Tire Choice Auto Service Centers in Castro Valley

I setup my appointment online for an oil change and possibly a smog check because online it says they do state tests including emissions test, I set my appointment within the appointment bracket “morning” which was a time frame from 7:30-11:00am. I ended up arriving around 10am and when checking in I was told that you guys did not do smog checks. Then the person helping me said that I was supposed to be there at 8am - the online appointment system does not let you set a specific time just the time bracket I mentioned before. I showed him my confirmation text saying, “ Your appointment has been confirmed at our The Tire Choice store on Wednesday, April 2 between 7:30 AM and 11:00 AM.” and he said again well we have you down for 8am, he then began taking my information and asked if I would be dropping it off and picking it up later and I said yes. After I left I waited 6 and a half hours, until 4:30pm and received no call that my car was ready so I decided to call and see if it was, the person answered and said my Car was in fact ready, not sure why they did not call me when it was ready and not sure why it took so long for just the oil change, when I arrived to pick up my car I paid the $110 for the oil change and when I went out to my car it was dirty, had dark black oily marks all over my driver door handle and my steering wheel, usually the service is good but this time I was extremely unsatisfied.

Worse place ever. Will never come back. Bought tires on Amazon and they installed them and didn't balance the tires. Blamed the shaking on the tires. Paid 70 bucks for another place to balance the tires and they said I should not go back to tire choice. Stay away.

I had an installation order through Amazon, but the Tire Choice Center seemed to be unwelcoming towards my business. They delayed service and had a bad attitude. My appointment was scheduled for 9:00-10:00 AM, and I arrived on time. However, they told me that once my car entered their shop, it would take 1 hour and 30 minutes for the tire replacement, and until the previous vehicle was finished, I would have to wait indefinitely. As a result, I waited for 2 hours, but even by 11:30 AM, well past my appointment time, the manager, Charlie, kept repeating that the previous vehicle’s work was still not finished. He showed no concern for my car at all. I couldn’t keep waiting endlessly for an unknown period of time for another vehicle, so I left after wasting 2 hours with nothing accomplished. To report this absurd situation to the corporate office, I even recorded the conversation. I have no idea why they claim that a tire replacement takes 1 hour and 30 minutes. I went to a nearby shop instead and got the tires replaced in just 10 minutes. Very important point: They said the replacement itself takes 1 hour and 30 minutes, but the waiting time for my car to even enter the shop was completely indefinite. And this happened despite me receiving a confirmation text for my appointment in advance! And without any consultation, I checked Amazon and saw that they had arbitrarily rescheduled my appointment for the next day. They were not friendly, and their service was horrible. It was the worst service I have ever experienced. If I could give zero stars, I would.

I had an Amazon order of installation. The tire choice center doesn’t like my business. Delay service and attitude. My appointment is 8:00-9:00am. I arrived on time but they started the work until 10:30am. Got the installation finished to 12:00. They are not nice. Super bad service

I have been here before to have a tire patched a few years ago and had a great experience. Needed to have a tire patched again and called to see if they had any availability today . Was told that they had time and was glad to be able to have this done . Received a call that the car was ready for pickup and was told that all tires were inspected and no nail was found…. That I only required air in my tires …I know I’m not crazy but it’s pretty hard to miss seeing this nail . I wish I could say I had the same experience as I did the first time but unfortunately I still have this nail in my tire and will be going somewhere else for services .

Tesla owners be aware especially if you are female. They told my husband over the phone that they will fix it but different story when I came. If you have Tesla flat tire , don’t waste your time going there . They will not fix it unless you purchased tire from them. I have continental tire and asian guy told me that he was told not to fix it because of the foam🤣 what a joke. If I need to replace tire, I will call Tesla home service for sure not you .BTW fixed few blocks from them , just a tip

I can't say enough good things about my experience at Tire Choice in Castro Valley. Brandon and Eduardo truly saved the day for me. When I got a flat tire just around the corner and was in a rush for work, they couldn't fit me in for a tire repair, but they went above and beyond to help me put on my spare in the parking lot. Their exceptional customer service allowed me to still make it to work on time. I will definitely be returning in the next couple of days to get my tire repaired. Despite bouncing around different tire shops my entire life, Tire Choice has earned my official business for the future. Thank you, Brandon and Eduardo, for your outstanding service!
