I bought a metal hose to fix a new shower assembly from this business. What I used did not work and Outdoor Supply H/W in Capitola refused to give me a refund. I took other pieces of the assembly back to Ace hardware where I had purchased them and they took them back and gave me a refund. Which store would you buy from? Good bye Outdoor Supply and your lousy customer policies.
Well I guess after a year the customer service is still Horrible. At least I’m not constantly harrassed by the elderly fellow, askibg me to hold my messenger bag .i use while on my motorcycle. but this time after shopping for about 10-15 min i heard the new elderly floor help asking someone if they needed help ‘c when they answered no , i proceeded to ask the man if I could receive some assistance. And was discouraged when he answered well it’ll have to be a few minutes as I’m currently helping someone else which I thought was odd since 30 seconds ago I just heard you from 10 ft away asking someone else if they needed help. So I took that and went back to the area where I was needing a knife to be unlocked. I waited about 10-12 minutes overhearing him exhaust just about every shopper in the store and on his way back towards the tegesters he noticed I was still there over in the area I requsteded help in . Ass he obviously forgot I requested help. Which is an honest mistake but when that mistake was on the heels of an odd or discouraging interaction requesting help that turns the experience into a negative one. An experience that could have been remedied with being treated the same as any other shopper. I guess he failed to notice I had already dropped off about $150 worth of cargartt clothing at the register so I could continue shopping this too would prevent the unintended interaction of any hired help even considering that I would be trying to steal anything. It seems like the manners and customer service that people would expect from shopping at a store charging way above prices I would find online is not worth the extra charges. ESP when you’re not paying for customer service anymore but really extra security drsssed as an attendant of the store, only they either didn’t revive any or failed to remember their training on treating people equal .. bummer
I wish I could give 6 stars. I was served by 5 different people today on my quest to purchase a reciprocating saw and some mulch and every person was so friendly, patient and helpful. I will not be going to any other hardware stores moving forward. Well done.
We were very excited to see this store reopened under a different name and frequent it often. Service has always been good if not great until today. We went in to purchase something specific and there was not a sales person to be seen. So we carefully helped ourselves in opening a box to see the contents. And then suddenly an older gentleman appeared out of no where with a very crabby tone and demeanor. He was not helpful at all but rather rude and treated us like thieves. We are two elderly females so also felt dismissed by him. When I called to talk to the manager a young man answered saying they had all gone home ( 3:30 pm): so the young man offered an assisted manager to speak with. After asking him a few questions it was clear it was the individual that treated us so badly so I declined the request to talk to him. I will call the corporate office to express my concern as Capitola deserves better!
They had everything I wanted for my lawn work needs. It was all reasonably priced. The staff was super friendly and checkout was easy. They even offered to take things out to my car. Great customer service!
We are eating at the IHOP and I see a hardware store. Naturally I had to go check it out. This place had most home improvement and problem solving parts for your home. I was amazed to see so many products in the store. The only thing not included was a lumber yard. I don't think most homeowners are concerned with that
I believe these stores are owned by the same owners as OSH since you see the OSH logo throughout the store and it is because of that reason that you find whatever it is you're looking for. They got everything: Garden, cleaning supplies, landescaping, tools, hardware, lights, faucets,etc. The prices on most stuff are close to competition but there are some big ticket items that are a lot more expensive than anywhere else. The customer service is excellent and most associates were knowledgeable and helpful. Because of the layout and the size of the store, however, it was sometimes difficult to find someone to help. But all in all a good store to spend time and shop at.
I love this store! It’s so organized and easy to find what you need. The selection is huge. For instance , I needed a new door knob and I couldn’t believe the high quality and large selection they had. They also have a fantastic nursery. The people that work there are friendly and knowledgeable. The door is squeaky clean. Every department as well stocked. They have great housewares. The tools are unbelievable on this great selection. I really can’t say enough about what a wonderful store this is
Service at this location is great. They had the plumbing parts that I could not pick up at homedepot.

Glad the chain has been revived and OSH id back in business. The stores do not have everything that the big boxes stores do, but they usually have what you need in a nicer environment.
I love this store for kitchen items as well as all other construction and garden supplies. They have what you might have gotten at Bed Bath and Beyond for the kitchen and bath before, but their items are not as expensive!

Store with a broad selection of products that differ from home depot and lowes. Do be aware that if you buy from the bulk nuts and bolts and screws section returning items is a long and complicated process as there are no part numbers to scan.
My family and I love this store. Great selection and we try to shop more local (or at least geographic specific chains). We ran into a negative experience today with an employee named Tia committed to a store policy that I d like to see revised. The store requires ID to pay via credit card. I can get behind that, especially since my wife s wallet was recently stolen and she was the victim of a credit card fraud transaction. However, this meant that my wife had no ID to make payment while she waits for DMV to send card. It didn t matter that my wife shared her phone number which populated her account with name to match credit card. It didn t matter that my wife showed pictures, Online accounts, or copies of her DL and Passport on her phone. The employee still carried out this policy and it my not seem like a big deal but there were underlying factors that led to this being a big setback. The solutions my wife had seamed logical (especially when she recited her cell phone number to populate her account before being asked for ID), but it didn t match the policy
Not a great experience. The cashiers were barking orders at the shoppers when they were trying to sign up for the rewards program. The manager, Bridget, was very rude to the cashiers who needed help and to me. It was a tense experience.
The store is ok, the staff is a mess though
Its nice to have some form of O.S.H. with us still. Had everything I needed, but noticed far less floor staff to help me. Update: There were more staff this visit and I was asked several times if I need assistance.

