I never got to rate on their service but it better be better than the dealership. Labor-rate they use is $200 and quoted 1,300 to replace both cv boots. Whereas the dealership quoted 1,100 for the same work..

Toyota Lexus Auto Service is an amazing shop! I wish I had found it sooner. Our Lexus RX 350s steering wheel became crooked after changing tires. We took it to an independent alignment shop to try to fix it. When the steering wheel proved stubborn, we took the car to the Stevens Creek Lexus service center against our better judgement. The service center did alignments twice, yet failed to straighten out the steering wheel. After four alignments (each shop did it twice) within one week, gone was our money and hope. We thought the car would be hopelessly stuck with a crooked steering wheel for life, until we came to Kevin at the Toyota Lexus Auto Service. We initially came to the shop for an oil change, but thought it wouldnt hurt to chat about the problem. Kevin was competent and knowledgable, so we decided to give alignment one more go. One day after we dropped off the car, the steering wheel is straight. Between the choices of going to a great shop that delivers quality work, and going to the dealership to pay twice the price after being gaslighted about the job being done, we chose poorly at first. But we are incredibly glad that we found this shop and got our car problem taken care of. Thank you Kevin and the team!

Ive first heard about Kevin and Toyota Lexus Auto Service back when I was looking for an independent shop to look over my LS 460 for maintenance of worn-down components, as well as a general inspection. Kevin and his shop are now my go-to whenever I need my LS 460 and LS 400 looked over. Ill give a recap on my experiences. Kevin and his team (another shout-out to Gabriel who Ive also chatted with) thoroughly looked over the LS 460 and provided me with components that needed to be replaced, as well as other items that werent urgent, but were recommended to be replaced at some point soon. In my particular case, it was both left and right steering knuckles (due to the ball joints being worn, they come as one assembly with the whole knuckle), the high-pressure fuel pump gasket which was the source of an oil leak, the engine mount bushings on one side of the engine, as well as other things I opted for such as oil change, transmission fluid drain & fill, new spark plugs, and EFI system cleaning (which I recommend). Once Kevin had a lookover of the whole car, he let me know the problems as well as the severity/priority of them, and he even put the car on a lift to walk me through the trouble areas in person. He gave me an estimate for parts and labor and I agreed. Kevin provided updates throughout the time the car was there, to keep me in the loop. When the car was ready, Kevin also showed me the old components such as the knuckles, which gave me a better view of the worn bushings. I appreciate Kevin going out of his way to explain everything in detail so that I have a full understanding of the what and why. For my LS 400, I had taken it in for a general inspection to look into a few things I had noticed, one of them being a vibration/rumble felt throughout the body of the car at speeds between 45-50ish MPH. I had suspected it was possibly worn engine mounts, but the engine idles completely smooth at idle and is smooth otherwise at other speeds. It turned out that it was the transmission mount bushing that had developed a hard to notice tear. Once that was replaced I never noticed the vibration again, and the car has been great since. Kevin is always on point with his quote estimates, and in my case has even helped lower the costs so I end up paying less than what was initially estimated, which is awesome. This is the kind of service that all shops should strive for, unfortunately many dont, but Im glad this one does. I would say that, assuming you have more than one vehicle, allow Kevin and his team to take the time that they need to inspect and fix any problems in your vehicle. It helps them a lot since they have so many customers (another sign of a good shop), and this will ease their load. Thats what I did for each time Ive been there, and have always been pleased with the results. They really look out for your vehicle(s)!

The boss is a very nice person and very enthusiastic towards people. The employees inspected the vehicle very carefully and the prices were very reasonable. Today all the problems with my car were solved at once. If I have a maintenance or car problem in the future, this is the first place I go.

First time here to have A/C noise checked. Normal wear and tear and noise was gone after an A/C service. Kevin is a great mechanic and knows his stuff. Recommend to anyone who has a Toyota/Lexus.

Called about getting a smoke test done on my vehicle due to a evap leak. Was answered by a gentlemen who was very rude and was not knowledgeable on the subject. When I asked if it was possible to get it fixed he said yes. But when I brought the idea of just getting the test done and then myself installing the part he said not possible. Why would that be the case? I still need a service done but just don t want them to do the actual repair. Very bad business model of not being helpful to car owners who would like to work on their own car.

