After calling earlier in the week to explain my car problem, and making an appointment for the following Monday, I dropped my car off on Sunday evening using the after hours drop box. I asked them to check my dim headlights and another noise my car was making. Received a call on Monday afternoon that my car was ready. Everyone I spoke with was super friendly, and the price point was reasonable. Will definitely be bringing my car back in the future!

They were very helpful and detailed. I usually work on my own car but if left my car with them Thursday because I couldn t figure out the issue. Of course the issue stopped as soon as they drove it so instead of just giving me the car back and telling me that there is no issue they called me and asked if they could keep the car over the weekend to try to experience the issue and actually fix it. I said yes and sure enough on Monday they call me telling me they figured it out and they fix the car! They didn t try to tell me that I was crazy and nothing was wrong with the car like most other shops would do but instead they believed me and waited until the issue came up again then fixed it! Amazing experience!!! Would definitely recommend if you re on the fence!

Great experience from beginning to end. I called the shop on a Monday to ask about having my VVT kit installed on my Mazdaspeed 3. It was due for a the service as it was never changed out and I started to hear a bit of rattle. They were quick to answer my questions and provide me with an estimate. I made the appointment for Thursday and the car was ready the next day to be picked up. They called and informed me that my Power steering hose was cracked and they swapped it out and did an oil change during the initial service and the car was ready to be picked up. I picked up the car started it and it now runs much smoother and quieter. Great service and will be sure to come back again for other services. Glad I chose them, it was a right sign especially after arriving and seeing 3 Mazdaspeed 3s being serviced and a very clean Mazdaspeed 6 (shop owners) car sitting there when I picked mine up. If you drive a Mazda, please do yourself a favor and come here.

I was in the market for a used car for my son, and I found a Mazda3 2013 which seemed in good condition. I contacted Mr Mazda (based on their stellar reviews) asking if they would do a Pre Purchase Inspection (PPI) and they were very patient with my questions. I eventually used them for the PPI and could arrange everything virtually including: having the car dropped off at their place by the dealer, having their PPI results sent to me by email (so I could discuss with the dealer), and then having the car left with them to complete the needed work. It was so seamless that the first time I went to their location it was to pick up the newly serviced used car ... and pay! Thanks Mr Mazda (and Patrick) for making this such a good experience. Patrick at Mr Mazda is the best! After my mechanic recommended engine replacement at $6k due to misfire despite good compression results, I contacted Mr Mazda for second opinion. Patrick reviewed everything over email, and quickly assessed that the misfire was rather due to a valve cover gasket leak. Patrick recommended to replace valve cover gasket, ignition wires, and spark plugs for the cost of a few hundred dollars. Im glad I consulted him for second opinion. I will always bring my Miata to Mr Mazda from now on! These guys are so efficient, reliable, and honest! Im immensely grateful :)

Always the best in service! Did a 75k service along with a mount + balance on new tires on my 2019 Mazda CX-5 AWD. They did recommend other service needs (replacing rear brake pads and discs) while doing their inspection. Glad I went for it as it gave me piece of mind for later trips. For mechanical work, it s usually a case of might as well while other work is always being done. Batching work is a good way to save time and money!

My first visit to Mr. Mazda was to get the rainwater drains just behind the seats unclogged, because I had wet carpets in my 2006 Miata. They did the job efficiently and effectively. I admire that their shop is clean and well organized, and that I could wait for the repair to my car. Ill be a future customer as time goes on.

Dropped off a car to get an EVAP leak fixed - they charged me for a diagnostic as I requested, called me to tell me it was indeed a fuel hose crack, and fixed it same day when I okayed the fix. The fix ended up being slightly more than I was quoted about a month ago, but I assume it was just prices going up due to inflation. Super friendly, 10/10, will take my car to them again for future service.

Finding the right shop to service your car can be a stressful task for anyone, even for those who have some experience working on cars (basic DIY and maintenance). I found Mr. Mazda by researching online Mazda forums and Reddit communities and am grateful that I found them. I live in San Francisco so it was a trek for us to get all the way out to Campbell but I consider that a necessary sacrifice to ensure our car is taken care of properly. I have trust issues after hearing horror stories of auto repair shops with deceptive practices and doing low quality work. It was important that I had strong trust and confidence in handing over the keys to our 2014 Mazda CX-5 to someone. After our experience with Mr. Mazda, I have no regrets and will continue making the trip down to Campbell for future services. I worked mostly with Pat over the phone and instantly knew that Mr. Mazda was exactly what I was looking for in an auto repair shop. Mr. Mazda is transparent, honest and treats you like a valued client. I had a laundry list of things that I wanted to service on our car but after Mr. Mazda took a look at our car they recommended that certain things were in good shape and didnt need to be replaced or serviced. Our CX-5 runs great after getting the water pump, thermostat and drive belts replaced and Mr. Mazda finished the job with time to spare. Fair and competitive pricing to add!

I used to take my Mazda for service but when I no longer had it I kept taking my Subaru. Even if it s not their advertised specialty they still do a good job on it and I trust them more than anyone else with it.

Had a check engine light for my mazda rx-8. I recently bought the vehicle from a private dealer and had a cel come in after a quarter tank of gas. Turns out the last mechanic who worked on the intake manifold system . Mr.Mazda was able to identify, remediate, and return my vehicle within 2 days. If you have a rotary I highly recommend these guys as they have lots of experience with them. I will be returning back for other jobs as needed.