Over priced compared to home Depot. Cashiers are friendly. Some of the employees that float around to help people can be a bit rude. I have a few tattoos on both arms and hands as usually a bit dirty because I been working on a project. Anyways I feel I get treated like Im a thief and gonna steal something. They have lost couple big sales from me because of that treatment. I dont like shopping there.

Went there to see if they can re-screen my screen door, it usually takes 3 to 5 days. Bob was able to do it same day, done in a few hours. Thats good ole fashion service!

About a month ago my husband and I went to OSH specifically for two Carhartt vests, one for him and one for me. We were in the isle, I had mine in the cart and was helping my husband find his size when I felt like I was being watched. I turn around and notice a male employee standing at the end of the isle obviously watching us. I tried to ignore him, but it was so creepy. I asked if he was watching us and he responded, yea, and so is that camera, and that camera, and my boss in her office. My mind was literally blown! We put the vests back and bought them on Amazon. We own a local storage facility and used to send our customers there for locks and buy supplies for repairs there. But we havent been back since that day, nor will I send my customers there ever again.
I am so happy to have Outdoor Supply Hardware (OSH) right where my favorite Orchard Supply used to be. Lots of helpful employees, clean, well organized and well stocked. Yay!

Hate these guys. Super expensive and so far everything I got did not work well. I dont get these guys. Lots of stalk but no confidence. Im a contractor and shop all places. These. Guys are last on my list to visit.

Thank God the former owners of Orchard Supply stepped back in to bring back most of what was the best hardware/farm & garden store ever! Great to walk into a place with a wide and deep inventory (from gloves to tools to irrigation supplies) and have a decent chance of finding what you WANT instead of having to settle for something that kind of works! Knowledgeable friendly HELPFUL people (as opposed to the HD Its a customer, run! experience). These guys deserve your business and you wont be disappointed!

I find it so much more enjoyable to shop at a store with a good curated set of choices. Often I m shopping with an idea in my head for a project where I m not sure of exactly what I need.

The staff is very helpful every time I go there. I also found some good prices on reputable generators.
Wow they have everything from specific type of tapes glues and garden equipment. The customer service is prime and very knowledgeable I can ask for everything and they can point it out. I never leave there scratching my head and they literally walk you over to make sure you have what youre looking for theyre pretty good!
Always have what I need with helpful employees to help me find it.

I have been in the store many times since the NEW store opened. I have found the prices to be very high. Many of the employees are helpful and seem to be willing to help. However at the check stand, there seems to be some disconnect with that helpfulness. At least at the old OSH they could ring up nuts and bolts without me getting the prises for them
Great service and decent prices I was pumped when they opened up.staff is always willing to help u find something,only issue is the employee Harvey he followed me around the store and looked at me weird.for being a teen I could see why I would be profiled but not to the extent Harvey took it. I mean for being a guy its not that scary but for a girl it would be pretty weird to have a old man following u around .

Update: returns require receipt. Really frustrating. I have purchased a few thousand dollars from this store since they re-opened and every couple of times they follow me around like I am a thief. I know there are people who steal stuff and requiring masks make identification difficult, but seriously a put off. At home depot I have an account and can return most stuff up to a year later. Homedepot for the win, even though they generally do not have any help to find what you are looking for.

Well stocked store with friendly staff. A lot less crowded then the other big box store in town with wide aisles so you can socially distance easily. The staff are very helpful and will actually walk you to what you need rather than just point. Pricing is on polar with other big box stores.

She found me in the store three different times with new options. I was going to leave empty handed but her diligence to helping out sent me home with everything I needed.

Beautiful, clean store. The employees were nice and a lot of the products were priced well. Still resembles the old Orchard Supply Hardware but with a smaller patio/barbecue section. They carry some of the same brands and new ones as well.
Nice to see OSH back, although with a slightly different name, but similar products on the shelves. On this second full day there were more employees than patrons, but that will change. Dont hesitate to visit, I think youll like it.

Well I would have gave this place five stars but I went in to buy some spray paintand they treated me like I was 15 years old they had to walk me to the register with my can of paint.. I am 62 years old I think they could see the difference between someone under the age and someone not. I realize you got to have rules but some rules are just ridiculous.....
Very few employees available for assistance. I walked out without purchasing anything.Its a pale remberance of Orchard Supply. Maybe since its a new store it will improve but without adequate personal I dont see that happening. Their prices seem lower than San Lorenzo Lumber. I wish them increasing luck in competing with the box store up the block whose owner loves Donald Trump.

On floor service helper guy didnt even make an effort to listen to me, had me follow him over to his work area, then had me prove that what I was looking for really existed (which I did via google) and then, he proceeded to argue with me how hes a contractor and he wouldnt advise such a purchase. OMG!! I will NEVER EVER go back there again.