This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. A. This mechanic overplayed the severity of a misfire then B. tried to focus on a less immediate or relevant issue for a non-California registered vehicle temporarily in the state (e.g. emissions). As soon as I said, I care about the misfire and not the emissions. He refused to schedule the vehicle. Obviously, this mechanic is looking to get people for repairs that are not needed. Caveat Emptor (Buyer Beware) with this mechanic.

10/24/2022 I have an old car, Lexus GX470 - 2004. The car has been running great without any issues. Until a couple of months ago, I started noticing the unusual squeaking sounds at the base of the steering wheel when stepping on the brake. I brought my Lexus to a Car Repair Shop in downtown San Jose and they could not fix the problem. Kevin is truly one of a kind and the BEST Car Mechanic in Santa Clara County. He is highly skilled and experienced with Lexus car. Kevin worked diligently on my car and he was able to fix the problem. My Lexus GX470 is now running great again without any squeaking sounds. My wife and I own a 2009 Toyota Matrix S 2.4 liter that has provided us with many years of faithful service. The washer fluid tank had developed a crack and was no longer holding a fluid. I called several dealerships to get quotes. I called Toyota Lexus Auto Service. They asked for some information about the car, and a photo. I was asked to make a deposit for the part. I came in and made the deposit and made an appointment for the next week. The work was completed on time. The price was better than any other estimates. The shop is very busy. Be patient, often times the phone will roll over to voice mail. The shop is clean and orderly. The staff is polite, professional and competent. They replaced a left brake light bulb at no cost. I would highly recommend this shop for your Toyota or Lexus.

Kevin at Toyota and Lexus auto service is incredible. He is always kind and accomodating and works his hardest to fulfill even last-minute requests that I may have. I picked up my first used car this year and he was able to easily and transparently go over the repairs needed with me and how much they would cost, and got the car back to me in a timely fashion; now it runs great! Kevin is clearly a master of his craft and completes every repair completely and thoroughly. I would recommend Kevin to anyone with a Toyota or Lexus in the area.

But Kevin did it for a much lower price and without replacing any parts! He goes above and beyond compare to other places to fix your car! Had a great experience here. Not a rip off like so many mechanics. I noticed the only negative review was from someones gf who had no first hand experience with her auto repairs here. She just didnt like having to wait in the car during pick up /drop offs!

If I could give 6 stars, I would. Every once in a while, you find a business that runs on values of honesty, diligence, and quality work- and this is definitely one of them. Kevin went above and beyond to complete a 120K service interval maintenance, when I should have asked for a 150K service interval maintenance. He even worked on a Saturday and a Sunday to accommodate my schedule. He took the time to explain to me everything he worked on and observed under the hood of my car, and never tried to up-sell me on surprise maintenance. His rates are fair, and he cares about his work. He delivers factory standard service and treats his customers with respect. Honest mechanic, does a thorough job!

Kevin deserves 5 stars from me, if I can give 6 stars, I will give 6 stars, heck, I will give 10 stars! I bought a used LS400 from third party, it needs oil change as well as a full inspection, I brought it to Toyota Lexus Auto Service based on online reviews. I dropped off my car and went for lunch, after I came back from lunch, Kevin was already working on my car. He followed a thorough service list of oil change and full inspection, explained everything to me, showed me all fluids are topped off e.g. window washer fluid that I specifically asked, told me why transmission fluid, intake filter needing change soon; besides, he fixed a loose clamp that can lead to blown hose. My high beam doesnt work, Kevin painstakingly went through bulbs and fuses and elec lines with multimeter to check them. I have a tire inside worn, he checked tires dates, suspension, and even spare tire in trunk, and gave me suggestions what to do with my tire situation. My right front tire gave noice when hard turn right, he checked bearings and control arm bushing etc, showed me worn bushing and possible rubbing against a loose wheel well liner, he fixed the liner. Upon my request, he also did some cosmetic work to fix some loose trims. When all said and done, I was charged only for the oil change and inspection, no charge for those small fixes and painstaking checks, I expected much more charges. And it was already 3pm and Kevin did not have his lunch yet! I felt guilty (I told next customer Kevin needed a break) because I hang around and Kevin had to go through my car work without break, show me everything as I was curious to know more about my newly acquired car. I never had such service in other shops (never mind dealers). After Kevins service I have confidence in my car, and I have confidence in this shop and trust in Kevins dedication to work, I will for sure schedule my followups with Kevin, and if you have a Toyota or Lexus for service, just come to Kevins shop, of course call beforehand to make appointment :)

