For 70 years in the same location, we have been the premier resource for automotive repair and service in Chico. We conduct a thorough inspection with every service and take the time to educate our customers so that they can make informed decisions about their vehicle. We treat every vehicle as if it belonged to a member of our own family. Rest assured that every recommendation that we make is with that in mind. Whether you need an alignment, smog inspection, brake repairs, A/C service, diagnosis for a check engine light, battery, or just routine maintenance like an oil change. We are always here for you Monday through Friday from 7:30AM to 5:30PM.
Came in for an oil change after having my car inspected at another shop (Which I trust) out of town just four weeks prior. Upon return, they begin listing off numerous problems with my car. When they offered to show me pictures of said issues, he couldn’t even point out the problem (Because it’s not really there) he even contradicted himself and said “well you actually can’t see it in the picture” he then asked me if I know how car transmissions and engines work. Which led him to mansplaining these non existing problems to me. As a young female, I felt sooo uncomfortable and apprehensive about anything the mechanic was trying to tell me and will never be returning. Bonus~ On my repair sheet they sent me out with listed an air filter change for $171 on my 2016 Hyundai LOL, I can’t lie you guys did give me a good laugh, they're prices are comical! (I researched the HIGHEST quality filters after… $64 max, average is $22 both cabin and engine, but nice try guys)
The jury is still out on last week’s fiasco, however something has happened at Boradori automotive repair. Several new faces yet nothing gets done or either false statements are made. Last week I was told that Ford has used an aluminum oil pan on my ‘12 F150. The tech told me to replace it because he stripped out the threads for the drain plug, but he was able to get the plug seated. Info on line about the use of aluminum oil pans stated that aluminum wasn’t used until several years later. He offered to recheck the plug for leaks in a week, which was last Friday. I returned my pickup last Friday at 8 AM. Replacing the lubricant in the differentials and transfer case was recommended as necessary. So since it was here I said check that out. I was offered a loaner vehicle to use at no cost. Eight hours later I returned to the shop, I was told my pickup wasn’t ready and to keep the loaner over the weekend at no charge. BTW The differential lube oil check and replacement takes minutes to complete. Then I was notified that a rental charge was made on my credit card. So what happens in the recesses of the shop? The front end service rep is an honest upfront fellow we have trusted for a long time! Where is my truck? It was full of gas when I left it. I had valuables in the truck and in the camper shell. I hope Monday Feb17 the mystery will bd solved. My fingers are crossed. Good news Monday (today) returned to Boradori. Grateful that service writer, Cory, is there for us. My pickup was serviced professionally. I trust this shop. I made an appointment for next week to have another issue resolved. Thank you Jack for having this team for us.
I have a family member that has been going to Boradori for about 25 years with good results but recently we had a "difference of opinion" related to some repairs. Bottom line is that we talked about it with Corey and he and company treated us fairly even when he didnt have to. Based off my experiences with them I think they are honest and treat people fairly.
I'm going to rate them 5 stars. So I've never really had any problems, Besides i'm just understanding and i'm losing my keys for about an hour. This mistake was due to somebody.Put the keys back in the wrong spot and I had an extra set of keys that I used when I got there so I ended up leaving with the vehicle expecting that the other family member would pick up the key. Because the car was gone and the keysler was empty they Assumed we got the keys back and told us they were not there and had been given back. Upon further investigation and discussion the keys were found on a different board than the one they were supposed to be. So, in all due respect, mistakes happen, it was just a very concerning one for the moment. (After review a lot needs to be shortened and correctes from talk to text...will adjust when I have time.)
I have had to bring my truck to Boradori's more than I care to admit with a multitude of issues, and every time I have brought the truck in they have always taken great care of the truck and me. It was really hard to find a shop to trust with repairs, that would take the time to listen to the issues I was experiencing, and that would go the extra mile to check not only the current issues but make sure everything else was in working order. A couple shops I had been to in Chico before them were very dismissive of me despite having some knowledge of engines and the computer systems, but Jared was not. He has the same business model as my dad who owned an Auto Repair Shop in the Bay Area for 25 years and I could not be more appreciative. On this last visit, they made sure I could get to and from work that was out of county and it made life a lot less stressful. These past two years have been so busy and hectic for me, and having them to trust with repairs that I did not have time to research and do was amazing. I plan to use them for all future needs. Thank you Jared and the Boradori Team!
I was recommended to come here by a friend of mine and, after this experience, i can say i will never go anywhere else. I'm not even sure where to start on this review. How about this: 1. Customer service - There is not a place i could name that has ever been better then them. Corey was absolutely amazing during the time my vehicle was there. Everything from the day that I got there to the day We picked my vehicle up, he was all over giving updates and sending pictures of the truck and just overall 100% transparent in all aspects of the work. 2. Pricing (everyone wants to know about this) - Typically, we took our truck to Dodge. The pricing here was way less then he dealership and more within our budgets. I was definitely impressed with what we paid in comparison to what we are used to paying. 3. Quality of service - I think this falls in line with Customer service above and how their tech was. I would give their person an A+ in their knowledge on the issues and the fact that everything went back together and it works great lol. Overall, i would highly recommend them for you to take you vehicle to regardless of what you did in the past or what the issue is. They put in the time and effort to make 100% sure you are satisfied with your visit. Once you go here, you will want to come back IF there is ever another issue.
There is no other shop I trust more with my cars. I've been burned before but Boradari always takes incredible caution and care with my vehicles. Sal has helped us out multiple times now. He kind, patient, and very knowledgeable about cars. I can trust that I'm getting accurate and honest information in addition to quality repair work. I love this auto shop! They are not pushy and do not try to influence you into doing more work than needs to be done. They are transparent about what issues they observe and take pictures for further explanation. Pricing is fair to industry standards. These images were taken prior to any work done to explain the problems we were having with our van.
Boradori Automotive did an incredible job of fitting our vehicle into an extremely tight schedule, determine the problem and repairing vehicle under less than favorable conditions. Really like to thank Joe and Casey for making it happen, and getting our vehicle back on the road to Fairbanks, AK. Where it is at the time of this review, and where it will be for at least the next three years. From the Friday we picked up the vehicle we drove 2,809 miles over the following five (5) days to Fairbanks from Chico. To all of Boradori. Many thanks!
