NEEDS ZERO STARS. PARTS CANNON SHOP!!! They TOTALLED out my very rare truck! More concerned about upselling then repairing! LONG STORY BUT WORTH THE READ. Took my 2008 King Ranch Expedition EL 4x4 for A/C recharge the summer before this incident to this shop and was told had a slow leak in the condenser but would probably make it through the summer with a freon recharge. At the end of the following summer I had enough with the A/C taking 30-45 minutes of highway driving for the air to get cold. The wife took the truck in and asked them to complete the repairs THEY had diagnosed from before. After also recommending a new radiator, that was very slowly leaking water from the seam, I agreed to the radiator as I was told the A/C condenser was indeed leaking freon and needed to be changed to fix the A/C. The tech and the desk lady both ensured the A/C would be fixed and a future water leak would also be averted; fine. After a week in the shop, I picked up the truck at 10am on a Friday (~80° outside) and the A/C temp felt exactly the same as it did the week before. Went right back to the shop and they confirmed the A/C system was full of freon BEFORE they started the work!... NOT leaking freon! Why then was $1,300+ of work and parts changed out and no proper diagnosis was made?! The leak they visually identified in the condenser was actually the Power Steering fluid collecting dirt through a very slow leak. Power steering lines run through the A/C condenser in many Fords and notoriously leak. The very rude tech, with metal @#&t hanging from his face, left a hose clamp for the transmission line off the new radiator. This cooked my transmission as I was driving later that day on the freeway when the hose blew off the fitting. The entire paint, underbody and engine bay was drenched in Transmission oil. Hydraulic oil is usually corrosive to paint. So AAA found that the Transmission got damaged when the oil drained out and the truck may possibly have electrical issues and need a new paint job in a few months if the clearcoat starts to peel. So they totalled it out. Left my family of 6 without a vehicle for six months until we could find an equivalent replacement that was CA smog legal. Thanks Auto DIAGNOSTICS for not actually diagnosing my A/C, it cost my family a truck that they all loved. Ended up with a totalled vehicle and A/C was never repaired properly by admission of the shop owner. Thankfully AAA and BofA are great and covered our loses. But nothing repairs this horrible experience as the used replacement vehicle was 2x the cost of the 08 King Ranch.

Very poor service! Estimates skyrocketed and the employee was swearing. I went in for a small issue and the cost skyrocketed to $700 without my approval! I would never return to this shop.

1978 Datsun 280Z belonged to my mom before she passed away. She used to think she was so cool... those are fond memories. She left the car to me but its been sitting since 1998. Well Im approaching 60 now and she died in 2009 at 61. Charlie of Auto diagnostics in Antioch has done an amazing job at restoration. They got my moms Datsun running like a charm. It sounds and runs fantastic. It means so much to my family . Thank you Charlie for not just fixing my moms car but also repairing my heart.

Horrible! Kept our car for 7 days and didnt even diagnose it. Then tells us somethings wrong that isnt and wanted $600 to fix it. Charged us $190 dollars for absolutely NOTHING. Asked them to leave our car outside for AAA and they didnt so we had to pay for a tow and gas for a 40 minute trip for nothing just to have to come back out the next day. No apologies. Terrible that there are people like this.

I did not have alot of interaction with anyone. But they had an opportunity to really rip me off but proved to be a very honest shop. Long story short they listened and when they could not reproduce the issue I had, they returned my van without charging me. I believe they can be trusted and will he honest about what is needed.

They were able to see me same day and got me fixed and on the road in a few hours with new brake pads.

We went here to get pre-purchase car inspection and everyone was really helpful. The inspection was quick and smooth. They also gave us quotations for our future car s needed maintenance. Plus, Charlie is a really sweet guy!