I would like all if you to know my story.so I just bought a 2008 gs 450h this is what happen . Today 9 18 was my birthday I had got up drop the kids off at school then went to go meet with son and his family for breakfast I didnt see anything wrong with my car left my car at my sons and went in his car When I got back I got in my car and when I started it I notice there was a picture of a battery a engine and it look like a fan I got do scared thinking there was something wrong with my car I pulled over turned the car off and started it again it did the same thing . I then called lexus told them what I seen on my dash bord they said it was going to 214.00 just so the can diagnosis it just to tell me whats wrong with it so I called one of my mechanic Told him was the car was showing he said bring it tomorrow so he can see whats wrong with the car. I then Google lexus manchanis in San jose then I seen this p0p up I called him told him what my car was showing he ask me the year and make of my car and all he said was you must have push some thing for it to display that in my dash he told me to look on the steering wheel and thats when I seen the button display and ii push it back to normal and it was gone I couldnt beleave thats all it was after calling and I even took it to Midas and the guy there said it was my battery that was going to cost me 1500 cuz its a hybrid I was so stress out and it was my birthday I cant believe thats all it was and his name was Kevin he didnt know me and less the 5 seconds he had solved my problem . I recomend this olace to all it was just a phone call . I thank you so much kevin you made my best birthday gift ever after all day if stress I really cant beleave this . It s so rare to find a great mechanics who does a complete job with good heart, not money oriented these day. I feel lucky I found mine in here. I am pretty sure he treats all his customers the same way with full heart. I got flat tire and call in around 7:00p to get appointment for next day but he helped me after hr even they close at 5:30p. I never realized how abandon my car has been. I do regular oil change every 5000 mi but all the past services place I have been going to has ignore my maintenance light & health and cleanliness of my engine sensor and all. Not only he plugged my tired, swapped tired, cleaned brake dust inside( tell me does ur mechanic do that?), changed engine oil that s aldy due, clean A/C filter & a bunch of stuff, reset maintenance light, replaced one of my license plate lights that nobody noticed, filled coolant that was empty(how long does it need to be ignored to be empty right?). You can imagine, after that my 2005 model car is light & fresh as new! Don t worry he charged me minimum too. Thank you so much for making my life safer my car life longer.

After several headaches & trying three different independent tire shops, none were able to fix the TPMS problem I had with my aftermarket wheels other than Kevin himself. I could ve gone to the dealership itself, but it was way too overpriced. I highly recommend this place for all your lexus car problems that almost cost half the price & twice the customer service/care this place has to offer. Definitely worth your dollar!

Called this place based on excellent yelp and Google reviews. So its true. Kevin was able to find time to diagnose and fix the noise problem the same day. He correctly identified the issue to be caused by bad bearings within the water pump right away. In addition, he checked overall health of the car and fixed/adjusted many minor issues. For all the little things (before it starts causing problems/money), he either only charged the cost of the parts or just free. Excellent service.

Absolutely impeccable establishment and incredibly friendly and efficient service. Words cannot describe my gratitude to Kevin!!! We were heading to Oregon, in a dire situation, because the AC was shot in our Lexus. Plus, we had to drive through Sacramento and it was going to be 105 degrees there! And we had our seven month old baby in the car! I googled Lexus service in San Jose and Toyota Lexus Auto Service came up in Campbell. We are so grateful we stopped! In a short while, the AC was working perfectly and Kevin didnt even charge us. He wished us well and safe travels and left us with a warm feeling of the goodness that humans can exude. i brought my car in for routine maintenance so it could be used for a dmv test. so i needed lights fixed asap. he was able to fit me in same day even though he is a one man show. kevin is super friendly and knowledgeable. i described a few issues with my lexus rx 330 that i researched online and he was able to know exactly what i was talking about. he is THE MOST open mechanic about my car repairs. he invited me into the service area to show me the parts of my car that needed fixing. once he showed me the issues i found him trustworthy. he was absolutely no pressure and i felt like i could ask him anything. he even gave me really good advice on keeping my car in top shape. his advice is really detailed so be prepared for long explanations but its totally worth it. his prices are really good too.
