10044 Artesia Blvd, Bellflower, CA 90706, United States
Very honest. Expected to pay way more. Every other place I went to was going to gouge me. One place was 30 times more expensive! Very satisfied.
Honest workers! They know a lot about cars! I went in because I was told by other mechanics that my transmission needed to be replaced but they guided me to what my car actually needed which saved me $1000’s
These guys are the best in the business, bar none! I bought my 75 corvette in when my transmission wasn't shifting properly. They found that the solenoid shifter inside the transmission was faulty, so they dropped the pan and replaced it! Not only did they fix my problem, but replaced my pan bolts with the correct bolts! Dan and his brother are extremely experienced and very honest guys! I was very pleased and will be forever grateful to them both! Anyone else would have changed me a arm and probably an leg as well! These guys are definitely a blessing to the community and to all that come there way!! So if you want good reliable workmanship for a honest price, take my word for it!! It doesn't get any better!!! These guys are keepers! You can believe that!! True colors! Thank you so much for your honesty and integrity! You've made a friend for life! Believe it!
I’ve been getting work done here for 10 years. Bill and Dan at Community Transmissions are both extremely knowledgeable and experienced. They’ve always shown me exactly what pieces broke or what went wrong with a transmission. They are straightforward, fair, and honest mechanics and business owners. Do yourself a favor and get your transmission repaired here. You won’t find a better price either.
I have a classic 56 Thunderbird with what I thought was a bad transmission. Dan checked it out for me and found out the transmission was OK, and he explained in detail how he reached that determination. Exceptional honesty, very hard to find today. I highly recommend this shop.
Dan is very a knowledgeable and honest person, he explained the problem could be my flex plate which would be less expensive and save me some money, but if not the flex plate, it's the transmission he said. He quoted me a fair and reasonable price to rebuilt my transmission compared to others. I highly recommend him for your transmission problems. Call, visit and get a quote.
Dan and Bill are extremely knowledgeable and honest guys! I had the best experience at Community Transmissions! They fixed the problem quickly and efficiently, at a low cost. Highly recommended!
Had my turbo 350 rebuilt here recently. Superb attention to detail on the rebuild. Much better quality than others I’ve seen out there. Very knowledgeable and fair on the price. I will do business in the future here.

The transmission on my truck went out one sunday so I had it towed to this place. I couldnt believe it when he called and said it was ready for pick up the next day!
Just the best. My 2007 tahoe is running like new. Did an awesome job. Dan is the transmission man you our looking for. Totally recommend this place.

The Best and honest enough said.
My transition quit on me and I asked a mechanic friend who he would use to diagnose and fix it. He suggested Community Transmission. Their price was mid range but their quality was AMAZING!!! My transmission has been flawless for years now...and I pull a boat to Vegas and Havasu multiple times a year in 115° to 120° air temperature. These guys are wonderful.
Honest is always the best.
They are the best!
They do what they say they are going to do and charge what that deserves. Very simple no hassle business.
If there were five negative stars for rating this place, I would give them all five. My horror story had started with taking my perfectly running Volvo to Fjords of Sweden a one-man-operated shop in Bellflower for an oil change. Art, the owner-mechanic, got in my car, and without saying a word he drove away. It took quite a while before he returned with the car and the unexpected news that something was wrong with the transmission. He must have done something to it, because my car--transmission included was in excellent condition; it had only 46,000 miles on it. On my way home to Downey the car broke down I heard loud bangs from under the hood, I couldnt shift gears properly, and the Reverse didnt work at all. I called Fjords of Sweden, and they said that the transmission should be rebuilt, and told me to take the car to Community Transmissions in Bellflower. I had to have the car towed there. By the time I got to Community Transmissions, Fjords of Sweden had phoned to them that I should need a rebuilt transmission. (They would get a kickback of course.) Dan, from the transmission place, took my car for a test drive (yes, the car seemed to be running fine again!), but nevertheless he said that the transmission had to be rebuilt. I was at their mercy. Two days later, as I was driving my car home from Community, I noticed that the gasoline was down to the minimum red area. I had taken the car with over half a tank of gasoline to Community they siphoned off the gas, and even stole the original Volvo tank cap, and replaced it with a cheap, used, ill-fitting generic cap. This was theft, a criminal act. I also tend to believe that my perfectly good original Volvo transmission parts were replaced with aftermarket or used parts. I was ripped off, and the entire nefarious collusion between Fjords of Sweden and Community Transmissions cost me some $1,600 including car rental, and replacing the stolen gasoline and tank cap (this time a lockable one). This outrageous amount was considerably more than my monthly Social Security pay. I was saving that money toward my eye surgery. They did not care that I am an old, handicapped man. And dont be misled by the positive 5 star reviews they must be fake..
unfortunate name but great service
I brought my car there on a trailer driving over 50 miles based on a friends recommendation, the transmission was a basket case from a previous repair job. It was overhauled at the exact price quoted and it works better than it ever had. I wouldnt go anywhere else.
Good honist guys, there dad built it in the 50s and the two sons run it now!
A great place very friendly
So im giving this place 5stars. I went to this place because i couldnt remember last time i did a tranny fluah on my 03 camry so i went here cuz it was near home and and dude looked at it and said i was good for a while it didnt need it and answered concerns i had hearing flushes mess up trannys sometimes. Well reall cool dude and very knowledged. Usually mechanics tell you that you need aomething you dont but this guy told me i was good for a while so no worry about getting ripped off here. praise Jesus Christ yall
Transmissions only great mechanic
Dan quoted me a price over the phone and it was real close to it plus the service done was fast and professional on my 02 chevy suburban 4x4. Extremely satisfied.
I have taken 4 vehicles here to be repaired or serviced and they have always been very honest and they have done great work. One time I took my car in thinking I had a serious problem with the transmission, but they found it was just a solenoid. Being a woman, they could have told me I needed major repairs and charged and arm and a leg, but they didnt they were honest and I had my car back the same day. I have referred family and friends to them and will continue to do so. I wont go anywhere else for transmission problems.
Honest and reliable
Dan was very nice, not only on the phone but also in person as well,(which is hard for some people in business to do)! I looked on line and thought maybe Ill take it back to Aamco, who rebuilt it over two years ago. Some of the ratings and reviews where I am now living were not so good.I found this transmission shop locally and thought I would give it a chance. I am going on the road a lot now to San Diego and back twice a week and really wanted to feel safe . They are very professional, courteous and very knowledgeable! Thank you Dan and his brother for believing in making a family business loyal! Randy F. Cerritos/Bellflower area.