I took my teenage daughters vehicle to Auto Diagnostics to identify the underlying issue. During the assessment, I interacted with a pleasant and relatable Asian gentleman who demonstrated excellent manners and humor and could empathize with the challenges of parenting teenagers. Upon leaving the vehicle at the facility, an amiable office staff member, whose name, unfortunately, escapes me now, provided transportation to my mothers residence. I distinctly recall her exceptional kindness and proficient driving skills. Subsequently, Charlie called to indicate the necessity of conducting lean diagnostics, which would cost $175. Upon providing consent for the diagnostics, it was determined that a cracked intake hose was the root cause of the vehicles performance issues. Despite our ownership of the Honda for a mere three months, I regret not arranging a pre-purchase inspection at Auto Diagnostics. Despite the unforeseen vehicle issue, my experience with Auto Diagnostics has been exceptional. The establishment has consistently offered competitive pricing and delivered outstanding service for all my automotive maintenance needs, prompting me to hold Auto Diagnostics in high esteem. As I intend to return for future services, I am keen to remember the names of the individuals who have attended to my vehicles.

Had some issues with my vehicle and called about 6 different garages to help me fix my car. All of them turned me away except for auto diagnostic. They are real good people and very friendly. I appreciate all the work they did to help get my car back on the road. I would definitely refer anyone to this shop. A little pricey but I drove a BMW and I guess thats what you get for a car like that lol thanks again Auto Diagnostic!! You guys are great will be back thats for sure!

I usually called for an update near days end. Now waiting on information regarding some parts that were removed and need replaced - frame plugs for holes covering lower control arm bolts. Im confident that they will take care of this, so 5 stars. I would recommend this shop if you are looking for a place to take your car.

I went back for maintenance Oil change, made appointment got there was told it would be about 1-2 hrs after 2 hrs & watching all of them still goffing off in the office I just wanted tho home & wait no soon that I left I saw them take my truck in for the oil change, after being there them seing me seating there waiting for my appointment. WOW!! And not one guy in that shop helped me get my walker in my Truck. I will never go back to this MALE OWN shop, I will keep going to my favorite trustworthy faithful honest shop Big Os on East 18 Th Street, been going there for over 28 yrs. Had to go to this shop because I need a new engine which took them forever to get.

I wish I can t write the review without stars but anyway I brought my bmw for a tune up and a water leak about 3 months ago a unfortunately it seems that they didn t do any work at all the very next day my car pop out a code and it was cause they left a broken spark plug and water leak I brought it back cause of that and still have the water leak and they just fix the broken spark plug and this last Saturday I went to yuba city and before I left home I have add water and I have to take some extra water for the trip and then I check oil i and guess what it seems that they didn t change the oil what it get me mad it s that they charge over 2,000 buck for a horrible job if they did it right I don t mind if they charge me more

I have a 2011 Saab 9-5 Aero Turbo6 XWD. Very hard to find parts for most of the time. These people did a great job and replaced my serpentine belt and a tensioner that had gone out, as well as replacing the engine oil cooler. And they had it back to me in under 24 hours. Will be retuning for sure. Thank you guys

Got my car serviced there for an oil change February 28th, 2023 and it looks like they didnt complete the oil change as initially intended. While my vehicle is supposed to have 5 quarts I have come to find it has been running on 2 quarts since I had been serviced there. Also come to find that certain screws that were meant to keep my air filter in place werent there either. Now after getting my car back from a separate repair shop after a completely unrelated incident that happened April 25, 2023 my engine is starting to fail due to the lack of oil. After talking to the shop to figure out how to proceed forward with getting help to remedy the situation and figure out how to proceed forward their only response was to have them sell me a new engine rather than actually take any responsibility.

They did a wonderful job and I m very pleased

Most Diagnostic specialists start off immediately with $200.00 just to check your vehicle , it wasn t the case here checked the problem and repaired it . Made suggestions about other repairs , will return to have them taken care of . I d rather go to a local repair shop over the dealer .

I had a great experience there, the owner was very nice and accomodating and actually greeted me with tacos! Reminds me of the good men I grew up with. In the end I got a great deal and I can honestly say Ill never take my truck elsewhere !

