesnt carry it so they waste your time.

They ruined my friends cars engine and are refusing to fix it. In her words: Thank you for ruining my engine Valvoline in Citrus Heights and not taking responsibility. In case you can t see the review Ruined my engine!! I got my oil changed on a Wednesday, was broke down on side of the road Friday night. Got towed to a shop and they didn t remove the oil gasket when they removed the old oil filter so there were two gaskets on the oil filter which caused me to lose 3.5 quarts of oil. I contacted them immediately simply wanting my oil change refunded and to cover the new bill for oil and make record in case there was long term damage. They insisted I should have had my car towed 40 miles back to then and refused to refund me. Fast forward to last month, I have metal in my oil which is caused from running with low or no oil . They are refusing responsibility of course still and the Bureau of Automotive Repairs is now involved. Stay away from this place I get that mistakes happen but their response is absolutely unacceptable!!!! She just wants her car back to the well cared for and running state it was in before visiting this establishment. We are going to get real loud until they decide to take accountability for this issue. Would not go here myself and dont recommend you do either!!!!

Staff are friendly and got my oil change done in ~20 minutes. Some of the managers moved from the Folsom branch to this one. I wish they would open Nother branch in Roseville.

Had my Jeeps oil change done. They checked tires, all filters fluids and lights. The people were pleasant to deal with and very efficient. Took all of 15 minutes . Pricing was competitive. I would recommend it.

Never going back to this place! It took them one hour and 17 minutes to change oil because they were shorthanded. They falsely advertise. They can do the oil change in 15 minutes. When I got in line to get service, they should ve told me that they were shorthanded and it s going to take longer. There was a car next to me. They came in after me, and they got done with that car before my car. They charge me $18 more for extra quart of oil because their $125 service includes only 5 quarts of oil. I drive a 2019 VW Teague. I believe this is done by design to falsely advertise total price of $125 so they can charge additional $18 per car additional oil. After the oil service was done, they did not put in next service sticker or reset my mileage meter for next service. There is a Jiffy Lube under a mile from my home and they charge just under $100 for the service but I don t like the fact that take hour and a half to do the service. The principal reason I went to this shop . so I can get the service done in about 15 minutes. They re over priced, terrible service, and they re falsely advertise the time and the cost. I will never go back there again.
