Specializing in Porsche and BMW automotive service and repair for 43+ years!
Came here for an oil change and oil repair for my 944 and left very satisfied. Pricing is good, and the service is amazing!
Ryan and the Sportech staff were extremely communicative and went the extra mile to help me solve a tricky suspension problem. One that the dealer just wanted to throw part replacements at. Happy to have found them and I expect them to be my first option going forward for my fleet!
Came to get a PPI for a 981 Boxster. Ryan was awesome! He took photos of all potential problematic areas, ran a DME report including overrev scan report and answered all my questions. Will definitely be back for maintenance and more!
Brought my Cayenne GTS into Sportech for new oil, filter, a brake flush and exhaust enhancement. Ryan was very communicative with me over email and text and answered all of my questions. This place is run by two brothers whose life mission is to do great work on Porsches. I’d say mission accomplished. I’ll be back here for sure.
I had a previous service at Sportech so I decided to check into making an appt. and send an email about my car's problem. I went to their website and hit their link to send a message and it said they'd get back to me. Well that was a Sat. night after 11pm. A guy named Ryan seemingly answered me within seconds after I sent it. Now, I know about Customer Service, but I don't expect that level from a Car Repair Shop on the Sat. night of a 3 day weekend. But there he was with quick answers, follow up questions and a time to bring in my car soon. I'll be back again.
We chose Sportech on the recommendation from two cousins, Jeff and Richard, who own Porsches and have been going to Sportech for years. Earlier this year, we purchased a pre-owned 2010 Cayenne and took it to Sportech because of a check engine light and an oil change. Ryan quickly diagnosed the check engine issue as a faulty temperature sensor. They changed the oil and we made arrangements to drop off the car a couple days later. We dropped of the car in the morning and it was supposed to ready the next day but they called when it was ready that afternoon. They even stayed a few minutes because we were running late. Ryan and Erik have such a passion of Porsches that I could pick their brains all day but I felt guilty because they have a job to do. The best part is I can text Ryan with any question about Porsches and he replies with professionalism and knowledge. I will for sure being using Sportech going forward.
Updated review, October 2021: I had brought my cars here for years, and after an unprofessional experience with Ryan I won't be back. After an oil change at Sportech, my 2013 vehicle (with 64.9K miles) starting leaking oil, around the filter housing per their diagnosis. I brought the car back twice at their request (not counting a 4th time the tech forgot his phone in my car and I had to drive it back to him). The oil leak still remained on the 3rd visit. Tech suggested that the $30 filter housing was cracked, and demanded that I pay for the housing that was damaged during the course of their work (but was fully intact before the visit). Parts break, but if I sat in their waiting room chair and accidentally broke it, I wouldn't get confrontational (like they did with me). I'd offer to pay for a new chair or work with them to make it right. Previous review: I reached out to Sportech to schedule some routine maintenance on my car. Mark was quick to respond over email with quotes and his availability, and the repair turnaround time was quick as well. I'll definitely be back for future services.
The Bay Area has so many mechanics, but it's really hard to find great ones. The guys at Ken's Sportech are the only people I trust with my Porsche. The service I receive there is always second to none. They're knowledgable, friendly, but most importantly, honest. They do great work and treat your car like it's their own.