Talked to Charlie at 0830, asked whether or not he had time to check out my car, he says yes. Hes got the manpower. I ask how long it will take, I have to be back at work. Three hours. My car is there at 0900, Car was (supposedly) done at 1200, almost $1800 worth of work. Spoke with Charlie, someone was on their way to get me. 1230, called again. Someone is on the way. Three hours pass. Im calling throughout. At this point, Ive missed when I am supposed to be at work. (Not an office job. Have to sign in on time, then leave work site to be at another specified site at a certain time. Usually have 30-45min to get there, god forbid traffic.) Called again, I am told someone else is coming to pick me up, I dont believe it. Luckily I am able to get another ride. Arrive to lot 1547. Office calls to say someone is at my residence to pick me up. I inform them I am in the lot. I walk in to speak with the woman at the counter to hear Charlie talking negatively about my situation, and his disdain that I didnt wait for someone I really didnt think was coming. Very unprofessional, unwarranted, and irritating. Not my first bad experience, but will be the last.

Took my 2002 chevy suburban in for a leaking gas tank and bad u joints, Charles and Daniel took care of it and more, even gave free estimates for other repairs and due maintenance i ended up with a new tank ,new u joints ,torsion correction, and all new steering components off recommendations,. So to say the truck drives better than day one ive had it . I never take my cars to anyo e because I dont trust people to work on my cars but the definitely became my official shop. Definitely go to them

I cannot say enough GOOD about this place.. My car literally feels, drives and sounds like i have a brand new car. I took it in thinking it was going to be this giant, expensive problem. But the manager Charlie test drove it and immediately spotted the issue. The parts took longer than expected but absolutely worth the wait! I cannot believe how much better my car is. Very satisfied with ALL the friendly staff and excellent service/repairs. Oh and I really like the inspection report they do, taking pictures of concerns and adding that to the report they print for your records. 6 STARS FOR SURE!

AWESOME customer service. Very knowledgeable. I believe Charlie helped me out with my service. I needed to get three of my motor mounts replaced. Brought it in the am when they opened so that they could check it first and after confirming the service needed it was already done by the late afternoon. Also super happy that they had a shuttle service so that I could get some work done at home while it was in the shop. 10/10 would get my work done here again!

When I was doing my research for a mechanic shop. I found Auto Diagnostic & Repair. I was having problems with my truck, the issue was that the exhaust smells were coming through the vents of the vehicle. When I received the estimate, I thought it was reasonable because I compared it to other shops. Their staff was really good and inform me about every update and let me make the decision to move forward with issues that the vehicle could have. When all repairs were done the final bill was less then the estimate that was given. This repair was done on my vehicle a year ago and I still do not have these issues which is great. I really would recommend them to anyone, they are honest, for the people, and have excellent quality technicians. keep up the good work.

If you re looking for a reasonably priced and 100% guaranteed work on your vehicle you should come here. I have brought my Honda Civic here multiple times for different repairs on my car. I have never had to come back for them to fix the same problem again. Once the problem is fixed it s fixed! They are always very kind, honest, and straightforward. Charlie only sells you what you need on your car. Doesn t oversell you or anything. My car was back on the road again in no time. I have dealt with many sketchy mechanics but this is the only one in my lifetime that has provided me high quality work without overselling me. They don t take advantage of you like other repair shops if you re a woman either. (I only say this because I have been treated very poorly by other shops in terms of them trying to oversell me on repairs & treat me like I m stupid.) Everyone was great. Dropped my Mercedes off to Charlie and two days it was ready to pick up. A driver dropped me off at home-I can t remember his name but he was the best. My only drawback was I would have appreciated it if they washed my vehicle before I picked it up. I would definitely recommend AD&R.