Very honest, I told them my transmission symptoms with my Miata and fixed it really nicely and cheaply. Friends say the labor pricing is very cheap and I agree. I asked them if they can do certain things and they said it is unnecessary and they dont recommend, so they are very honest. I live kinda far away but I think its worth the uber ride just to get to this place

Mike is pretty straight forward. Hes had his shop for 32 years, I know this because hes personable and he struck up a conversation with me. Hes practical, expressing what actions do require attention while making suggestions on timeframes for others that arent as important. I was in need of a few things to make sure my car was safe and he got me going back on the road feeling safe. I would recommend this shop.

Great professional and honest business. The last time I asked to have all my breaks changed they called me while the car was on the lift to let me know the rear brakes can wait. They don t just exclusively work on Mazdas if your repair/service needs are basic - I ve had my Lexus IS-250 spark plugs and tires/breaks replaced here.

So I purchased a Rx-8 for my daughters 16th bday from illinois. It came with an issue that was suppose to have been fixed already but wasnt and it wont smog without it. Having already known the issue I asked Mazda to fix it BUT OF COURSE they wanted to diagnose and test the entire vehicle and find more issues themselves before fixing the 1 issue I specifically asked them to fix. Would be upwards of 700 to diagnose before getting to my issue so more like 1300. I said forget this. I called around and left messages and the 1 person that picked up and helped me was Mike. Yay! He told me to bring the car in the very next morning. I didnt even mind driving the 75 miles (yep 75miles) Mike knew exactly what I was talking about and didnt try to push anything else on me about diagnosing the entire vehicle etc. AND even answered some questions about my OTHER Rx-8 that is actually mine. I fell in love with Max and he kept me company while I waited and was out of there before lunch! My hero! Thanks Mike and Max! You got yourself a loyal customer for life. Joyce Uilani

Mr Mazda is the only mechanic we will visit in the bay area. Tim and his team do great work and are very honest - they never recommend work just to make a buck. We were previously going to a dealership in RWC, and Tims prices are consistently 1/3 to 1/2 of the price - for services as well as repairs. Just be aware the waiting room is very small (2 chairs) and there is not much nearby except a nice walking trail. There is WiFi and AC in the waiting area however.

Called on a Wednesday with an AC issue on my 2016 Miata. Tim asked me to text him photos of the issue I observed. He recognized the issue and ordered parts ahead of time despite being a brand new customer over the phone. Dropped the car off Thursday morning. Picked it up Thursday afternoon with the problem resolved for a reasonable price. Painless and pleasant.

So happy I took my new to me NA Miata to them for the Timing belt service. They also were able to sort out the engine over heating after a recent radiator change done by my long time trusty Honda mechanic. The culprit was too long of a hose that was supposedly kinked a bit for proper flow. Now my Miata is putting happy and I am happier.

Recently had an issue with my 2006 Mazda 3 CEL light FLASHING. I had it towed to Mr. Mazda at 8 am. Tim had the vehicle diagnosed within 4 hours. He contacted me via phone and gave me the detailed cost to repair. Be the end of the day it was ready for pickup. Mr. Mazda ( Tim), repair cost was reasonable. If you have a Mazda, and want a GREAT mechanic, do not hesitate bring to Tim. Thanks Mr. Mazda!!

I cant thank Tim enough for saving me from making a huge mistake of buying a 2004 RX8 with a dead motor. I was told the car was fine at a dealership and the hot start problem was just the starter. Went to Mr Mazda the next day with the car and just two questions and one ignition crank later, the car was back to the dealership.

Not the place to go if you have a modified Mazda they won t work on your car!! It s not like I have a fully built motor/race car. Their website even says We also provide performance upgrades for the MazdaSpeed 3 how can you provide upgrades when you can t even work on the car if it s upgraded. I was told this place was knowledgeable on the Mazdaspeed platform but apparently they are only knowledgeable on cars that are stock.

Tim answered on Sunday, was able to see me Monday and I couldn t be happier. Update: check engine light came on and I called up Tim, he said to bring the car by for a check up. I m not in the habit of asking for free labor, but he said that since the safety test had only been done 2 days before it was ok. They ran obd and it turned out to be a fluke TPS indication, but it out my mind as ease. Thank you Tim!

Ive been going to Mike and Mr. Mazda for... wow, maybe nearly a decade. This shop is one of those rare places where they talk you out of doing things that you dont need to do. They arent cheap recent prices are comparable to dealer prices but where the dealer will do their best to get you to spend money on things you dont need, Mr. Mazda just wont do this. Mr. Mazda tells you what you really need, and theyre very honest about what can wait and what cant. Its weird to say, I trust an auto mechanic. When it comes to this shop, though, I do. Thats why I keep coming back. Ive owned three Mazdas, and theyve all been serviced here on a regular basis. The service writers are very straightforward: You need to do this. You dont need to do that. I might be able to save you some money here. You dont want to save money there. This can wait another 5,000 miles. I wouldnt worry about that. I like doing business with people who are honest. Ive been scammed by a few auto mechanics and dealerships over the years. I keep coming back here because theyre just interested in doing the work that needs to be done. This strategy has worked well, as I remember when the shop was just Mike and one other guy. Now hes got a bunch of guys working there, and cars out the door. Tim now runs the front counter and hes as good to work with as Mike ever was. Clearly their strategy is working. Its sure worked on me.

Mr. Miata treated me and my car with respect. I came in with a list an arm long, of things that seemed to be wrong, he fixed what was bad ,and told me some of my concerns were un warranted . I think his prices are fair. All of my repairs were done in a timely manner.
