A J's Auto body & Paint in Arcadia

I'd give 6 stars if I could. In June of 2024, on a west coast road trip from Canada to Los Angeles, my control arm bushing gave out. Being on such short notice, I could get a same day used control arm and new bushing. I needed help pressing the bushings in as they were specialty bushings. I called multiple shops, all quoted ridiculous $100+ prices and multiple day lead times out. I stumbled across this shop driving back from the junkyard, and gave them a shot. I handed them the new bushings, control arm, and provided a request to assemble. They had the new bushings pressed into my control arm in under 30 minutes, no problem. Charged me 30 bucks. I swapped the control arm out in a HF parking lot and had zero issues all the way back to Canada. If you're ever wondering what the difference is between this shop and the hundred other mom and pop shops in the same area? Pick these guys because they have morals. They helped me not because they saw a quick buck, but because they felt it was the right thing to do.

I have a 2016 Hyundai Accent which needed a new bumper and some work done on the passenger side bottom portion of the car. I brought it to AJ's and met Joe (the owner) and Ernesto. They are very professional, thorough, and detail oriented. I just picked up my car and it looks brand new. I am so happy with the results and the overall experience was amazing. Thank you Joe and Ernesto for such a positive experience.

This is the best body shop I have ever been to. I have had several vehicles that have needed repairs over the last 25 years and by far AJs is above and beyond all the rest. The shop owner Joe and his son are very welcoming, professional, and very customer oriented. The work is exceptional and they go above and beyond for their customers. If you need body work done, go to AJs , you will not be disappointed. I am proud to support a family owned shop that does outstanding work.

My husband broke a bulb in his headlights in his Hyundai Santa Fe when trying to replace it. So, I called AJ‘s and was told I could come right over. I took the car over with the bulbs and Joe was able to replace the bulb straight away … nice guy, honest business, excellent service.

I have been taking my vehicles to Joe for years and I live all the way in Hollywood. I make the drive to Arcadia because a good and honest mechanic is hard to come by. If you know you know. And Joe is worth his weight in gold. If you want good work at a fair price you should be bringing your vehicle to AJ’s.

Really appreciate all their fine work. I arrived at AJ's with a car whose paint was severely eroded everywhere: its condition was such that the car had been reduced to its bare rust underneath, especially so on the roof, due to many years of neglect. The self-work for which one would have to do to restore their car to even a moderately decent condition would have been all too imposing, and I am not at all a professional or even the slightest bit knowledgeable about cars and their maintenance. Such a formidable task of restoration certainly requires a trip to a mechanic or auto-body repair shop, and I am delighted to say that AJ's was exactly that business. I arrived nervous and intimidated about the prospect and cost of such work, but after a consultation, AJ, named after father and son, Avo and Joe, respectively, assured me that they would restore the car to quality condition, just as one would have beheld when buying it the first day. Upon examining current and previous reviews of customers, it revealed that all testified to AJ's quality service. And AJ certainly upheld those testimonies. Although the cost was high to restore the paint in all areas of the car, the end result was absolutely worth it. Now, whenever I walk to my car and see it, I can look upon it with relief and joy for the new life and energy it has, and be with it in public, knowing that eyes will not judge and perceive my character to be of apathy, laziness, and defeat. I am now a new man, ready to sit in and drive my car with redemption and determination to care for it much better than I have had before. Now, about the interior seat covers... that I got to address.