During my initial visit to an auto diagnostic center, I had the pleasure of speaking with Charlie, who exuded a friendly and welcoming demeanor. As such, I felt confident in entrusting my vehicle to the centers technicians for a thorough inspection. The inspection aimed to appraise a used 2006 Chevrolet Impala with 90,000 miles, which I was considering purchasing from a Costa Country public auto auction in Pittsburg for my daughter for $6,900. I am grateful to have invested $175 for the diagnostic, as the results were instrumental in identifying several critical issues with the vehicle, including a broken seat and visor, a leaking steering rack, an out tire, and a broken motor mount. The transmission lines, firing leaks, and air conditioning system also exhibited several defects. The air conditioning system, in particular, blew hot air on the passenger side, and its blend door produced a conspicuous noise. The comprehensive inspection results were invaluable, as they enabled me to avoid an ill-advised purchase that could have potentially resulted in costly repairs and jeopardized my daughters safety. I want to thank Charlie, Ruden, and my service adviser, Daniel, for their professionalism and expertise throughout the inspection process. I intend to bring my vehicle to this center for future maintenance and repairs.

I had my 1999 passat in for service. They washed the underside of the engine, oil pan and transmission assembly. It had accumulated a lot of oil, grease, grim, etc, etc, etc for 15-20 years. It was until this last Sunday I was able to drive the car onto ramps and inspect the job they did. I was impressed how clean the underside of the car is, specially the Botton of the engine, oil pan, transmission assembly, It is CLEAN. My only complaint is that when I went to pick it up the car the from the service shop the front of the car was covered in some mud/oily substance and also there were missing 5 of the fasteners to hold in place the under shield of the car. I told immediately the manager of the store and He seemed surprised. On one hand the service was great. The engine is quite clean On the other hand the way they performed the service leaves a lot to be desired. And I am able to replied until now because I was able to inspect it until this last Sunday. Thank you!

My daughter hit the center divide on E. 18th st. She told me she had a flat but turned out to be a lot more than that. Auto diagnostic worked with my car insurance carrier & got us in & out of there within the week! Fantastic service to say the least. Ive been looking for a local repair shop to work on all my cars and Ill tell you I think I found it!

DISCLAIMER: This not to discredit the quality of work that was done on my vehicle, but to discredit the honesty and trust of this establishment. I came in for a replacement of an alternator change on my car, and charles told me that he did not give quotes over the phone, that he would put the the best part in my car, and that he would be cheaper than the dealer so I said okay and while I was there he told and showed me how much the part was which was $277 but the labor was more expensive. however he up changed me on the part by $640.82, and when I confronted him about this he told me that he had to upmark the price for everyone because he is under pressure from his boss to bring up the numbers of the establishment and I said it not about the money for me it about the honest and trust of an establishment that keeps me coming back. I would NOT recommend this establishment to anyone please go somewhere else. DISCLAIMER: This is not to discredit anyone else experience at this establishment, I am just giving my own experience. P.S. The Antioch dealership was cheaper Charles.

I went to the Brentwood location to see if they could look at my broken heater/defroster (had a 9am appt) and they said that they couldnt guarantee that it would be fixed or even looked at that day and asked if i had someone picking me up and I told the guy behind the counter that I would wait and he responded by saying do you see any chairs? We dont do waiters. I was shocked. I got on the phone to the Antioch location and spoke to Charlie. After hearing my Brentwood experience, he said bring the car to me and ill look at it immediately and get you home and pick you back up too. Now thats customer service! Car got repaired for a fair price and true to his word, got picked up at home to collect my car from the shop. Will definitely use them in future!

They took my car on Jan 2 2023 when most places were closed; diagnosed it and had it ready by the next morning before 10am. They diagnosed it right away and gave me an estimate. I needed a new alternator & radiator. They were polite & professional. They explained things as simply as possible. Four days later and my car is still running great. Thank you for your good work!

I wouldn t go here ever again they lied an said I would have to take out my transmission to fix a ticking noise in my engine which was just my lifter s needed to be replace an if I would have went thur with it an got it fixed there it would have been 1500 there liars an dishonest
